Harry was NEVER the commander of an Apache helicopter in Afghanistan or anywhere else. He stayed in his private tent playing video games with security around the clock. He was not a pilot - couldn't pass the numerous tests he attempted. He swanned in at the weekend with camera crews and left at the end of the weekend. Ergo his nickname Weekender Harry. Also Bunker Harry and The Idiot. All of this from soldiers who were there with him. So no, he didn't serve valiantly. What an insult to real soldiers.

After the work to establish the organization was complete, H was entrusted to run it.

Harry did nothing special in Afghanistan he served about 20 weeks over 2 tours, where as every other soldier serves a minimum of 6 months per tour.
He was well protected and his being their jeopardised other soldiers lives as he was a prime target
He then wrote about his kill score in his stupid book, something that no military person ever does, they may discuss these things amongst themselves but never with anyone outside the military.
He disrespected the Queen and country with his and his wife's vile lies. The Queen at the time was the head of the armed forces, so he disrespected the head of the military services.

Michael Cole, please do some research before praising Prince Harry unjustifiably! First, H never became a pilot! He was too dense to pass the examinations on his three attempts. He manned the machine gun in the heliocopter. This fact made his acceptance of the "Legends of Aviation" award so farcical! Second, H's service can not be described as either gallant or valiant. Rather, according to witnesses, he played lots of video games in a bunker, refused to be drug tested, and was always under the care of security personnel. H was in Afghanistan, period. That's all. Stop describing H as a knight in shining armor. His family has allegedly been struggling with H's behavior as well as covering it up for him for years!

Harry was not a commander of any helicopter, he was unable to pass the pilot certification examinations, even after several attempts. As far as the Tillman award is concerned, Harry appears to be the polar opposite of what Pat Tillman was, and where Tillman sacrificed millions of dollars, and ultimately his life, to serve his country, Harry gave up serving his country to make millions of dollars, and his receiving this award, to me, is an absolute disgrace.
When the Invictus Games PR is all about Prince Harry (and his wife) and NOT about the veterans, they may need a new Patron.

Invictus started out as a great idea and a great organization. Sadly, it has become the harry and megan show, all focus on them and none on the Veterans. I think all the millions spent on 5-star hotels, private jets, wardrobe, etc. should all be paid back and used for the benefit of the Veterans. harry is a patron who takes instead of giving and that's the real shame of it all.
