Great video man, thanks for the guide. Personally I’ve been sort of let down by Apprentice Illusion Magician as of late. It is nice that it can sort of make running DMG less bad since you can run Norito and Ebon alongside it though. I typically run the Super Poly variant of DM for Master Duel where Dragoon is forbidden and I just don’t have the extra deck space as a result for that Ebon combo. I’ve found Piercing the Darkness at 1x (though sadly not searchable) is surprisingly handy. Unrelated but I sure do wish Eye of T. was searchable RIP :(

Interestingly iirc Norito the Moral Leader may very well be the only Spellcaster XYZ monster at level 6. At least that I know of. Can be handy with Secret Village that Big Eye (rank 7) and Norito are spellcasters. Appreciate the combo explanations.
@@LOZA-DM Side note, you know “Magikuriboh”? That guy can be very convenient for discarding whether for Super Poly, Apprentice IM, or even DMG Dragon Knight since it adds back to your hand. In a pinch it can also be fused for Starving Venom Dragon and eventually will add back to your hand. He’s too slow to be “optimal” probably but I love the little feller.

Back when Master Duel first came out, I used to play 1-2 Artifact Dagda alongside 3 copies of Moralltach in the main. It wasn't that good, since I rarely had a way to pop the Moralltach myself, but it guaranteed a pop at the end of the opponent's turn and was an extra body on the field to keep on link climbing.
Accesscode is definitely the go-to link 4 monster, but Avramax can be good too, especially if you can bring it out with I:P. Love BLS tho, feels right to play it with DM. Very nice video Loza! 👍
Imduk is amazing been using imduk combo forever and prior to and after losing anaconda I used protector whelp for rod and souls, as a link 2dragon play MasterDuel has anaconda still so that's still the best link two option great vid brother
What if u use artemis effect to draw a card with magicians souls effec, equip the syncro his a dragon, and u can use magicalize fusion to summond Dragoon or Dk the dragon knight, is not my best idea but it my do something
We need a deck Fusion spell Dm don’t have one just a quick play spell which is sad, maybe get a cheeky draw or set up dragoon with timias. Maybe a lvl 4 monster that has a tag out dark magician eff, special summon eff, and can recycle dark magician cards from banish and grave and 1 link and it’s top tier
If I have Souls in my hand with Soul Servant and Rod the duel is over lol I like to use the Bonds package with Mahad. So I would use Rod to get Bond, then use Magician Souls to special summon DM then activate Bond to get DMG and set Dark Burning Magic since its non targeting destruction and a Quick Play Spell. Set Soul Servant down and turn end. Now after the opponent made their move during the end phase, I use Soul Servant to asses the situation to get the card I need to win. Most of the time its Mahad lol. I stack him up then as soon as my draw occurs, I Special Summon him then banish Soul Servant to be able to draw 3 cards! By that time its a wrap with what I drew and whats on my field and can pop off from there.
@LOZA-DM yea Dark Magician has been my favorite monster since I 1st saw him in the "1st" Episode of the anime. Has been with me ever since and from what I know is that with DM you literally have to be like Yugi to think ahead and to be able to take the hits to know when to strike to reveal the true power to win the game. Other times it can be a dominant performance but it must be maintained with no mistakes. So far, with help from some dragon cards like Dragon Keeper of Magic, Mana Dragon Zirnitron, Red- Eyes, Timeaus, the Bystial engine, and even Branded, has been able to help Dark Magician in many ways throughout the past few years. So I wouldn't be surprised if we get that Link 1 Spellcaster we really need but maybe also get a Link 2 Dragon specifically like a Dark Magic Dragon of Chaos or something; that would be really cool
I also experimented with a Pendulum version of DM with Black Fang, Purple Poison, and a few Odd Eyes dragons to also do the same thing but hopefully a little bit faster. Get the fusions going and maybe some spicy synchro and XYZs too.
the main problem here is that every link 2 here is done via rod and souls, so 99% of the time its just not worth doing when you could also just go for the timaeus combo
@@LOZA-DM yeah. I’m a pretty loyal DM player and although I knew all the stuff you mentioned in this video, I thought you did an excellent job in showcasing and explaining all the different cards that can/have been used in DM. Keep it up.
What you said about Anaconda really made me think abut Duel Links and how they balance stuff like that using skills and just decks as a whole. Like, skills wont work unless you play a specific card in your deck, or you cant have certain cards in your deck if you have other cards in it for sake of balance. Too bad that can't work in real life. I don't think they would be able to make something like Anaconda that just says "You can't play this card in your deck unless you're playing a Dark Magician deck". One can dream though, it would be nice if they would find some way to restrict our best cards from being played in other decks since it seems every time we do get a good card, its more broken in other decks than it is in DM (I still think its dumb that Dragoon is banned in OCG).
I love this comparison! I agree that Duel Links Skills are actually really neat and could be implemented in the TCG to balance certain cards. Not quite sure how, but Konami should figured it out! hahaha
@@LOZA-DM Well, in the physical version of speed duels, there are skill cards that you can play 1 of per duel. They could probably put those in the tcg and somehow balance it, but i dont really see them doing that since i think they want to keep speed duels separate. It would solve so many problems with balancing if they did though.
Idk i just see your video and click you make the best dark magician content and i have learned alot from watching your videos i still run some cards you wouldnt approve of but i have a diffrent playstyle and play against family and friends but my deck has been made so much better thanks to you so keep up the good content and i will keep clicking on your videos instantly
My friend got me into it and i played casually for a long time then me and my friend got more competitive like my brother was and we went to locals with him and got destroyed i slowly got better but then i started watch lozas videos a long time ago and got way better to the point where i started winning and now my friends and brothers are having trouble keeping up with me i have been playing yugioh for 9 years now and competitive was always a little scary to get into at first but loza videos showed me some stradegies to actually compete and and not just lose turn one but as it is now days with dark magician you lose some and you win some but i always love trying new cards and stradegies with dark magician it has so manny engines you can play and i love switching them out to try new stradegies and making dark magician a more capable deck

With Salvation and DMG U're able to make link combos. That's why I play Accescode and Avramax. It work pretty good and makes Salvation little better.
Salvation can assist with linking! I normally sent it for draws or Timaeus effect though 😂
