At 5:01 when Mai was crying secretly while Jade was not looking, I also literally cried. They’re both hurting but acting like everything’s normal. Please communicate properly!
I also cried with Mai and his mom’s scene. At least he has a good support system when he needs it the most.
You say they both hurt. There is a difference, Jade is doing this to his himself over what; dating someone for one month in High school. He is an adult now.
Whereas Mai is hurt cause of Jade, cause he showed Jade how he is feeling, he confessed before that he showed him patience & affection and what he got is a rejection. So I'm with Mai. Jade feels hurt over how that boy made him feel when he told him to break up, but doesn't consider Mai's feelings after turning him down. Yet Mai is still being nice to him bringing him dessert & sandwiches.

The way King and Uea are trying to create the same situation and make Jade realise what's he doing wrong and really needs to know both the sides is literally so overwhelming, i love their friendship sm❤

That’s true but it also shows how one should compliment their partner before anyone else during the day … we normally do take these things for granted but it counts alot

Mai's mother being extra supportive is really heart-warming. Especially since she was the most shocked by Mai's coming out. It's good to see her cheering Mai up and not sap his efforts.

Mai, in some ways, reminds me of Kongpope.
He's always the one that's putting in work, he always says how he feels and puts others first, he is taken for granted and often misunderstood because hes friendly but he pays attention to his surroundings and to how they person he loves reacts.
Always noticing the little things and trying to make that person happy, getting hurt in the process because they care so much, but they dont really get anything back in return except rejection and misunderstandings.
King and Uea are having a situation so that Jade can understand that it works both ways. If you like someone or are even in a relationship, you have to remember to compliment your partner, communicate how you feel, and dont just say stuff but do it too.
Mai talk with his mom was wholesome and what he needed.

A problem some people uave is that they want a person to want them but want to make them wait and not everyone will wait forever . It is selfish to want a person around who treats you well, but you hurt them instead of testing the waters by diving into the unknown.
