I have the bed head a wave we go hair styler and I love it. The middle barrel is adjustable, so you can get tight or loose waves. And it's affordable. I've had mine for a couple of years with no problems.
I have never tried a hair waver so I am very interesting for trying this new product. My personal favorite is the Amika Waver because it had a cleaner, slicker, prettier look on both of you girls. Just my thoughts! Love you girls!!
You two should try the “wave formers”. My hair will not hold any wave or curl done with heat. But, if I sleep in the wave formers, I’ve got that wave until I wash my hair! Love them!

Yeah braiding is good too or I have a 27 dollar curling wand and usually a day or two after curling I end up with nice waves or if I brush the curls out it turns into a nice wave, a bit more old hollywood than beach but it's a nice look.

I used to do that exact same wave but with the straightener for years. Just turning the straightener half a turn while moving it down the hair. Super easy and I haven't seen any youtuber do it that way.
I bought that amazon one and my hair had stayed in the wave for a week and barely fell. It definitely does take a little while to get thru all my hair bc I have to hold it for like 10-12 seconds but it works 😊😊
I have a Bed Head waver from 2011-ish with skinny barrels but the center barrel can be spun to choose between tighter or looser waves. So it’s like having a skinny barrelled and a thick barrelled. The plate portion is on top (& has temp ctrl). I style it with it on top and pull my hair up from my head to allow the root to also be rounded up/away from the scalp (still avoiding a kink from the plate). I have fine flat hair (& not much damage) so keeping the plate top-side helps with root volume a tiny bit. But I may try doing the top my way but some sections under to help keep more length.
For everyone saying you can achieve that style with braids...when you use a heated tool the heat bonds the hair and is going to hold the shape much longer. And some people have very layered hair and can’t hold a French braid overnight
Amika has a larger size now (High Tide Deep Waver Jumbo) with a 1.25-inch barrel. So I think it's the same size as the Bondi one. Thinking about buying it!

I would love to see you do this not knowing which brand is which and which is cheaper etc. I know it's not easy to do and have no idea how you would but I think it would be interesting because sometimes there's always going to be some bias. I'm using the Bed Head A-Wave-We-Go Adjustable Waver for Multiple Styles that I bought on amazon and you can adjust the middle barrel. I am still learning to use it but it'd be cool if you tried it and gave some tips :)
Hair I know nothing about but nails I do :D If you're going to apply gel over regular polish you will need to let the polish dry for at least 24 hours first, otherwise it won't be properly dry and the gel will prevent the solvents from evaporating. You may also need to gently buff the shine from the polish before you apply the gel otherwise it may not stick. If your nails are sticky it could be uncured gel- remove that immediately, as it can cause severe contact dermatitis which will result in a permanent allergy to gel and acrylic!
I have the Bondi boost iron and I love it. On my own hair, I braid it the night before and do sections with the iron. If I’m doing someone else hair I’ll do all the hair using the iron
I have an old one of these that is by revlon that still works and I love it! It is the larger barrels which I prefer. Too bad it is not mad anymore (I have this thing for like 10 years) but I saw some on eBay for around the same price and the cheap pink one!

I definitely prefer the Bed Head Waver, it’s so much easier to use. I started out with the 3 barrel and struggled and then found the waver and now it’s all I use
I had a foxybae convertible wand that did that same thing (said it was heating up but remained cold to the touch) after about 3 or 4 uses.... so frustrating, and a big waste of $. When I get too tight a curl, I flip my hair upside down and use a blow dryer and it calms them down to nice waves.

The Bondi one gets super heavy after a while, my hair is fine and shoulder length and even when hairspraying I only get 1-2 hours of hold from it. I wish so much that Amika shipped to Australia
The best way to crimp in sections is from the bottom up and pull down layers as you go. I see you girls make a section then crimp the top layer of that section...gets too messy and to hard to figure out. Also when you go from lowest strands to upper strands it adds more volume to your hair. so part your hair... let a section down then clip up the top part of that section take the bottom of that section and crimp it. Ive been waving my hair for years trust me. I almost want to make a video ive never made a TH-cam video in my life but I know the ins and outs I almost want to try to film.

I've been using the same Revlon waver since high school 10 years ago and mine has never failed me. One tip I have for shorter hair like Kayley's is to do the top portion of your hair toward your face so when you put it back to the sides the waves are more 'S' shaped than bubbled and the waves are exactly the same on both sides. I love doing mine this way, and I get compliments on it all the time. It's really fast for me because I do it so often-maybe 10/15 minutes tops.
I know this is kinda random, but with the social distancing and all, I know y'all do a bachelor thing once a week, idk if it is still running, but you could do a zoom, like Skype but more reliable, conference and still keep social distance and a tradition.

I already have one! A small Revlon one I bought a few years ago. Performs pretty well, IMO. (I also had a larger Revlon one but it was a struggle to use.)
I try not to be preachy and accept that everyone sets different priorities in their life. But just in case someone has not thought of this, here's my two cents: buying something, especially an electronic device, for only a couple of uses, just to follow a trend, is harmful in so many ways. 1) it produces waste 2) it supports cheap and fast production cycles, and the reduction of cost often means the reduction of human rights 3) when you only follow trends, you won't know what YOU truly like. This is true of all consumer goods (we all know the term "fast fashion") but fast electronics are actually even worse because "gettind rid" of them is hardly possible in a sustainable way. Electronic parts (especially batteries) need precious metals that are often produced under slavery and child labour. They are very hard to recycle and since it's more expensive than having a child digging in mercury-spoiled water flooding a mine, manufacturers don't do it. So instead, they are brought to landfill where water and winds distribute these poisonous substances in the groundwater and overall environment, or they are incinerated, producing very dangerous fumes that are hopefully being filtered out before being blasted into the air. Maybe this time of social distancing is a time where we can all reevaluate our way of life and try to find ways to be a better human. I'm def not saying that you should never buy something cheap for the trend, but maybe this will make you think twice before your next purchase. 😊

My tip with wavers is you use it “upside down “ with the clip in the bottom. You get less creases

Which bondi boost size is this? 25mm or 32mm?
Can you show the difference between the regular and mini please? Mini is 25 mm, Amika is 18.5mm and OG Bobdi is 32mm
