they could have stood up and striked or kicked but most fights, in real life and in sport if possible, end up on the ground, and BJJ is arguably the most effective fighting style of all, which is what all the gracies were born to do

Sedangkan di US 90% background mereka grappling. Pencak silat pun tidak digunakan di UFC. Bahkan beberapa orang Indonesia pikir pencak silat itu real fight, yes they are real, but if you fight with striking like that you will only prolong the fights and it's no good for you. You want to take the guy down because that's what real fight is. Bahkan di USA sendiri Dari semenjak Bruce Lee masuk USA , sufsh ada Gene LeBelle the legendary Judoka who beat up Bruce Lee and Steven Seagull. Bruce himself said if you learn boxing and wrestling you'll survive any real fights. Look at what he said after boxing, it's wrestling so which means it could be Judo, Ssambo, BJJ, wrestling itself. That's what Indonesian people don't understand. They think their pencak silat is good. If pencak silat is that good why is there no fighter in UFC used it

Trash fight. Royce got destroyed when he finally came back for the Matt Hughes fight. He left the ufc because his family sold the business and was protecting him.
Yeah, but just remember, Royce was much older and the game evolved. If the Gracie’s wouldn’t have brought the UFC and BJJ to America, there would be no Matt Hughes the UFC champion. All UFC fighters and the organization owe a huge debt to the Gracies!

Humans are naturally better at wrestling, Royce was especially trained in BJJ, so it was better for him to stay on the ground.
