What materials are you using? 4x4 3/16 posts? 12x4 I beam for the trusses? What thickness too? And how far do you spread each post. Looks like 2x6 for the horizontal bracing? Thanks. Looking to build my garage soon
Yes sir, after the trusses are square/level/plumb we go ahead and finish the weld. When you are welding tall sidewalls the metal tends to want to favor the hot side. So we try and take as many precautions as possible. Sometimes we need temp bracing before welds can be finished. Most of the time we just need straps. 👍
Awesome video man!!! One question. On the ibeam where you are welding the c purlins for the sheetmetal, is there a small gap when installing the sheetmetal on top. Hopefully you understood the question. 😊
I see them removing slag all the time while welding, I guess if you weld 24/7 you start to get a feel for it. But to answer the question they do remove slag all the time

@@rebel_cash Robert on a 30’ wide build you can use 10” ibeam for your trusses and 4x4 3/16 thick for the columns. Hope this helps

Great video! What gauge steel post do you guys use? Im here in NM and it seems the go to is 14awg 4x4
We use 11 on the outsides because we do 3-4 uprights and 3/16 on everything else.

Any particular reason why your welders don’t remove the slag after every weld to inspect the weld

Since you put the roof purlin hangers on the sides not the top of the truse what do you connect the side wall sheets at the top to ?
The way we always do it is weld a base angle on the top flange of the end wall IBeams that’s where the top of your gable sheets will screw
