I think that it can kind of be explained that each color has different strengths and weaknesses, and as a result, each is stronger than the others in some respect. Love and rage may be the strongest emotions, but their very strength is their weakness, and their rings often control their wielders and they cannot think clearly enough to use them to their full effect. Larfleeze may be the strongest single lantern of the 7 colors, but the fact that there is only one of him makes him vulnerable. Indigo and Blue lanterns are somewhat reliant on other corps for their powers, so while they're strong when interacting with other lanterns, they're likely weaker when dealing with something without another type of lantern nearby. You get the picture.

I read blackest night and brightest day; and just loved them. Over the years of research on my own and by viewing your videos there was always a question bothering me about the emotional spectrum of the lanterns. Where das sadness fit in? We have all the strong emotions in the spectrum and sadness can be a pretty strong emotion. While I understand that sadness itself often lead to different emotions like with dexxtar the red lantern cat or the deep grief in batman leading to him beeing closer to the yellow side of the spectrum than the green side -from what i know-. I especially enjoyed your content about the power of the blue lantern corp as its argumentation basis somewhat might be able to be used to the sad emotion. However a total lack of a "sad" spectrum in the lantern cosmos still remains unsatisfying to me. Indigo was always my favorite, because I myself am a very compassionate person. I am always seeking and advocating for redemption. That we as a species can be better, to each other.
Really enjoy your approach on every comic you cover. I just turned 40 and really never read comics, however I always followed the DC animated movies and series along with the MC Universe. Comics are a bit confusing to follow however I will sit here and really take in all that the comics and thier writers have to offer through your videos. I really enjoy the movement that is DC rebirth and all your coverage on the Captain America Secret Empire and every Hulk story that I never knew existed. Keep on doing your thing Rob and thanks for your intreptations of each comic you cover, it makes the stories enjoyable and the makes the anticipation of the bigger comic releases (looking at you Doomsday Clock) unbearable lol.
I’ve always been interested in the Indigo Lantern Corps. Probably the most unique of the 9 Lantern Corps. I think the concept of their creation and ranks is so cool. Instead of giving the worst criminals punishment they are in a way given redemption, to atone for their sins and give back to the universe. Also having Abin Sur discovering the Power Battery is awesome and I love that it also ties into his backstory and gives us more insight into his character. He really was the Qui-Gonn Jinn of the Green Lantern Corps and honestly he actually fits better as an Indigo Lantern because of what we learn in this origin story. He literally forgives the person who murdered his daughter, which would not only take an immense amount of mental willpower and strength to do but also showing an immense amount of Compassion towards that person
So the indigo lantern rings show the wearer what they did was wrong, if they are a criminal or murderer, thus giving them compassion thus allowing them to have a chance for redemption

GL is not a what i would think of as a frontman type hero, he's more bass or drums, the band is worse of without him. GL sort of fills the space faring role that the ultimates do in Marvel, just more interesting (IMO) .

However, i am confused by the logic of the indigo color channelling other colors. Also, why does it have to be parasitic? Yes some give and give like a mom would till the well runs dry, but parasitic in and of itself?
There should be sloth or apathy color so i can say "Hey thats totally my team, or whatever im going to bed" Are color would be grey...or shit brown whatever..

Both of those emotions are covered by Love. Without love, there is no grief or sorrow. Two sides of the same coin, if you will.
