    Thank you for producing such detailed video! The problem with QS freshies is we don't get the picture of why something should be done so, but u illustrate the pictures, eg the foundation spread & how it looks like when at the site. This makes me understand throughly. Thank you for making things clear and insight us from zero basics👍

    this was quite helpful, sir please what of taking off for level and compact, earthwork support, disposal of water, concrete in foundation footing, blockwork, filling of voids, laterite and sand filling, concrete bed, reinforcement, formwork and protection

    If I'm taking off for a mansion substructure....I'm I only going to use the measurements of the floor plan or both the ground and first floor plan

      Use only the measurement of the ground floor. That's where the substructure is located.

      @@qsacademy also another question....based on the spread space...is 450 mm really big enough space to work from...cuz there'll be workers using the space

      But, the minimum spread for 225mm (9 inches) work is 675mm

    Very nice explanations...But please with the top soil excavation, our lecturer taught us that the allowance(spread) is sometimes assumed but you calculated for yours so I was kind off confused there.. please which is the right thing
