They should teach Eckhart Tolle works in school, because a lot of younger people are confused and miss led by their emotions
Right on point. I've been thinking the same thing for a long time. This consciousness and self awareness teaching is a must for our young ones learning to navigate their inexperienced lives through this treacherous road of life.
This type of teaching should be integrated in schools from pre-school until graduation ---- and even beyond.
Completely agree...the kids esp in their teens go through so much suffering..I wish every school all over the world took some time for mindfulness,meditation and becoming more self aware.

I have been following the teachings of Eckhart Tolle since 2013 after going through a shocking and painful divorce at 27 years-old, which shook "my world" and reality as I knew it. All of a sudden, I was alone in the US, without family and friends - I had very little emotional support and had to learn how to rebuild "my life" on my own. The loneliness and disorientation I felt were intense, Eckhart Tolle's teachings was all I had, so I leaned into it heavily, listening to it every day in my solitude and finding comfort in his voice and in the truth I sensed in his teachings. 9 years later, after a difficult journey of uncovering a lot of unconsciousness (the divorce was just the beginning) my life has transformed - I remarried a wonderful man who is kind, loving, patient and we practice spirituality and work on our unconsciousness together, I have started my dream and vision of becoming a spiritual wellbeing coach with a focus on Eckhart's teachings, and my dream of moving to Portugal is finally coming true. I don't want to focus on the "outer layer" only and don't want to give the impression that life is now perfect, we all know this is not the nature of reality. There is still unconsciousness, but more often than not I am aware of it shortly after, so I'm able to let go and not create suffering. I continue to practice presence since I know anything I experience in the world of form is temporary and will eventually dissolve - I want to be cautious not to develop strong attachments to the world of form after manifesting the life that I always wanted. I felt the truth in my bones in everything that Eckhart teaches, but to have put it to the test (how he says it himself), and to now experience and see the truth for myself has been transformational - it has deepened my presence and trust in it, and it is incredibly liberating to feel connected to source throughout normal daily life. Thank you, Eckhart.. I am infinitely and forever grateful for your teachings.

Too much to say ( even though our stories are different the struggle was similar) I get frustrated because I feel powerless when I can’t communicate and express my feelings. I am happy you found happiness. It is sad to see how much suffering that one human being can cause to another because of their ego and insecurities.

Ran into Eckhart at a grocery store in B.C. Got chance to thank him then help him put groceries into the trunk of his car. Most ordinary but powerful of circumstances. Being in his presence shifted my presence straight away! Love you, Eckhart. Deeply grateful for your teachings and helping me to remember.

I’ll never forget when I had my first panic attack almost nervous brake down at 18, for the first time I looked at myself in the mirror and asked myself who am I , where are these thoughts coming from, I’m definitely not initiating them, many years later after searching for answers and healing I could not believe that the ego was seperate to me. I still struggle to be conscious all the time but I’m still practicing. Thank you each eckhart.
That is a very powerful comment, Stella! It makes me realize how we are not taught who/what we truly are. Much of our suffering through adolescence is trying to figure out who we are and all we know and taught is to identify with our egos, instead of with our sacred conscious spirit. I think this is a critical point of where we lose ourselves. We lose ourselves before we even find ourselves. I hope to raise my future children knowing the wisdom that Eckhart teaches us.

Ditto that. I'm thinking the same thing: if it weren't for my past troubles that I overcame, I wouldn't be who I am today. And it seems many of us need to hit "rock bottom" before realization sets in and healing begins. Surrender is a part of it. "Let go and Let God" got me through some hard times.

Very wise man. I'm very empathetic. But I notice that people only come to me when they're in crisis. I pick up on their emotions whether I want to or not. And I'm surrounded by narcissist. How do I deal with toxic people that I love without reacting and find peace at the same time? How do I control my emotions and feelings in a healthy way?
I've been going through my spiritual awakening for over 5 years. I study manifestation, Reiki healing, and consciousness. I know the universal laws. I meditate and speak affirmations. I know the rules, but every time I get close to peace, I get attacked by the closest ppl to me. Everyone, even strangers come to me for help. I feel obligated to help them, because I feel what they feel. But I don't know how to even ask for help bc I'm so used to being the helper. I try to spread positively, but I attract toxic people who take advantage of me. How do I attract people on higher vibrations? I feel like I'm surrounded by ignorant people who are asleep. The more nice and positive I am, the more I get taken advantage of by my own family, finance, friends, ECT... Do I stay and continue to suffer to help them or do I walk away and find people more awakened and open minded like me? I feel like certain people in my life block my manifestations. What do I do?

Before i listen him i was in such a mental pain but after i heard from him that there is another self of me which is detached from all those suffering and a shift happened,it was like i was seperate from my body,but still i was able to feel a sense of self which is wider,like covers eveywhere and from now on i am always try to be with it,especially while listening him,i often listen him🙏💚🌹 So much appreciation,gratification for him🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💛🧡

I'm thankful for ET's teaching. A NEW EARTH allowed me to stop prescriptions for depression/anxiety/etc (I believed my thoughts were me and they were real). I'm lighter, more joyful and present. Accept the present moment and its circumstances. This is peace.

Very special indeed. Love that answer of why choosing to be happy. Choosing happiness then from that perspective stems from Compassion. At the end of one of Sadghuru’s talks he asked, “Would you rather be around a happy person or a miserable person? Of course, happy.” Then he said with his palms together high up to his forehead (begging people to hear and understand), “ Please please please…ALWAYS REMEMBER, everyone else wants that too.” But when moments of less desirable emotions arise, don’t judge and condemn yourself. I just make sure I have plenty of time alone to get things right. Peace and Love

Eckart doesn't help us escape our suffering. Instead, he helps us accept our suffering.
I love it so much when he laughs, I just watched someones collection of his humor. This lifts me right out of myself! For hours I am left with a gentle smile on my face and the love in my heart is too much to contain and it bursts out on everyone around me. I like the feeling .

It’s amazing when I get so depressed or upset at the state of the world and all the sudden, right in the midst of it, the algorithm throws an Eckhart video my way, the energy shifts immediately with the gentle reminder of the NOW moment. Spiritual synchronicity is the best thing ever!!

When I was growing up, people used to say if you are mediating and not "thinking" you were "spaced out" and far away. Now I finally realize that what they called "spaced out" is actually presence.

Me too! My report card said I was frequently "dans la lune"/ "in the moon" . I'd be staring out the window but not really thinking anything, just taking in the scenery in a fixed trance….

Not always. it also depends if some has develop trauma from childhood… it s called spiritual bypassing..
Me too, when I was young "freedom from mind" came naturally to me. I saw beauty and miracles all around me, I was smiitten with everything. As a consequence I had one label after another tacked on me. I was taught to feel poorly about myself. Finally, after years of self rejection I clued in, and have been working at being present ever since. Once again, people started treating me like I was a dead brain, but this time instead of feeling bad I just chuckle to myself and think I work very hard to be this spaced out. I don't bother trying to correct and educate anybody, I just let them be as uptight and judgmental as they are and go on my way.
If there is one message we should listen in a lifetime, this is it! 🙏🏻♥️ Even if we are not ready to understand the entirety of it.

In 2017 I had a skateboarding accident that left me massively concussed. I forgot who I was completely for about a day, and it took several months to completely regain my faculties; there are still many things I don't remember, and many others that I'm uncertain if I truly recall or just have 'reconstructed' a memory for. I experienced serious identity & existential crisis for a long time after, questioning why I had survived, who I was when I hadn't known my own name, who I 'was' now, who the 'who' was recognizing all of these thoughts...now, I can say it was the most important lesson & greatest blessing (aside from meeting my wife) of my existence thus far. I am a whole different person and so much more balanced and joyful in general, more than I have been since early childhood...still experiencing many dark nights, but learning to love my whole self and appreciate how exquisitely unique and perfect my journey is! So much love to you all, fellow seekers, it is your own journeys that are creating the collective light which calls like a beacon to the whole of conscious existence...blessed be!!

He was for me too. An Angel. Then I also discovered Ram Dass through Eckhart and now combine their work beautifully
At about 30 minutes mark, he talks about our response and reactions to our surroundings (people and events); this is still a huge challenge for me. Although I do not act out but deep within me I process the feelings, thoughts and emotions. Negative ones tend to hurt but I practice letting go. Spiritual journey is tough and Ionely.
Aww.. If you are really present, in the present of God, source, who loves you so much and very joyful. You don’t feel alone, even with others because of your closeness to God. Life here is more of a game, you can respect it, but not take it to seriously. We do learn though on a deeper level. Take care sweetheart♥️🙂🙏

When I try to pass on Eckhart's teaching to others, specifically the part about being reactive to other people's anger or negativity, I get angry remarks back, especially with the current BLM movement my FB friends are identified with, saying that Black people have suffered, and I have been so entitled all my life that I dont understand their fight. Of course I then tell them it's not about not taking action, but about what state of mind you're in when you do. Anger is weakness, there is no clarity there, like Eckhart said. But I get more criticisms back that spirituality will not fix the problem. So it becomes a situation where 10 people are against what I said. My ego wants to defend itself, because it is reacting in fear of the opposition. But thankfully, because this was on FB, I had the choice of being silent--and leave things be. But it can feel frustrating, at least my ego feels this, that it's an every day situation dealing with masses of unconscious people. So I go sit in the park in peace, and ask the universe 'why am I here?' And for some reason, I find more peace. Not answers, but just to let things be and be at peace. 🙏
Dennis Pena totally understand...compassion without wisdom is a rocky path ..and I understand the urge to defend and understand too that it is best to just observe that urge and keep silent, as you say..I too saw that defence on my part is attacked back ...doesn’t work ...wish them well and let go ...I try!

The suppressed anger of the African Americans boiled to the surface, with a lots of garbage too. It always happens when something suppressed very long time. It will balance out in time.
Black people are not angels and white people are not devils.
Racism is a very unconscious state of mind and not only white people racist. Same with many other minorities.
Democrats not devils and Republicans not devils or any of the not Angel's.
These are accepted beliefs which are very personal and changing (hopefully) as our consciousness evolving.
The very fact when we feel righteous shows the level of our unconsciousness .
I wouldn’t offer any advice on Facebook unless it was on a specific spiritual site. You are dealing with the absolute worse the ego has to offer. And some of these are supposed to be your friends? I just wouldn’t involve myself in egoic madness. You just have to understand that most people still look upon nonreaction and understanding as sentimental nonsense which serves no purpose.
I wouldn't use FB. All this is a ploy (all of this) to erase history (and trigger conflict) to build a foundation of inhumanity and the ability to dictate and create history in the far future for purposes of control, control the past you can change the causes for ominous purpose, control the future and justify the present.
Ignore it and don't take part, don't feed the flames either. There is a designed exacerbation of both sides, the best you can do is ignore, remain present, and follow the path. Great awakening will happen, but it does start with you, nobody else. We can create our own world.
If we follow our intuition, we will come together again.

oh, goodie! a fanatic posting a quote..a confused fanatic who has no PRACTICAL understanding of the principles Eckhart speaks about, no compassion..because even Eckhart is aware of pollution..he doesn't at all *deny* what's happening in the Amazon rain forest, for instance...and he doesn't *blame* anyone for conditions they are experiencing...the words in his books or from his talks, when read or heard, *out of context,* it can lead to an extreme lack of understanding...just smdh.

Everyone in prison would not be there if they received this information, over and over until it’s truly understood, and key points memorized. I watch him daily and retain a little here a little there. If I keep it up 5 years from now I hope my egoic mind will have all but dissolved, and my reactions will be from a place of true presence. No longer following the old narrative we tell ourselves about who we are based in our past. And no longer projecting myself into future situations…when I get to that future situation I will know what to do…no need to play things out in my head because I’m in the present and cannot do anything until that moment actually arrives.

A truely wise and spiritual teacher simply refers you to pray directly to God and seek answers there.
Being consciously aware and present is quite fulfilling.I started doing such a month ago.Where I live I can see the sky, quite a number of trees and birds.While I am driving, I stay focused by paying attention to the driving and taking note of people and buildings where possible.It is not easy at first but you have to train the mind.We are so accustomed to our minds wondering that we miss the little joys of
daily life.
I learned a wonderful presence practice for driving with through Eckhart years ago, maybe you’ll enjoy it too. It is the one where you ‘feel’ the space around you, the then the space you’re feeling gets bigger and bigger. So first it was my body. Then the car seat. Then the space within the car - that was the first test of the real practice! Like a physical version of listening to the space between words. Then once you ‘were’ the space inside the car, you leave and become the space outside and around the car, then the road, all the way to the universe !! It was AMAZING :)
When I sat down in order to make sunshine it immediately started to snow ❄️ 😃 I rejoiced. There is never more sunshine than in the reflections of snow! I love this universe. It is full of love and immediately responsive. Like a child 🥰

Tink eckhart is a wonderful teacher . Try Lorie Ladd too also here on u tube she is very gentle, non patronising with very down to earth teachings. She would tell you that we all are awakening whether we are aware of it or not& that it is perfectly fine whatever your experience of it is. 💚🙏🏻
