I built a similar shed. But I had the posts laying down bolted the trusses to them and swung them up as they had one bolt going through them as a pivot. Saved me climbing up to bolt the knee connection
Good job! Surprising what you can do with some “want to”.. I’ve been there on similar challenges yet managed to get some impressive projects done alone with some homemade rigging and a tractor. Scaffolding can be your best friend at times too. Thanks for sharing.. be extra careful working alone!
I'm using untreated rough cut 8x8s for my barn. There won't be any wood in the ground- it will sit on top of the monolithic slab. I will locate and drill the holes for the post bases, then assemble the frames on the ground. My tractor is one size smaller than yours, but I can pull the frames up using a gin-pole and rope. I will have a temporary brace on each side of the frame so it won't go over too far. Once it's up vertical I will bump it into place and bolt the bases to the concrete.
I SEE ONE REAL WEAKNESS,....I USED TO DO THE SAMEBUT MY TRUUSSES WEIGHED 600 LB. INSTEAD OF 60LB.! I PUT 3/8 CHAIN FOM THE HIGHEST POINT ON MY BUCKET...THERE ARE HOOKS ALREADY THER Then I put chain boomers on themto pull up the highest point of my boom,In my case a whopping 29 feet,and with these 3 points.,I had tremendous strenghth...other wise I would have ripped the bottom out of the bucket!
What kind of attachments did you use to put onto your tractor? I'm looking for some resources to built my 10ft height pole barn using my tractor too. TIA.
You should have run a few rows of latter boards around your posts to really tie them all together and firm up the structure before hanging the rafters. Just leave one end open to you can drive in with your tractor
Can we get a closer video of the steel bar mounted to the tractor? I am about to start nearly the same exact project, 30x40 pole barn, steel trusses, 20’ 6x6 posts, need to get them lifted up. Thank you

That was cool, I had thought about the some thing like that but didn't know how to get the rope back off. Now I do.

with a tractor that size you could have built a very large boom to make a portable crane and simplify a LOT of jobs !!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was just some scrap steel, U shaped, welded two tops so a fork would slide in.
Why did you want to build such a tall building?
