I’ve owned this for over a month, and the only disappointing thing is the Bluetooth feature does not connect to any Bluetooth headphones, which seems ridiculous in this day and age. It could have done with a Wi-Fi antenna too to ensure that the operating system, which is much better than the previous one, has the ability to download updates and improve the overall reliability and operability of this handset. S30+ is exactly as the producer of this video say it is, quick and easier to text.

It's been 2 days since I got mine. I can say that aesthetically it's so good though buttons are really big (it's really for seniors). I have some few comments on its softwares. Message folder don't have segregation on Inbox, Outbox and Draft. It has only "Conversation" mode. Time, which is one of the essential feature of a phone, are only found in Home, it is not shown in the upper corner of the screen. It's very inconvenient to go "Home" just to check the time (when Nokia can actually put mini digi time on the upper corner since it is very spacious). I thought i was really upgrading my basic phone (I was Samsung B350e user). They only upgrade they (Nokia) give is their 4G tech and wireless FM radio. I hope they update the software sooner or else I have to buy another one. i give them like 6/10.

Recently got this phone for myself for just the battery backup and 4G VoLTE, although I'm not the tageted customer 😂. Anyway here's my take on this phone
    Pros: 1. awesome battery backup
    2. Big display
    3. Big keypad
    4. Good speaker quality (both loudspeaker and earpiece)
    5. Excellent network reception
Cons. 1. Bad display quality like it's came from early 2000s
    2. Should have given Wi-Fi
    3. Dated S30+ UI (again straight from early 2000s)
    4. Still MicroUSB.
    5. Still 0.3MP camera HMD could have provided with 2MP atleast
    5. The flash/torch is worthless.
    6. The browser is from 2010 most websites won't work.

HEY NOKIA! WE NEED SMARTPHONES WITHOUT ANDROID AND SOCIAL MEDIA !
I still hope that Nokia will monetize and develop its Symbian system and provide it with powerful and essential applications such as maps and instant messaging. I also still wish Nokia would improve the quality of its cameras. Nokia already has excellent cameras on its Android phones, but the competition in the Android market is fierce.. I think that Nokia has a great opportunity to create a new market for consumers who want to use “hybrid” phones, i.e. a mix between smartphones and traditional Symbian phones . I think there are many, including myself, who want to have powerful and smart phones but without the ability to install social media apps so that they can get away from these apps now and then without giving up other useful apps like maps and advanced camera.

This phone was expected to be better or predecessor to Nokia 2720. But it is far behind. Few features like VoIP calling through WhatsApp, Wifi hotspot, GPS (maps), email sync is a must in even a feature phone. Being 4G means an OK enough browser would be available.

Let me be really honest to those who find feature phones funny or lame. We get it that such feature phones doesn't suit many individuals like hardcore smartphone users because many are so used to smartphone but is it worth it spending alot of money for buying a new smartphone were it's performance gets affected due to so many apps and the battery for smart phones get eaten up due to smartphone OS, apps, 4g, phonecalls and web browsing on a smartphone. Nowadays I'm using my smartphone only for emails, maps if required and important contacts while the older feature phone I using it only phone calls and SMS. Therefore don't judge just by looking at a feature phone, a feature phones has lots of advantages.

    • @robtyman4281
      @robtyman4281 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

These phones are aimed at the older market anyway. Not me, but people over 70 who haven't managed to get to grips with smartphones; or for those who don't want to (yes, there are lots of people from that generation who refuse to use a smartphone).
Phone manufacturers have realised this, and instead of pushing smartphones on them, have brought out 'retro' flip phones from the 00's back again to cater for them and their needs.
The Boomer generation for whom these retro flip phones are aimed at are a very stubborn generation! But smartphones frighten them, they find all the swiping and ability to quickly change screens confusing, and many don't trust them. This is also the generation that mainly avoid using online banking....as again, they don't trust it.
So for any twenty-something complaining that these phones are 'rubbish' or old school - they're not aimed at you, but those who are 70+.
