- This is my first attempt at sand casting a silver ring; it didn't go as expected but I am quite pleased with the result!
Ring size: 22mm (inner diameter)
Weight: ~7 grams
Material: 925 sterling silver - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
Beautiful, I’ve just cast a silver ring for the first time, I didn’t have enough to make it all the way round so I’ve made a smaller design and plan to recast it soon
Awesome
Thanks Vivek!
nice!!
Hey tak! Håber alt er vel med ingeniørlivet, guitaren og det hele ☀️
Any material option besides sand? i will build my first kiln , i need to cast 160cm staff with brass material, but I need more details
Note : I've never done this stuff. Now that this is said, take a quick google look at "sodium silicate sand casting". the stuff hardens the sand which is more convenient for large parts
@@rapier992 thanks Mr.gwen🙏
Look into green sand, which you can either buy or mix yourself (sand, water and bentonite)
can you heat the cast to let the metal run easily
I should have heated the silver a bit more and created small air vents for the air to escape through. Additionally being more confident when pouring would have helped too :) !
@@jakobhalskov well the size is easily adjustable
Sejt!
