Thank you Sean for taking me with you on your wonderful jaunt today. For a lonely lady who doesn’t get out very far, it was a real treat! I tell you, I was there, and I lived it!
No more furniture at the moment till you get the shed sorted insulated etc, hearing what you said when you greet visitors reminded me of an old Scottish uncle who would always say "come for a visit, you'll have had your tea"
Good morning Sean, what a pleasure to walk the mountains to hear the water falls, Water has memory and keeps flowing over rocks and down through gullies, time and time again just as often as we walk in footsteps left by our ancestors. To see all this moves something inside of us, a memory triggered, an awakening of another time, yet still the streams run into rivers down hillsides cascading into a valley just as your own ancestors stood amongst the greenery in awe of Mother Earth. Great to see and feel. 🤗👏
Superb vid Sean!!! Aaaah, one of my locals! Well, well, I cycled up there yesterday, and sat outside The Angel with a drink. What a charming pub and that walk is a real corker. Just watch the kiddies and dogs as there's some vertical drop offs along the first leg of the river walk.
Awesome update 👍👍. Pontneathfechan falls is one of my favourite places to walk the dogs. Opposite the Angel is the waterfall information centre and for a quid you can have a map of all the waterfalls showing all the different footpaths and routes, telling you how long each will take and what degree of difficulty each is and so on Best wishes Steve
Thank you so much for this incredible walk. I felt as if I was right there. This week I start injections in my knee. Hopefully it helps me to be able to use it and continue my hip rehab. 3 months has been a long time. Being mostly immobile has made me appreciate the little things even more. Your channel is so relaxing and informative. I really enjoy the simple life you are making for yourself. I hope you are making the life you desire.
Sean, there is another amazing walk that starts at the old Bryn Henllys Bridge, Cwmllynfell (on the River Twrch). You take the footpath to the East side of the River for approx 3 miles, and you will come out at the old Lime Works near Brynamman, where the woodland just falls away behind you. Right at the base of the Black Mountains, Nr Brynamman. It is a Valley ravine in effect, where the water in the River is gin clear, and you will also pass under mature oak canopies for a proportion of this trek. Believe me, It is truly enchanting. Best tackled when the bluebells are in bloom. There will be a bluebell carpet along both sides of the path. Thought I would let you know of this little gem.
Sean you made my day I grew up in the valley I spent hundreds of hours playing and fooling about up in the waterfalls I used to live directly opposite the White horse pub what a special time in me my mum and my brothers life I'm 47 now and remember all of it
This video really brings back memories. Back in 1972, I was on a geography course at the CoE in Caerdydd. We had a few trips out to look at various things including Cwm Sgwd Gwladus, Porth-yr-ogof, and Bwa maen (think that's how to spell it), We also visited the silica mine and those marks in the stones would, indeed, be connected with the tramway that took the loaded wagons away from the mine. We discovered the incline where they were lowered down, although it must be much changed now. And afterwards a welcoming piunt at the Angel in Pont Nedd Fechan!! Brains I think it was. For bringing back a happy memory, diolch yn fawr!!
Thank you for taking me with you on your walk around the mountain’s and water falls, lovely, took me back to when I was I child , went to Dolgellau water falls with my mum and dad, many times, had a caravan in Tywyn snowdonia they were my memories of lovely holidays, I have been back to visit pay my respects, took my children there when they were young, always holiday in wales enjoy your time take care
Must be bittersweet visiting your childhood haunts and thinking of family no longer here. We always went to Bridlington on the east coast for out hols, last week in July, first week in August, pit weeks, we always went to Sewerby Park with its gardens and little zoo. Its more or less the same now and its near enough to go on a day trip. Happy memories of time past and there's a cafe where you can get a nice cup of tea 😊
I live near Brid, and went to school there for six years. Yes, Sewerby is lovely. The beach at Brid has lovely. firm sand. My Grandma went to Brid for a week every summer. I could never understand the attraction, especially after being at school there. One year, she bought herself a gold watch, which I wear on a daily basis.
I enjoyed your walk ,listening to the water. So relaxing ,about your saying at the end of your videos. About hello how long are you staying. I used to hear it alot when I visited Wales.😊
Thank you for the nature walk. You are surrounded by natural beauty. Your video reminded me when I was young and my family loved to walk in the forest and enjoy the rivers and waterfalls. Thank you for the happy memories and for sharing Wales. I visited Wales years back around Portmeirion. We did take the little steam train up into the mountains and enjoyed the scenery .
Seven sisters, a stones throw from here. I used to drink the milk from the bucket whilst it was still warm as a child, loved it 😍 will have to order some milk and butter. Thank you
This is a lovely video. It's great to see you exploring and showing beautiful Wales to your viewers. Nice to have a pub to go and sit down in after a trek.
Gee Sean your walk reminds me how very similar where I live in Tasmania is to your area in Wales, we too have waterfalls, Russell Falls being our most popular in the Mt Field National Park. Famous for Fagus too. Really enjoyed your video, thank you, spectacular
Thanks for that beautiful walk along the river. I've been dying to see the mountain with all the leaves on the trees and it is as stunning as I thought it would be😍
Been to the caves Sean it was amazing was planning to go back but because of ill health it won’t be possible, love your videos can’t wait till you get the homestead up and running been watching your early ones.
Beautiful walk Sean, I love the idea of raw milk. I used to buy some from a farm in Buckinghamshire and loved it. Totally agree with the “visitor” thing … lovely to see them but nice when they toddle off 😊 Another lovely Vlog Sean ❤
You've brought back memories of my teenage years when you mentioned the Morris Traveller. I lived in West Virginia and wanted to buy my first car. I found an especially cute Morris Mini Minor that a neighbor had brought back with them from being stationed overseas. They wanted $100 for it! What a deal. However, no matter how much I begged, my grandmother would not let me buy the car as she felt it was too small, and with my shifting abilities, I would be in danger! So I said, "Goodbyes" to the car of my dream but never forgot it ❤
I couldn't count the number of times I have been to Dan Yr Ogaf caves. I first went when I was a young boy with my family in the early to mid 60s. It's expanded a great deal now and has added attractions.
Looking at this video, I thought, hey, it looks like a rain forest. IT IS! 'The Celtic Rainforests of Wales are mostly tucked into steep river valleys in rural Gwynedd, Ceredigion and Powys.' Bootiful!
Dear Sean. Thank you for a lovely walkabout. I do so enjoy seeing all the wonders you show. I am also looking for a chaise lounge for a small study I am designing to use as my office/ library. I love rivers and waterfalls and now I think I need to take a wander down by Lake Ontario to see the water and beaches. We also have some immensely beautiful parks in this province and since it is summer I should o and enjoy them, I use to take my children all the time 30 years ago, it made them into nature lovers and my late daughter use to paint the landscape and rivers. Thank you for this video it was a s always a sweet quiet calm time spent with a lovely friend.
Dwli ar Pont Nedd Fechan - Love Pont Neath Vaughn. You can reach Scwd Yr Eira from Dinas Rock a little up the valley from the Angel. You can walk behind Scwd Yr Eira. Hen Rhyd falls is nearby at Ceolbren on the way to Dan Yr Ogof. It's the hightest single drop fall in South Wales. So many magical places to visit just on your doorstep. Lovely video. Diolch.
Hi Sean thank you for taking me on your walk it was just beautiful talking about a car my uncle had a morris traveler lt was green with vanished trim on it he had it for many years one again many thanks you have made my day take care luv sadie xxxx
Lovely video Sean, the walk thro' the woods & sound of the river flowing, rushing over the rocks..beautiful. Reminded me of walking along the Wye river below Symonds Yat rock in the Forest of Dean where also you can end your walk at the pub for a nice meal & cup of tea. How far is the walk to the waterfall?
Hello, I once worked with a retired diary farmer. The thing he said about raw milk was that you have to consume it in a timely manner. I think you're playing with fire, freezing it and defrosting it. Does the farm say you can freeze it? It's easy for milk to spoil when you're trying to defrost in the best of circumstances. Just drink it and enjoy it - fast!.
We had a Jersey cow My ma would milk her 2× per day .She sometimes skimmed the cream for dad's coffee and we drank the rest and she cooked with it. We had an ice box cooled by a block of ice! Some days we churned the milk for butter. She placed it on cheesecloth and rinsed and Pat the butter in a mold !'The leftover buttermilk was cooled in the ice box It was used for cooking and light n fluffy biscuits or pancakes with butter and syrup or jam ! Ma would drink it in the summer! We all grew up healthy and fit. Grandpa sent the vet out yearly to ensure our grass fed cow was healthy! Nothing better than milk straight from a healthy , happy cow ! 🎉
Ps. Our biscuits are a type of bread roll. We didnt have loaf bread. The rolls are placed on a preheated griddle in the oven and baked. Sometimes the whole dough ball was placed in a preheated skillet and pressed flat cooked on the range. It was flipped halfway while cooking and cut into pieces at meal time! 🎉
Loved the bit at 25-23 about the old Welsh saying “nice to see you, when are you going back!” as my dad (welsh) was always saying that which was always embarrassing to mother and us kids. I thought it was father being rude.😂
lovely walk Sean. I used to go there a lot when I was able, as well as the falls at Ystradfellte. Further on from Sgwd Gwladys (Lady Falls) is Sgwd Einon Gam (Fall of the Crooked Anvil). I doubt you'd have made it there that day though as there is no path for the last part and you have to cross the river three times to get there! Sgwd Ddwli Upper and Lower falls are also there (if you turned right at the bridge) but much more accessible. They used to mine silica there and also there are dynamite works in the area too. I've had a couple of strange, ghostly experiences at the falls!! Over in the Swansea Valley is Henrhyd Falls, used as the entrance to he Bat Cave in Batman Rises 🙂
Ah, Sean! That's what I've been hoping for..a hike in the hills to a waterfall! It was SO beautiful, thank you for taking us! I believe all the items you had in the cupboard were bought when you wanted to make your own granola. By the way, I've been meaning to ask about a phrase I've heard you use. What does it mean when you say "And Bob's your uncle!"
I grew up in North Carolina, USA. We had raw milk from my grandparents' farm. I think now you can not sell raw milk to people in NC, only for animal food. As far as I know no one was ever ill from my grandmother's milk, butter or eggs. That is how she made her money while my grandfather, aunt and uncles grew peaches, cotton, vegetables and flowers for sell. We just saw walterfalls in the Pisgah National Forest in the Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina on vacation.
Beautiful walk to go on this morning Sean took me right back to April when I was there. I drank untreated milk for years in the 70s scooped straight out of the container every morning unfortunately I got brucellosis from it because it wasn't a brucellosis accredited herd back then.x
Oh forgot to mention , dont forget to take some milk out of the raw milk cartons before putting in the freezer as the milk expands the same as pasteurised milk. 🥛 🐮 💐
There is a water fall that you can walk behind at a place we called the Blue Lagoon by Ystradfellte meaning valley of the river Mellte, in the Brecon beacons, have you ever been there Sean
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL VID/thank you/thought you were going to be off air for a week/then keep seeing you have done another one/i love this channel so much/i always feel i can breathe a little better after watching//^
Hi Sean, lovely to see the waterfall, the whole walk looked so scenic! 😍 I can imagine it must have stirred some strong emotions from when you'd visited there in the past. Looks like you had a wonderful time with your friends anyway! Good idea keeping the wool and straw from your raw milk and yoghurt deliveries - also I'd keep that foil insulated bag might come in useful! I don't really know much about raw milk, other than it's supposed to have more goodness in it. Will be interesting to hear your opinion once you've tried some. Take care, until next time.
Thanks for the ferns and moss, stones and trees, and waterfalls. Great hike. Looks like good milk did you take some out before you froze it?...Enjoy your guest, have fun❤
Good morning Sean, what a beautiful walk you had, it's funny how nature can adapt itself to growing anywhere. I was walking past a little playground the other day and I was so tempted to have a go on a swing 😂 What gorgeous scenery and another catchy song! Oooh! That yoghurt sounds yummy 😋 I think I remember you having bungay butter in one of your London videos.I really laughed when you said you had been to too good to waste! I commented that it was probably on the list of places to go with your visitors on the video before your holiday 😂 take care Sean 💜
Lovely vlog. Beautiful colours of green trees on your walk. Enjoyed the accompanying music! May I ask. Who is the artist and what is the title of the song please.
I was there as a child, summer if 1976 peak drought, the river was barely a trickle. Butter looks gorgeous ! we make our own from raw cream but in big batches as its a 3hr drive each way to pick up the cream once a month. Just cannot be beaten on taste. I grew up on a farm, milk came straight from the chiller in the morning & tasted of grass and me mam made the best farmhouse butter for miles around.
I've seen those falls before on a landscape photographer's TH-cam channel but never the surrounding area. Thank you for the walk through the woods. It looks beautiful.
Bore da Sean, “Lovely to see you, when are you leaving” 😂Yes that’s us Welsh. Thanks for taking us on that beautiful walk, what a fantastic place. Annie🏴
Hi sean the walk was so beautiful i was with you sean ..when i was a child i used to go to my grandma's and grandad's farm up in the hills in midwales and my grandfather would milk by hand the cows in the morning and a jug of warm frothy milk he would give me some and the cats it was beautiful straight from the cow no need to treat it and im still here sean healthy days they were i feel so privalaged to have had that .love from Aberystwyth ❤❤
That was a great walk you had with your friends, the waterfalls were magnificent but so powerful. Wean yourself off Too Good to Waste Sean and save up for a Morris Traveller. No don't do that I like to see what you buy.
I make my own Kefir because it's the easiest and highest number of Probiotic. I don't get sick when i have it, but I get quite sick if I eat supermarket milk/cheese. In New Jersey raw milk isn't allowed so our milk is ultra pasteurized which means it gets heat up to 180F (just pasteurized is 160F) what happens is at that high temperature it changes the molecule of the milk and stops "being milk". Also, it kills all bacteria and yeast that help us that are not cows to digest milk proteins. So if u get raw milk has every needed for us to digest and too steong for u can dilute with a bit of spring water.
My siblings and I were bought up on raw milk. Dad ran a smallholding he had a jersey cow and the milk from that cow was like cream .The only test that I know it had was for TB . As it passed the test we were OK to drink it. Dad would come home with a churn of milk mum would strain it through some muslin, put it in mason jars and put it in the fridge. We had it neat, mum cooked with it as in puddings etc. Today's milk is tasteless compared to that milk I remember.
Oh thats the stuff i got in my meat pack... Ive decided to go Carnivore for 30days and ordered meat from a home kill company..they delivered it with that wool insulation too...box was completely surrounded and had a lid as well...and several ice packets.. Im not sure what i can use it for at the moment but have kept it..I also buy milk from a diary...theyre just up the road so thats easy...
Stunning scenery, so soothing walking through nature and listening to the water. Im lucky as well to have things like this near me in Scotland. Very interesting about the milk Sean. Enjoy your time with friends 😊
It reminds me of the rapids that Katherine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart went down in that film, can’t remember what it was called, anyone here remember?
Raw milk depends on the health of the cow the milk comes from. I've drank it when I visited my aunt and uncle as a kid. Now? Don't have access to a source that I would trust with my health.
It's fabulous to wake up to such beauty in the waterfall area thank you for sharing.I wonder if we can get some of that lovely raw milk and butter in our area.?
Alovely way to start a Sunday morning, watching your video , I feel at home watching you walk along by the river love the sound of running water, love seeing all the tree roots coming up along the trail, and the waterfall , beautiful, your music was perfect with the waterfall scene, sad, of memories long ago, and coming home leaving your day behind, pitty your visitors picked a rainy week, been horrid up hear in Cumbria too.
I’ve just watched a video on rainforests in the UK and it looks like you have one in your backyard! We have tropical rainforests in Malaysia and I have a tropical jungle garden and kitchen garden at home. Love your videos and they make me homesick coz I studied at uni in London. Watching you drink endless cups of tea is so comforting 😊
Thank you Sean for taking me with you on your wonderful jaunt today. For a lonely lady who doesn’t get out very far, it was a real treat! I tell you, I was there, and I lived it!
Nature never lets you down when it comes to beauty and majesty.
No more furniture at the moment till you get the shed sorted insulated etc, hearing what you said when you greet visitors reminded me of an old Scottish uncle who would always say "come for a visit, you'll have had your tea"
They always say in Glasgow, they say ‘come in! Have a cup of tea!’ In Edinburgh they say ‘come in! You’ll have had your tea?’
So funny! 'You'll have had your tea' can be translated to 'so I don't need to offer you any then'! 🤣
What a Beautiful walk, Thank You for taking us. We really Enjoy ALL your videos.
It 's soo relaxing walking through the Woods to your memories 🥰 wunderschöner Walk on a sunday morning. Danke dafür , have a nice day 👋

This is a lovely video. It's great to see you exploring and showing beautiful Wales to your viewers. Nice to have a pub to go and sit down in after a trek.

Watch this nice cool walk in nature during rest from garden work in 90plus degree heat. Was a pleasure

There is a water fall that you can walk behind at a place we called the Blue Lagoon by Ystradfellte meaning valley of the river Mellte, in the Brecon beacons, have you ever been there Sean
When a child.
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL VID/thank you/thought you were going to be off air for a week/then keep seeing you have done another one/i love this channel so much/i always feel i can breathe a little better after watching//^
Sean, horse drawn tramway many in South Wales
Hi Sean, lovely to see the waterfall, the whole walk looked so scenic! 😍 I can imagine it must have stirred some strong emotions from when you'd visited there in the past. Looks like you had a wonderful time with your friends anyway!
Good idea keeping the wool and straw from your raw milk and yoghurt deliveries - also I'd keep that foil insulated bag might come in useful! I don't really know much about raw milk, other than it's supposed to have more goodness in it. Will be interesting to hear your opinion once you've tried some. Take care, until next time.
Wow amazing. So spectacular
Beautiful walk Sean.
You truly have landed in paradise! Bet the night sky is brilliant!
The scenery spectacular Sean the foliage everywhere so vividly grean fed by the nutrients of the flowing stream stunning ❤
I put my headphones on for this video and got lost in the sounds of the water
Lovely vlog. Beautiful colours of green trees on your walk. Enjoyed the accompanying music! May I ask. Who is the artist and what is the title of the song please.
AI music, I enter the words and feelings and it makes it.
Thank you for your reply.
Your very talented Sean
I was there as a child, summer if 1976 peak drought, the river was barely a trickle. Butter looks gorgeous ! we make our own from raw cream but in big batches as its a 3hr drive each way to pick up the cream once a month. Just cannot be beaten on taste. I grew up on a farm, milk came straight from the chiller in the morning & tasted of grass and me mam made the best farmhouse butter for miles around.
I've seen those falls before on a landscape photographer's TH-cam channel but never the surrounding area. Thank you for the walk through the woods. It looks beautiful.
Bore da Sean,
“Lovely to see you, when are you leaving” 😂Yes that’s us Welsh.
Thanks for taking us on that beautiful walk, what a fantastic place. Annie🏴
Keep that packaging for your garden to suppress weeds or keep the ground warm perhaps.?
Hi sean the walk was so beautiful i was with you sean ..when i was a child i used to go to my grandma's and grandad's farm up in the hills in midwales and my grandfather would milk by hand the cows in the morning and a jug of warm frothy milk he would give me some and the cats it was beautiful straight from the cow no need to treat it and im still here sean healthy days they were i feel so privalaged to have had that .love from Aberystwyth ❤❤
Oh yes and it's true in Wales lovely to see you when you going back that made a laugh so true Sean 😂❤
That was a great walk you had with your friends, the waterfalls were magnificent but so powerful. Wean yourself off Too Good to Waste Sean and save up for a Morris Traveller. No don't do that I like to see what you buy.
What a fabulous walk!
Amazing enjoyed it beautiful
Oh thats the stuff i got in my meat pack... Ive decided to go Carnivore for 30days and ordered meat from a home kill company..they delivered it with that wool insulation too...box was completely surrounded and had a lid as well...and several ice packets.. Im not sure what i can use it for at the moment but have kept it..I also buy milk from a diary...theyre just up the road so thats easy...
Thank you Sean, for permitting us to visit a place , most of us will never see in person. Its a gorgious area of our tiny planet ! 😊
What a lovely walk Sean, looks beautiful. Good memories for you x
Fabulous. Thank you. xx
Gorgeous! So lovely to hear the sound of rushing water.
Congratulations. Your best ever TH-cam video. How beautiful.
Super interesting video Sean.. Spectacular walk and loving your dairy products . .
African Queen.
@@seanjamescameron that’s the one
Beautiful views all around. ❤ Awww, too bad the chaise lounge got sold. Imagine how beautiful Topsy and Amber would have looked using it 🐈⬛🐈⬛ ❤
Beautiful scenery and lovely music. Thank you Sean. 😊
Not yet.
On the day they left the sun came out. 🤣
