Thanks buddy. The stool is awesome!! With the problems I have with my back I can now sit at “chair” height to rest and easily convert to “stool” height to work on my bench. Also, thanks to all of you subscribers that wished me a happy birthday. The stool was a great present, but the best present in my life is having Chris as my son. Couldn’t be more proud of you buddy!!
Thanks for the great video. Did you look /consider the Vyper Low-Pro model. It’s Fixed seat height. - I’d be using it for car detailing /wheel cleaning /car. Polishing./paint correction on lower panels ect/ wheel coating - thanks !!
I made my shop chair for just under $100. I bought a computer chair, a heavy duty metal chair base, and 3" rubber caster wheels, all from amazon. It easily rolls over cords, the uneven relief cracks in my garage floor, and wood chips and pieces of various sizes.
not being a jerk , you might want to clean that valley on your roof out, before you have water problems. crazy what people see in a video. love the show
The reason for leaving things loose is that if you tighten them, holes for other bolts or screws may not line up and you will have to loosen them up for the holes to align. Parts often shift out of place during assembly so you're saving time and frustration by tightening later.
Hell yes!! That's so awesome!! And I loved seeing your boy out on the swing! He's getting big. And dang, he was gettin swinging! Anyhow I digress brother! Awesome seat! Awesome video!! Awesome family! I hope your son and daughter and wifey are all doing very well my friend! Take it easy! Until next time!
Thank you buddy yeah it’s a one off just for me. It’s a little bit depth in terms of what I did on the laser with some living hinge stuff maybe home test it on the market
I have two of them, one in each shop. Both are the tall ones, I am the guy who has a creeper that is over 50 years old so quality in shop tools is important. I think I may get the low one to work on cars.
Great review. I had struggled with shop chairs for years. Mostly because I have different height benches for welding, electronics work, gunsmithing etc. I have found that there are some really sweel drafting chairs which didn't work because of the crappy wheels they had. I ended up replacing the standard casters and wheels with skateboard wheels and casters and lo and behold - Perfection!
Been drooling over this chair for a while. I’m not spend the money myself but it is on my birthday/Christmas list for the wife to buy 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻. Be interested to see a 1 year review on them.
@@pwhsbuild dude... it's a stool. It doesn't make anything. It's not an investment. It doesn't have any special features other than being extra sturdy. To justify that kind of expenditure, IMO, one would have to have disposable income. If it was some sort of special thing that increased productivity to cover the expense, that'd be different. i can't help but think of the many things more important than a shop stool: debt, mortgage, funding his children's education, funding retirement, furniture for the house, date night with the wife, and the list goes on. He can spend his money on whatever he wants, obviously, and i'm honestly not judging him for it - everyone has their own priorities. i just can't imagine having enough disposable income to justify buying a shop stool like that. i would sooner buy the tools to make one.
Chris, as soon as I saw your title, I was intrigued and then followed up with total shock. I thought to myself, "Wow," Chis has gone and lost his bloody mind!! $600 on a shop stool is just madness to say the least. Then I realised why you decided to spend that kind of cash on a shop stool, I can't agree more with the choice you made for your dad's birthday. If anyone deserves to get something good for their birthday instead of the usual "socks and slippers " kind of gifts, it's definitely our father's as let's be honest we never really think about it and it's only when they're nolonger with us that we wish things had been said more or more time had been spent with them etc, you know what I mean. Overall buddy the shop stool is a fantastic choice for a dad's birthday present!!! As always brother 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
1:28 atleast tell me you are or will be selling these parts trays on your website. Having 3 little kids and having to assemble pretty much anything they get, I think I'd be using that minimum once a week. 😂
I have been on the fence on these, I like the quick adjust. Is that new. My shop chairs are pitifully sad. Every last one of them came from the side of the road or a dumpster. Is there a discount if you ger 2?
At the time I subbed to this channel, you were actually making woodworking projects and seemed like a great guy with an awesome attitude. (Two of my requirements for subscribing to a woodworking channel.) While I don't think you've changed, the purpose of this channel sure seems to have. It's no longer a channel about woodworking, it's become a marketing vehicle devoted to selling your CNC'd organizational bits to woodworkers. That's great and all ... glad you're able to make a living at it and wish you nothing but the best but this content has no value for me. And now you're talking about $600 shop stools? Sorry, Chris - I'm out.
Glad you said it. I was watching the video hey i can dig reviews of things ill never purchased then he goes you might have wondered whats this in the background. Well its my new product. Click off. I do think this channel is unsub worthy now.
That’s fine you can go wherever you wanna go take your viewership wherever you want to. I’ll just leave you with this. I kind of look at it like an animal that needs to graze on certain vegetation to survive. My channel is the animal in the projects and viewership are the vegetation. Well, it wasn’t much left to eat with the current location we were in so I had to move. I’m the same animal and I have to still eat the same vegetation, but I had to find it a different way. This business I’ve started, has been extremely beneficial to the livelihood of me and my family. Forever reason the standard project videos just completely stopped getting the views. So I could not rely on that for income at all. I had to leverage people off of TH-cam and use more creative juices to build this business. I hope you understand that and if that’s the reason enough for you to piece out then see you later.
Funny how this triggers people. They’re surrounded by advertising every day. It’s like I’m not driving on this road because of certain billboard is advertising for Nike. This is the way the world is I’m trying to support a family here. With two special needs children and a wife is essentially disabled. Yes, I am trying to absolutely sell as many products as possible.
@@AGlimpseInside Hawking the overpriced, luxury shop stool wasn't really a trigger ... more of a last straw. As I said, I wish you nothing but the best and hope you're massively successful in your endeavors ... it's just that I'm not interested in what this channel has become. I'm not avoiding the road because of the Nike ad ... I'm avoiding the road because it leads to a place I have no interest in going. I have nothing against advertising/sponsorships on channels ... it is indeed the way the world works as you said. But this channel has become nothing but the marketing/advertising arm for your products ... and there's no value in that for me. You seem like a good dude and In all sincerity, I applaud you for figuring out a way to take care of your family ... you'll just have to do it without me. (I suspect you'll be just fine.)
You know, I don’t have the capacity to make what I bought here but I was going to try to make something like this out of wood on the CNC eventually. Now I’m even more curious on if I can do it.

You’re very welcome. Thank you so much.

Can you upgrade to billet caster forks?😊
That I don’t know
On sale it may be 600$ like this weekend. Since they have partnered with spaceX this will cost most people over 700$ for a chair.
Thanks for the info
Love your work, Chris 👍
not being a jerk , you might want to clean that valley on your roof out, before you have water problems. crazy what people see in a video. love the show
No, not taken as a jerk. I do need to do that. Gotta get up on the roof this weekend.

Nail on the head right here. Right on bro
Wonder if anyone has a “Original Traxion Monster Gear Seat” and Vevor has a knockoff- cost 100-200 bucks. Seems to great great reviews on TH-cam
Looks like the Festool of chairs. Worth it, but pricey.
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.

I've had my eye on the Vyper shop chair for awhile, but after seeing your review, I'm going o purchase one! Thanks Chris!
I like the storage organizer you used. I need one of those.
Thank you buddy yeah it’s a one off just for me. It’s a little bit depth in terms of what I did on the laser with some living hinge stuff maybe home test it on the market

Nice present for your Dad. And I’m jealous 🌞
Congrats on the addition to the shop... and happy birthday to your dad!!! 🎉
Thank you Mike I delivered it today. He loved it.
Thanks, I'll check this out!
That is a sweet looking shop chair. You are a great son, I’m sure he is going to be thrilled!
Thank you Tom I appreciate it. He loves it.
Happy birthday to your Dad! 🎉😊
Awesome, Shorty’s Florida Safety Shoes!!!!
Nice review. Couple of us locals have been debating these stool.
See I knew I should have “borrowed” that from you when I was visiting. 😂
Awesome video man. Glad you like the chairs and happy birthday to your dad.

I have questions about your plans you sell on your website. How do I contact you? I’ve emailed already, but no response.

Fantastic looking chairs, Chris! 😃
Happy birthday to your father!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you brother always great to hear from you cheers from above the equator
i wish i had so much disposable income that i could splurge on a fancy shop chair like that.
Not to hard to do if you save up for a couple years or as you make room in your budget.

Yes typically on 2 the will help. Just call em.
You are a great advertisement for the company but I watch because of info not the commentary
Awesome looking Chairs Buddy & Great Video Buddy Hope You & Your Loved Ones Are Well.
Still would love to get the files for your holders and such so I can 3d print them in all the colors I want.
Its not worth it.. I bought a decent table saw, router and miter saw used on craigslist for 600.. package deal.. just a perspective..
For $600 it ought to come at least partially assembled. If I have the money, I don’t want to have to do it myself.
$600 is too much for a leather recliner. Much less a shop stool

That looks like a really nice chair but in todays world that will buy a lot of groceries lol. Maybe someday
High end? Highly stupid price for something you as a DIY'er should be building yourself.
