Quick tips for the UK car take the fuel pump fuse out "F21 15 amp" and crank the car until the oil light goes off....you really don't want start any engine dry, the crank shells don't like it at all😮. Also never leave your oil cap completely off whilst working in the engine bay all manner of thing's can drop in there and really ruin your day😂. Hope this helps.... great video.

My wife spilt her packet of hulahoops stuffing her face while glaring over the engine bay once & some went in the open oil filler neck, bbq beef & hot oil does smell quite nice at 30mph tho 😂

Great video you may find it easier to fill a plastic jug to save guessing oil quanty. As a mechanic I know when positioning circlips is important. Keeping everything clean is paramount, hence the rags.m.mj

Turn the ignition on, then press the accelerator pedal to the floor & release 3 times, within 10 seconds, then turn off ignition. Should reset it.

You will need a diagnostic machine that has the capability to do it.. if you ignore it it will eventually go away by itself

I did exactly the same with the clamps. These cars are significantly more difficult to work on than our old Corolla/Swift/Pulsar.

Gotta love Italian engineering, and fitting an engine that was never designed to go in 😁

Tell me someone makes an oil filter relocation kit.

Good in depth video BUT oil filter housing definitely needs tightening to 25 Nm (19 Lbs Ft). Your method of hand tight plus 1/4 turn will not have seated the housing fully,. If you can feel or see a gap at the base of the filter housing it is not fully seated.

Yep, I agree with you. Since making the video I have invested in a torque wrench that can do this torque and I have tightened the housing up 👍

Just put in 4 US Qts. of synthetic oil and no need to check it, since that's what you did once draining and refilling it. We use 5w-40 here in the USA.🙂

    • @scottsvxr

You have the Multi-Air in the US, in the EU we have cam driven inlet so it requires 10/50 oil preferably genuine Petronas Abarth oil😊.
