Not a certified food inspector but I think it's against regulations to fertilize crops with your own poop and sell them
If mixing your own feces into dirt so your plants grow better is a crime then lock me up

My siblings were making the joke to our shits to plant our greens and fruits….
We were grossed out using our own. It’s okay to use others but not ours BLEH. Since we all consciously know that what we are and put it in our body.

Fantastic! Ive used my cats dung in my houseplants for years. They're all huge and super healthy. I bet your microgreens grow like crazy. I'm sure the mushrooms and microgreens sold in stores have been grown in human or animal waste as well. It's the future!
That's brilliant, Karen. It sure is. I've asked all my neighbours for their pet droppings but so far they're all greedily hoarding them. I did sneak into the house next doors back yard and poach a few strips of the good good pooch o'henry for a few tray of micro greens but I feel like if they caught me it would be weird so now i just use mine and my fiances.
Have you thought about just pooping into a compost bucket with sawdust? I wonder if that would be a little more pleasant to work with. I grow microgreens on a larger scale with a very small amount of chemical fertilizer, but I respect nature's fertilizers too.
That's a solid idea Wyatt! Compositing it first is a much smarter idea. That's what they do in Europe. It's only taboo in the US and Canada. Man, Mexico they do this all the time on most of the produce we get! It's free! Have an awesome day and happy growing!!
If you are using it for your own consumption that is your choice but when you are supplying to others you need to be able to ensure that NO pathogens and diseases can be passed on in the food you grow. Usually your waist has to be heat treated to a high temperature to kill anything present all possible to do at home. Other methods are anaerobic processes. If you are commercially growing you are opening yourself up to a massive law suit if someone fell ill and blamed your greens even if they were not to blame. You have left yourself wide open.
Yeah for sure man. I don't sell these to anyone else. Couldn't if I wanted to. The Microgreen boom has already happened where I live, the large professional corporate industrialized operations took it over last year, forced all the small scale 'farmers' out. There are thousands of dollars worth of growing supplies up for grabs on the local buy and sell sites on any given day. I grow for personal consumption. Works for me.

Does what you eat first matter? Like if I have meat lovers pizza and cookie dough ice cream the day before will my microgreens grow faster than if I have a kit Kat and boiled eggs with a croissant?

Microgreens is the dumbest idea.
I hear you. It's just clever marketing. "Sprouts" have been available for years but some slick business minded person re-branded them in a sexier way as microgreens, tripled the price and now they're in vogue. The mature plant is obviously more nutritious and filling but who wants to wait months to let it grow when you can just eat it the babies?
