When you ran the ran the one cable to to the stalks you cracked the passenger side console carpeted panel. Its not meant to fold in half like that. Hard pass for me. But looks like an interesting option. Please note the buttons will only actuate if you hit the button on the steering wheel otherwise it’s just a plastic piece.
The bulky body is not well integrated into steering column. The wheel mounted turn signals aren't enough of a bother that I need to spend $500, but nice to see there is an option for those going crazy with them lol
I really don't like the ridiculous horn and high beam functionality on the left stalk. Pulling forward should hold a high beam (like the older cars) with an option quick flash on pull, and pushing forward should lock high beams until it's brought back to toggle them off. That horn beep and interval high beam flashing is just stupid. Ruins the point of it. Why couldn't they just make it like it was in the '23 and older Model 3s?
Why aren't the high beam functions working properly? When you push forwards on that stalk it should toggle lock high or low beams. Deal breaker for me.
Same. Why go through the trouble of creating aftermarket stalks only to put STUPID functionality into the left stalk. Pushing the left should lock high beam (until it's toggled off) and pulling it should flash. Sounding the horn with a left stalk pull is just weird.
The very idea that you have to install them on your own because crazy Elon wanted to get rid of them is rediculous. If Tesla was smart, they'd offer an official service center stalk retrofit.
Tesla went that route with the sole purpose of cutting costs. If they could take the steering wheel off too, they would have done it. I see it coming for when the FSD matures
I love the lack of stalks going from a 2023 MYP with them to now driving a 2024 M3P without. I don’t understand all the hate for the buttons…always work for me and only took a couple of days to get used to. Glad there’s an 3rd party option for those that have issues though!
Understand this: consistency in controls when switching between different cars is important. Ergonomics is important. Why not place a brake pedal as a button on a steering wheel? And a joystick under your left toe for turning left and right? Stalks delete was Just a stupid decision. Give me an actual functioning FSD (unsupervised) then fine do whatever with driver ergonomics, until then, if I still have to drive the car that I paid for FSD in , give me turn stalks 😂
I’m on my 3rd Model 3, a ‘24 Performance. I LOVE the buttons on the wheel, and don’t miss the stalks at all. Proof that taste is all in the mouth, I guess!
May have just been the camera view but it looks like the right stalk blocks your view of the screen a bit. I spend a lot of time watching shows in the car while my wife shops and that would def. be annoying. I assume it is more the larger screen then it is the stalks which may partly be why Tesla removed them.
So what folks don’t seem to get, is that Tesla has imagined a future where no one will be driving their cars, as all Tesla cars are going to be autonomous cars, and future production cars within a year or two will be shipped without steering wheels or pedals, because they’re not needed, because you’re not going to be driving a Tesla. So you can drive those other guys cars, presumably, but no one will be driving a Tesla, because the car is the robot, it does not require humans behind the wheel because there’s not gonna be any steering wheels to get behind. Comphrende. Cheers 🥂
Torque wrench not a torque screw, 10 mm allen (may be a socket type) but not 10mm socket - totally different tool... And you started with disconnecting the steering wheel AirBag but refused to disconnect the knee one saying you've never unplugged the airbag??? 🤷🏻♂🤣
Someone told me that in a few years Elon Musk wants to set Tesla's "default" drive mode as FSD with manual driving as an enabled option and only for emergency take overs, so maybe that's why they decided to remove the stalks on the new model3?
If I had a Highland, I’d get these too. Seems like a missed opportunity to have not added a little ring/ dial to control wiper speed like every other non-Tesla car.
The dial to adjust the wiper speed is on the steering wheel and you can easily reach it with your thumb. This is true from pre-highland versions as well.
What a level of incredible stupidity of Tesla talking that stuff out, it was after removal of ultrasonic parking sensors the most dumb act ever, both have cost them thousends and thousends of customers that won't come back, basically everybody in my vicinity canceled their orders and bought oder cars.
i like the stalkless design. i got used to it on my model s almost instantly after turning in my lease on my MYP. The buttons are more innovative than stocks imo.
No, in fact after 4 weeks I find a "normal" car much more frustrating to drive having to take my hand off the wheel to reach for the stalk. As they are now everything is at your thumbs without having to remove your hands from the wheel, much easier to drive.
Some people like stalks, or hate using turn signal while steering. It’s a preference thing so I get why it exists but if I had a highland I’d probably just keep it stock, just my opinion.
@@Stewie4238no. Stalks have been around since the model T for good reason. I like the minimalist ideas in the Tesla but the loss of the front dash board was annoying. The loss of the stalks was nonsensical. It made me buy the 2024 Y instead of waiting for the refresh. If stalks never come back it will be the one and only Tesla we get. The wife feels the same way. Elon needs to put more thought into to his current cars that are practical rather than ONLY dreaming of AI cars taking over the world. Better competition will hurt some of these ideas as EVs move from enthusiast (wanting drastic change for fun and kicks) to mainstream sales (where cars are wanted to get from A to B as cheaply as possible). I am starting to wonder if Elon is the right man for that job.
Why cant they solve some of this issue via the software? Surely if you have a navigation route set for your journey, can the car not be progremmed to automatically indicate left/right or when coming off or onto a roundabout? Automatically indicating via your selected route in my opinion, would remove the need to manually indicate, for the most part.
Nah, lots of times I override the satnav. Because human decisions can override machines. I don't want my car indicating when I don't want to take that route.
@@saltrosetopaz But if you input a route into the satnav, surely thats the route you're going to take? With a route selected, allow the software to naivigate/indicate as per route, however if you feel you need to reroute, just override the indication at that moment in time. I'm not say remove the ability to manually indicate, leave the buttons on the steering wheel, but allow the software to indicate when a route is selected.

The horn and flashing features you’re demonstrating, were specially designed for left-lane sticking Real Estate brokers in a rush on the German Autobahn.
Haha - what?
@@mmark300 Oh, I’m sorry. This of course also counts for Porsche and BMW drivers. It’s their subtle way of letting you know to bug off, from their lane. Before the only thing you’ll be able to see, are some headlights in your rear view mirror, shining brighter than the sun. But it’s a nice place to release all your tamed horses for a while there too,
I have to say. For me one of the selling points was no stalks. And I love not having stalks.
I really like the idea of no stalks, but in practice, the buttons just don't work well for me.
Glad you are not having an issue with them, though!
How many times do you have to look down?
Negan doing Tesla videos awesome!
Remove the stalks but do what Ferrari did with a left and right paddles for turning indicators.
Since these are technically a hack, I’m guessing it’s a software limitation
Why aren't the high beam functions working properly? When you push forwards on that stalk it should toggle lock high or low beams. Deal breaker for me.
It's aftermarket what do you expect? Just push the button on the wheel..?
@@PrincessNadora defeats the purpose of the installing the stalk huh?
@@kellywhite3633 ok , to each their own 😊, stalkless is way better can't wait to get it on MY
Same. Why go through the trouble of creating aftermarket stalks only to put STUPID functionality into the left stalk. Pushing the left should lock high beam (until it's toggled off) and pulling it should flash. Sounding the horn with a left stalk pull is just weird.
@@spacep0dmy guess is because the highland needs you to hold the steering wheel button for a second or two to toggle.
The very idea that you have to install them on your own because crazy Elon wanted to get rid of them is rediculous. If Tesla was smart, they'd offer an official service center stalk retrofit.
👏👏👏 Very good! 👍
I hate the push steering wheel button horn, high beams, and especially the turn signals on my MX.
Wow. Now I would actually consider buying a Tesla. Can you fit parking sensors as well, so that it would have the equipment of a cheap car?
I think the High beam flash may be to signal someone to go and maybe thats why it honks as well? IDK why you would need both though
I reckon at least once a week I hit the wrong effen button 😡
Will it work on Cybertruck?
Don't see anything for the cybertruck yet.
Next headup display or a dash speedo!
May have just been the camera view but it looks like the right stalk blocks your view of the screen a bit. I spend a lot of time watching shows in the car while my wife shops and that would def. be annoying. I assume it is more the larger screen then it is the stalks which may partly be why Tesla removed them.
No blockage of the screen from normal viewing angle
After having no stocks I can’t go back. It’s like a game controller in my hand the more I drive it. Freaking love it
Good to hear. For me it was a game controller that my kid ate his pancakes on - buttons just didn't work well
I’ll tell you what I miss, the sound of Canadian geese
Warranty?
So what folks don’t seem to get, is that Tesla has imagined a future where no one will be driving their cars, as all Tesla cars are going to be autonomous cars, and future production cars within a year or two will be shipped without steering wheels or pedals, because they’re not needed, because you’re not going to be driving a Tesla.
So you can drive those other guys cars, presumably, but no one will be driving a Tesla, because the car is the robot, it does not require humans behind the wheel because there’s not gonna be any steering wheels to get behind. Comphrende. Cheers 🥂
Why?
Negan, is that you?
Only on Halloween 🎃
congrats. When are you installing horses for the proper oldscool driving feature?
I don't get why tesla always has to fix things that don't need fixing? Stalks, yoke, horn, turn signals. Those things do not need to be changed.
I'll probably wait for the S3XY stalks. Their quality is known to be MUCH better.
Take my money 💰 😂
Not willing to re-map.
Crazy really. Tesla takes parts away on a luxury car. Consumers pay extra money to add them back.
Torque wrench not a torque screw, 10 mm allen (may be a socket type) but not 10mm socket - totally different tool... And you started with disconnecting the steering wheel AirBag but refused to disconnect the knee one saying you've never unplugged the airbag??? 🤷🏻♂🤣
Holy crap, I thought that was Nicholas Cage!
Dear Tesla, please make stalks again. Even if it is a 3000 dollar option. I want to support Tesla, but no stalks in a roundabout is a dealbreaker.
After 2 weeks of driving, you won't need the stalks anymore.
I just don’t see the point buying a car for 45k+ without stalks. They fucked up to safe money, I‘ll buy another car. as simple as that…
Thrilled with the no stalks in my 2023 Model X Plaid. That Hanshow kit looks terrible. Damn.
Why?😅

465 euros for this? They are crazy...
@IstvanDarabos Did you check with using 'TeslaMark' discount?
I prefer my tesla without stalks. Far neater
i like the stalkless design. i got used to it on my model s almost instantly after turning in my lease on my MYP. The buttons are more innovative than stocks imo.
The stalkless design is just made for FSD. Stalks are made for human drivers.
I don’t miss the stalks. Got used to the new controls the first 30 minutes of my ride home after delivery
Is it that hard to adapt?
No, in fact after 4 weeks I find a "normal" car much more frustrating to drive having to take my hand off the wheel to reach for the stalk. As they are now everything is at your thumbs without having to remove your hands from the wheel, much easier to drive.
Now I just need to add brake by wire to catch up to EV leaders
Why???
So you didn't watch the video?
@@mmark300 five minutes I have a 2023 Model X and came from a 2018 M3 it took me 15 minutes to be comfortable with no stalks
It solves a non-existing problem.
A non-existing problem that Tesla created...
Some people like stalks, or hate using turn signal while steering. It’s a preference thing so I get why it exists but if I had a highland I’d probably just keep it stock, just my opinion.
@@Dryyskull Tesla could have just used real buttons and not haptic touch ones and nobody would have said anything
Having your indicators on a surface that rotates as you steer your vehicle is special kinds of stupid.
I don't understand how on earth Tesla got that approved for a motor vehicle.
don´t understand Tesla for getting rid of the stalks... stupid move
Tesla Engineers are taking first principles a bit too far. This mod is too much for some
it’s not good idea😅
Too much complication to install
