Thank you for another lovely visit; it really feels like you are having a chat with us. Your vest was stunning; may have to put that in the knitting queue. It sounds like you are settling in at your new home and city, and good luck with your new job. I’m a looking forward to seeing your makes next time. Cheers, Dee
I love that you take the time and explain your thought process in your projects. It is encouraging me to be more methodical. I am actually knitting a guage swatch this time! Ha! Ha! Beautiful knits as always.
I love your knitting projects and the colours you choose, that vintage Rose the one you are knitting the test knit with is beautiful 😍, and your cats soooo cute, are they siblings? Your quilt are beautiful too ❤,Thank you so much and see you soon 🌹
The Iza cardigan fits really nicely! I recommend that, if you opt to sew a button band down the side with buttons that you do the same on the side with the holes (though it will require that you machine sew the button holes or do hand bound ones). I've done it on the button side only and the other side, over the course of time, stretched length-wise more than the other side. It's not a disaster but it's not optimal and I wouldn't do it again. You could always put snaps on the non-public sides of the fabric bands if you don't want to sew buttonholes in the ribbon. It'll still look like the buttons are doing the job but the snaps will mitigate the need for the buttonholes.
I enjoy your podcasts very much..love your patterns and your easy going happy attitude..also your laugh..keep on doing what you are doing..I live in Ontario Canada..
Lovely to see you, Megha! Both of your finished projects are great and look beautiful on you! I want to make both of them :) I’m also looking forward to seeing how the Gaia cardigan turns out. It looks like a lovely pattern.
Hello again !! You totally inspired me!! I am doing the blizzard sweater! I wanted the dark grey, but the store I ordered from was out of it in the rustic yarn I wanted , so I ordered light grey fingering which I will have to hold double and a have a reddish rust knitting for olive for the contrast!! I’m going to cast on as soon as the yarn comes so as to have an easy enjoyable tv knitting project as I am finishing all the old works in progress!! Looking forward to your next project. I went to school in Buffalo in the 70’s 🤣, I currently live in the beautiful Hudson Valley, and also have two previous cats😺😺🧶!!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful garments, they are lovely. You knit so much faster than I do. If I get two summerweight sweaters done for the season it will be a miracle ha ha.
So happy to see this episode. I never thought much about knitting a vest, but I love that green vest with the cables. I’m kind of a beginner, but have been wanting to try cables in a garment and I think the vest would be a perfect choice. Also, really fell in love with the Elizabeth Smith top. The us definitely going on my TBK (to be knit) list. Currently I’m working on my blanket project for your knit along and the Breezy V by Yumiko Alexander. Thanks so much for sharing. Stay safe.
A few days late, but loved catching up with you 💕 I've had summer garments on my mind, it's nice to see what you are making on that front! That cable vest is so scrumptious 😍 My knitting mojo has been low lately, I started a new job three weeks ago and I think it soaked up all my active brain power! I'm craving something soft and simple to do quietly in the evenings 🧶
Hi there!! I’m so glad I found your podcast!! I got your name from Ruth loves to knit!! Your voice is so soothing , the knitting is just beautiful!! I also start a million things and don’t finish anything, at least right away!! I have four complicated garments that will get finished, but I have decided to only knit cardigans with small amount of color work or lace on the yoke, and then plain stockinette. I am finishing a cable funnel neck , an old pattern of Marie Wallin, and I’m never doing a cable again! I have sweaters that easily take more than a year!! Anyway, your work is very beautiful , I’ve had you on all afternoon !! Best regards, and thank you so much! Nancy
I love the mug with the black background. I have a flamingo mug but I love yours. I just bought some of the Sunday by Sandes Garn from McKinney Knittery in McKinney, TX. They have many colors and different types. I know they ship.
Greetings from Syney Australia ..Barbara Radzevicius Bondi CrafterLove you podcast content. The size you knit is my size also so I get a realistic view of how the patterns will look on me too. Best wishes
Thanks Megha, for another Sunday knit along. And, THAT VEST 🎉🎉. The lovely tee is another good summer pattern by Kimberly McAlindin, and I see many yarns that would look beautiful for it, behind you 🧶.
I loved this so much! I'm going Mohave to go back to your older videos and watch! I'm new to garment knitting and love it but I've been trying to figure out what to knit this summer and it never crossed my mind to do super wash fingering weight project which will feel cottony and soft on my hands without being too hard because it's so thin. Perfect idea. I also love that you make so many cardigans. I'm a little afraid to do drop shoulders and panels so it's cool to see someone else make them. I'm a plus sized woman and have also been afraid to invest my time into cables and vests thinking it wouldn't be flattering on me. But seeing yours I don't even care. I need it. lol You totally sold me on your green vest. The color, the shaping, the cables, everything is just perfect. And yours looks so good on you!! I'm not sure what size yours is but I am going to have to go take a look asap. I'm just imagining it with some jean shorts or a white tee shirt underneath or a fall jacket. Can't wait for your next video and new inspiration!
Thank you so much for the lovely message!! I completely understand what you mean by being plus size and afraid of cables making us look bulky! I used to feel the same but this vest is pleasantly flattering!! I made the 50” size which is size 5 I think! I highly recommend the pattern 😁 Thank you so much for watching the podcast 😊😊
@@skeinsofdreamsknits that is exactly what size I would want to make!! Now I know what looks good on you might look good on me!! 🙌🏼 ❤️ I noticed that you said you did some shaping for the waist which I love. Are there any resources you recommend for that for a beginner like me? Or should I just stick to the pattern?
@@vysgiyi honestly I started waist shaping on my own to suit what would look good with my body type. I could elaborate on it if you would like! Just send me an email on skeinsofdreamsknits@gmail.com and I can tell you what I do!
I think the color is a dusty rose? Also I am not sure what has changed but I am having trouble hearing you, I have everything on my laptop turned all the way up. You might want to check your MIC settings. You do such beautiful work, I wish you could teach me how to knit!!
You are the second person who has given the same feedback Bobbi! I think the new location has different acoustics! I will try and use a mic and enhance the audio next time! Thank you 😊😊
I love your ramblings and creativity. I hate to ask, but is there any way it could be louder? For example, I have no trouble with Andrea Mowry's volume, but if I watch skeins of dreams I have to make sure there is absolutely no noise in the background (fans, air conditioner, etc.) which is difficult (and hot) in the summer now. I can listen in the car where I can turn up the volume and not so much noise, but otherwise I am going to miss all summer (with air conditioning). Sorry to bring this up. Everything you make is gorgeous.
Hi Trudy! Thank you so much for the feedback! I think I will try using a mic now that you say this. Hopefully my next video will be loud enough! Thank you so much for your patience as I figure this out ❤️
