I personally believe the best days were in the 60s and 70s. But that's just my opinion. Could be just an age thing because I was born in 1967. But like you say "Didn't realize it", I wish I could have appreciated it more looking back, if I knew at the time that this was the best it's gonna be. Lol.
Well yea, the 80s too. But 60s, 70s were the best. Thank you @gidngord for these classics. You can't even find them on Classic Sports Network anymore. CSN is not so classic.

I remember 2 seasons later in 1980, the first game of the season, in Pittsburgh, the Steelers beat the Oilers 45-34 (If I'm not mistaken but pretty sure it was). It was a shootout after the Steelers took a 17-0 halftime lead. And then the 2nd time we played, on MNF, the Oilers won 6-0. Not 1 TD scored. Tony Fritch had 2 field goals. That was the only scoring. Completely the opposite from the 1st game. Anyway, we knocked the Steelers out of the playoffs with that game. So in a way, we DID kick the SOB in. "Looks like Bum Philips decided to kick the wrong door in" -Sam Rutigliano, Head Coach of the Browns, 1980. Because the Browns won the division and of course the Oilers got clobbered in the Wildcard by the Raiders who won the SB that year. 3rd year in a row we lost to the team that won the SB. At least we kicked the Steeler door in. Lol.

Or his son, Stu trying to kiss him after it happened. He was begging his Dad to take him to the Super Bowl and Hank originally said he’d be a distraction, but the next day he want to his school with his suitcase packed and said “You’re going!” and took him to the airport. He got the Chiefs to give him an extra side pass to him.
