- The best hair waver from Amazon and Sephora. I tested out the Alure and Amika 3 barrel wavers to see if price makes a difference and I was really shocked by what happened.

I miss my waver so much! It was a bed head one but it finally died after having it for like 10 yrs.
I highly recommend the bed head waver! It’s less bulky and only $25! I’m usually horrible at doing anything fun with my hair and that waver is so easy to use and has great results
It's a pity the Alure one broke down after the first use, i liked the finnished look much more, but i think it's the barrel size what i prefer. Ily ❤

Omg yes I used to have that huge clunky revlon waver in hs and I really loved it but one day I tried to use it and it wouldn’t even turn on. I recently bought a conair one at Walmart that’s a lot smaller more compatible to the bed head on and I really love it. I’m glad the wavers are back in style lol.
Send that Allure one back for a replacement.

The allure side was done with the wand upside down...no lift at the root. I think at 350 you could leave it on longer.

Loved this! I actually use the Revlon one and have for about 5 years now. I use it about once every other week. When I use a normal curling iron my curls never stay. I have stick straight hair really long hair and it never last. But with the 3 prong iron it last 2 days. I will agree that it's a little weird to hold and extremely heavy! But just in case anyone was wondering, it's a little cheaper than the one for $120 and DOES turn on 😂 but I think when this one dies I might have to upgrade 😁😁😁
I just saw a pic where someone had completely burned their hair off on and iron and it’s because it malfunctioned and over heated. They didn’t have it on long either. It was the first thing I thought of when you said the allure one didn’t heat up but said it did. What if it malfunctions and goes the other way as in too hot. Just be careful.

I have a very thin hair and was always dreaming about give it more volume and finally I discovered a babyliss waver but a bit different type then @leighannsays is using (have a video on my channel about it)

I have the cheap pink one. I love it! It's my favorite waver!!! Never had a problem.
I've only seen the Bedhead waver, I never knew there were others. I've been so tempted to get one and you just reignited the desire! The waves just look so pretty!

For $120 it needs to wave my hair and give me a foot massage, while I chill and scroll through Instagram. Just my opinion though....💆🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Btw, I have a BedHead waver, and it really sucks. It barely even makes a wave at all, but still manages to burn your hair.

I've experienced that with another BedHead tool I've used! I'll never buy from them again.
Sooo I kinda want to know allure’s response to this. I want one of these wavers so bad! But I can’t spend $120 on it. I was so rooting for the allure one!
kberni I’ve had one from bed head for years and just turned it on and it still works. I’m not sure if it works as well as the allure, but it turned on after about three years of no use 😂
I have the Allure one from Amazon and I've used it a handful of times with no issues. I bought it because Desi Perkins was recommending it, and the reviews on Amazon are pretty great too. I think her experience was just that the one she got was faulty.

I got one from Wal-Mart like 6 years ago. I use it all the time. Works perfect. I'm SURE it was under 40. I would never pay over $100 for one. But that's just me lol

I have a waver from the product junkie called, babe waves & it looks just like the alure waver. It cost a lot more & does the same thing as your alure waver. I have to have it on the highest setting for it to even get hot at all & I also have to unplug it & turn it back on several times before it will heat up.
I like the allure side better. And welcome to the world of curly hair "I think this is about as tame as I am going to get it." 😂😂😂
The allure side looks crimpier. I prefer the other, looks more beach wavy

This is the 3rd video I've watched for reviews regarding the Amazon Allure Crimper that had an electrical shortage. The tool would not heat up on the second use! Terrible, thank you so much for such a real review, it was so helpful.

I have the same allure waver & it stops heating up half the time for me too. I find turning on & off a few times works but it’s really annoying 😐

I have been considering dreadlocks for over year now hair grown out.
Love your hair all wavy, that sucks that the allure one stopped working. Target has one that's from the brand bed head (I believe that's the brand) it was almost 40 but I really like it. Its a bit different though because its a deep waver but the results are pretty much the same
They may be about the same looks wise, but less expensive heat tools tend to damage and create split ends. At least for me that’s what I noticed
What's important is the material of the barrel, is it ceramic, etc. so it doesn't damage the hair. Also, I thought the Amika was super heavy... Did you not find that? I didn't end up buying just for that reason, but now I'm second guessing.
I love when I crimp/wave my hair on my 3 day dirty hair and then pull it in a bun and sleep in it and then the next day it’s perfect!
My waver is super tiny annnnd now I feel like I need a bigger one.
Leighann we are hair twins. If I want wavey hair I just braid my hair while it damp and sleep. Hey it's free and easy for me. And my hair hates heat tools. Love this style of video.
for some reason when I try that it always comes out looking terrible. it might be because my hair is really fine.
It’s so funny how we want what we can’t have. I have super curly hair. To get this look I just wash mine and let it air dry. BUT, I would do anything for straight hair!

i burned my face about 4 years ago and it took forever to heal, it scabbed and it scarred ☹️ i am terrified of owning another one of those 😭 i have to use my flat iron if i want this look!

Possibly it's a safety feature that the iron wouldn't heat up again until it was unplugged, same as a clothes iron?
I think the Allure side looked a lot better, actually! Way more natural. A shame bout the heating issues!
I used to have one of these, I feel like I need to buy one again. I actually prefer the look of the waves from the cheaper version, just a bummer it broke so fast.

I did my research as well recently and decided to buy a Babyliss pro hi-def 3d waves, its a bit different but not makes really cool beach waves, definitely worth the price for me (I even did a video on my channel about it)

Mine took my 11 min for the first time, but the waver is a bit different type, nevertheless I love the beach waves result it gives (have a video about it on my channel)

That's such a shame! I preferred the waves from the pink one!
Could it be that it turned of when held upside down? For safety? Because I think, whichever side is downwards is the one that goes against your head and is not heated, the upper side is, and so, if you flip it, you might burn you scalp? Just a guess, I might be wrong. Really trying to save the Allures reputation because I initially liked the Allure side better, and it's price.

I like the Amica side better, it's shiny and no frizz. $90.00 better? No! I have been waiting for you to do this video, thank you. Isn't the Beach Waver $19.99 on Amazon? I'm dying to buy one. Carli Bybel braids damp hair at night and quickly uses the Beach Waver the next day, no frizz, looks great! At the end she uses a small amount of Moroccan Oil to amp up the shine. Guess what I'm doing tomorrow?

You have a bum one. I have the same one from Amazon. Its been working fine for about 4 months. And sit back for another. I use it flipped over too it gives me more volume at my roots.
