    Your review is so accurate, thanks. I completed 3 runs in mine. Biggest issue were blisters!! Im trying to resolve the issue. It could be socks or just my feet adpating to the shoes.

      Yeah I hope you’re able to suss out the problem. I’ve been using @Injinji socks but I know some people have aversions toe socks. But they’ve been great.

      @@ZaahirJappie well, for me it has never been a firm shoe, maybe because my previous shoe was an Asics Raiden 3 (cheapest model sold here in Brazil). However the midsole does soften a little after the first 50-100 Km. It doesn't completely change but it gets a little softer

    Bought my first pair of proper Adidas running shoes, the Adizero Adios 8, and found it was good for speed intervals as advertised, but was also surprisingly comfortable on the half marathon training run I did this morning! Wasn’t considering using it for racing but may end up choosing it over my ON Cloudboom Echos even

    Should I buy this adizero sl or supernova 2 x parley shoes ?

    • @timetorunchannel
      @timetorunchannel  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Although boost (found in the Supernova 2 X Parley) is really popular, it’s a fairly older midsole foam dating back to 2007. It’s used in a lot of their shoes and has a good amount of cred.
      However, Lightstrike and Lightstrike Pro are much more modern midsole foams, not to mention Lightstrike Pro is found in Adidas’ modern racing shoes.
      All that being said, I would still choose the SL over the Supernova 2 X Parley.
      Hope that helps!

    is this good for long distance run?

    • @timetorunchannel
      @timetorunchannel  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Maybe everyone once in a while. I’d say a good range for these is 10 or less miles. Even less than 15 miles is a hypothetically good range. Anything over 15 miles and I feel like you’re getting out of a true daily trainer category range-which means I feel like you could get better use out of a more maximal shoe. I hope that helps

  • @97Rueda

    Thanks a lot for this great review, would you recommend this over the Brooks Glycerin 20 for a slow heavy runner? Thanks!

    • @timetorunchannel
      @timetorunchannel  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely-these would work great! They comfortable, stable, and have a good ability to pick up paces if you want to. Otherwise great as a daily trainer.
      I would pick the Brooks Ghost Max’s over the Glycerins personally because of the difference in the drop. And the rocker geometry in the ghost max is much better and conducive to helping you through your strides.

    Nice review, although I think the Novablast is a way more comfortable shoe. The SL (IMHO) feels like I'm running on wood.

    • @MrSeedi76
      @MrSeedi76 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So much boils down to a) personal preference or b) anatomy. I tried the Novablast 3 and didn't like it at all because it felt like my feet were too wide for the midsole cushioning. Felt like I'm slipping off at the side.
      The Adizero SL works perfectly for me. And I like the firm cushioning because I'm a heavier runner and a foam that's too soft doesn't work for me. It's a good thing we have all those great shoes to choose from. My favourites right now are: Adidas Ultraboost 22, Adizero SL and Brooks Ghost Max (almost a bit too high stack however).

    • @ABucc
      @ABucc 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @MrSeedi76 the Adidas SL 2 should be coming out soon. That is going to have full-length Lightstrike Pro midsole. Can't wait to try that.

    • @timetorunchannel
      @timetorunchannel  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The ADIZERO SL will be closer to what you currently have currently.
      So if you want more-of-the-same, with some nice updates then the SL would be a good choice.
      However, the Boston 12 goes fully in the direction of Marathon both for the training block as well as the race itself. It’s got energy rods, so significant for propulsion. It has a more aggressive setup as well, compared to the ADIZERO SL. It’ll be great in any race for that matter.
      So if you’ve been wanting a racing shoe but have been apprehensive until now this could be a really good time to consider it. Hope that helps!

    Novablast killer i doubt , mine have 1210 miles on them and still great( thats my mark 1s). But i do want a pair of these because the only way to find out if a shoe is for you is to buy a pair and run a few hundred miles in them. I have novablasts 1 2 and 3 all have over 600 miles on them , they last incredibly well and have NO break in period. Also Adidas pro 3s are amazing but i only have 210 miles mine ( and a new set for when theyre shagged 😂) . Happy running everyone 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

      I’m a big fan of version 4 of the Novablast. But when I reviewed this shoe I only had v3 so it’s more of a criticism of v3. V3 was, in my opinion, much too comfortable, to a fault making it too squishy, almost feeling dead. V4 is a significant improvement.
