This is from the show The Singer from China.only professional singers were invited.it lasted 14 weeks any time you see the loco in the top left it’s from the singer.Dimash took second place only because they didn’t think he would last that long on the show and it was against their rules for a foreigner to win. But Dimash won in the end because that show made him famous.
You cannot take your eyes off Dimash. He is captivating! I notice other reactors commenting in spots where they think there will be a break, but there is never a break with Dimash. Even the moments when he is not singing is part of the song. I enjoyed your reaction very much.

The China singing competition show spans 14 weeks with 1 episode per week so it wasn't a 1 episode thing and after Dimash competed in 2017 he was a guest for 1 episode in 2018 performing Lionel Richie's Hello and in 2019 performing a Queen medley with Super Vocal Boys. 🎶👱♀️👗👠👠💓

Dimash kills “Daybrek” with so much raw emotion. The backstory is of a young tourist couple and their little son involved in a cable car accident over the beautiful mountains of China. The couple perish but they hold the child up and he survives. With Dimash’s emotion, I swear you become that child. Epic!

Yes, you've seen the long haired guys before--The Singer runs for about 13 episodes every season and each competitor has to sing in each episode. The audience votes every show and the results are tallied up at the end of the series. Anyway, the group you commented on are members of the band "Lion" I think they came in third. And I love watching their expressions--they're amazed, but I think I can see a little "I have to try to beat this guy??" dismay in their faces.

You know you mentioned Dimash does a little something different each performance..when he was asked once if he would go into opera professionally, Dimash said he wanted to go on his own and try experimenting with his voice. WOW

This was the 3rd episode. He had heard Dimash sing "SOS" and "Opera 2" before. When Dimash lost his voice (Daybreak episode), he was very considerate of him.

This guy has a hell of a voice I read about him and he comes from a family of singers his mother is a Soprano and since he has been little he has been going to vocal., Music school etc, he mastered in university of music went to the highest there is has won everything you can win it's not a God given gift but a mastered talent he can go very high in notes one of the highest . Does everything beautyfully . His voice is unique and mastered ! Go read on him it's worth it !

Dimash has a new song out where he uses several techniques that are ones he hasn't shown us before. Check it out. "Golden" is the song.
Been a fan for a couple years now, not only watching his videos but also 100s of reactions & vocal coach analysis of his performances & I still get surprised by the difference things this man can do! The craziest thing is & something I've never heard ANY singer do before & that is he always changes his songs up. He has like 3 or 4 versions of SOS & all are slightly different. The same with all of his songs that he performs! You have lots of mainstream singers lip sync many times just so that they can get the same good crisp quality for every live performance, & yet Dimash's perfect pitch & out of this world vocal technique is so on point, that he knows he can sing the song perfectly each time, so instead he focuses on changing up his arrangements just to make each performance different & special!
@Tommy Marz, you're still new to him, but eventually you'll get through all of his performances, & I recommend that you also react or at the very least, listen to every different performances of the same song that he has on TH-cam. You'll be amazed that all of them are different & almost feel like a cover of his own performances. It's insane!
Also, there's this Turkish or Persian Musician/Vocal Coach/Reactor who also came across Dimash & went down his rabbit hole & then ended up going on a trip to Kazakhstan where a bunch of fan (Dears) from all over the world visited his family's music Theater or School & his father gave a tour & then his Vocal Coach did a presentation. Then out of nowhere, Dimash just walks in & says a few words, then they all hung out & went out to dinner & he literally drove with them in the same car, talking & singing together. I've literally never seen something like that. I live in Los Angeles, & you'll be lucky to get an acknowledgement or a quick selfie with some famous celebrity let alone get to interact & hang out & all go to dinner together with all the fans that were there (like 20-30 Dears).
He is just a super down to earth & humble guy & I think that's a huge reason why he has such passionate fans all over the world & of all ages!

This is from the Singer show which went on for 14 weeks so you will see many of the same people on it. Yes they are the band Lion who took 3rd place behind Dimash in 2017 when all the episodes were recorded. Unfortunately people think, this is all Dimash has done, he had to do covers the same as the other contestants. 4 years on he is a worldwide sensation and about to move to America to live for as long as he sees fit, he lived in China for almost 4 years. I hope he is careful as his culture is so, so different. I wish him only great things. Good reaction thank you 💖
As usual, loved your reaction, thank you. It might amuse you to go back and listen to a string of SOS performances. There are recordings from 2012 (age 17?!) forward to January 20th of this year... so 9 years of growth and change. Each one is different. There's a huge transition of skills as he builds - but just as impressively, he refuses to slot into a single way of doing it. Different ornamentation, different focus, different runs.... each time. The man is a real artist and he keeps his work alive by constantly testing and trying new things.

Dimash really is a master of the "anticipatory pause" and knows how to use silence to sing between the notes, so to speak. He does not waste anything; is never distracted. You've noticed he often waits to begin a song for a few seconds and you can almost hear the audience suck in its breath....waiting.
This Singer 2017 collection is a triumph for Dimash; virtually every song was arranged and executed with beauty and passion.
The long-haired guys are rock band Lion -- took third place behind Dimash's second in the overall competition. Jam, the guy on the right with the cap, has done performances with Dimash in the last couple of years. He always appears fully engaged when Dimash sings during Singer.

The "long hair" guy is a member of the band, Lion, and they competed in this show. Their lead singer is Jam Hsiao, a favorite of mine with a fascinating backstory. This was an "invitation only" competition, and Dimash was the first non-Chinese person to be invited to participate. Have you googled Dimash, by the way? Well worth it.

Tommy...I understand and agree with your comments about "always something different" with a Dimash performance. From what I know about him, I can theorize two reasons that happens. First, he has a pure and honest respect for the songs he sings whether it's an Igor Krutoy original or an iconic hit song like this one. He actually gives it all to honor Queen, Freddy Mercury, and the song. Secondly, Dimash considers himself to be an artist before a singer. His great vocal talents, highly developed vocal rechniques, and dynamic stage presence are his tools he uses to create his art. So, he will always try to put his stamp on a song in some way, and he doesn't put boundaries around himself with how he will musically do that.
