I am happy to share my hobby. I am just a normal guy spending my own money on this hobby and I really want to give as much information that I can to help others before they start spending their hard earned money on something, because this is definitely not a cheap hobby. And she really is a beaut. She also runs fantastic. Thanks for watching and subscribing. I try to post as often as possible, but getting ready for the holidays is putting me slightly behind on working on my hobbies. Thanks again.
@@RoadsAndRailsHobbies Thank you for all that you do for the hobby community. We appreciate it. There are no deadlines on videos when you are making them for the “fun of it” and for others to enjoy. Happy Holidays!
Nice. I love my Polar Express, but man do they have a ton of add on accessories for that set. I try to add to it every year but its so hard to decide on what to buy for it, cause you know I want it all. Ha. Have a Merry Christmas.
Well svlnj I appreciate the request, however the Polar Express and my other O scale trains only come out at Christmas. As a matter of fact they didn't even come out this year. So it's gonna be a long while before I am able to make a video like that. There are many videos out there about the Polar Express train set at. So you can watch them until the best one comes out. LOL. Thanks for commenting.
Well not everyone is going to like everything. Just keep a couple of things in mind. It's purely personal whether someone likes the F unit body style or not. Many people do, and many don't. Also this is Lionels Lionchief train set, which are their entry level trains. It most definitely is not true to scale or have the level of detail and finish that one of their legacy engines would have. It is more of a toy engine than a true scale model engine, but that also comes with a significantly lower price point. Thanks for watching, and thanks for commenting.
@@myrtistaylor5759 The Fts were also sold by GM EMD as an A + B permanently coupled pair in 1938 onward, but after WW2, when they came in for maintenance, they were upgraded to F3 with operating couplers and improved superchargers to boost them from 1250hp to 1500hp. In 1953 when EMD developed the 2000hp F7, F3s were upgraded to F7s.
the intro sounds like the acoustic version of Quiet Riot: Cum on feel the noise lol!
The display looks as good as a lionel vision line locomotive and probably half the cost. Great job
Hey thank you. I really appreciate that
Very nice train set. Getting it out of the packaging is always tough. It’s a beauty. Thank you for sharing.

Whats difference between the 157 and 159?
The headlight on the observation car was used only for backing into Chicago's Union Station at night.
Wow. I never knew that. I simply thought it was just a red marker light. Thank you for the information.
Nice I just got the Polar Express for my niece and nephew (and their uncle lol) Also bought a track package off ebay for around the tree.

❤❤❤❤❤ I love it!!!
The one thing I have a question on is it hard to couple the trains together ?
Nope they are super easy to couple. You can even stage a car with open couples and back the train into it and it will couple that way also.
Pretty neat, Have a Great Christmas.
Thanks Bryon. You have a Merry Christmas also.
Love the tunnel idea
Thank you. I love easy ideas. Especially during the holidays They're busy enough on their own. LOL.
Great unboxing and review of a beautiful set. 👍 I subbed.
Thank you very much for the comment. I'm still new to making videos for TH-cam and appreciate the feedback.
Great video as are your others. Would love to see the Polar Express running!

@@RoadsAndRailsHobbies that is an "FT" unit unlike it's f3 or f7 counterparts it has this square vent on top that makes it look strange.
@@myrtistaylor5759 Thanks for mentioning that. You most definitely know more about F units than I do.

@@myrtistaylor5759 My error. The F7s were 1750hp. Years later EMD developed the F9 with 2000hp for commuter service.
