I have the DRS 3.2 9.1 A/V Receiver, and I love it, was buying a Denon and the sales person had me take a look at the Integra. That was it... the price and look, perfect.
My Integra DTR-4.5 is still going strong after more than 15 years, and it's on for 16 hours a day, 'cause it's my TV sound as well as for playing CDs, and my TV is always on, unless I'm listening to CDs.
These look great! Still rockin 40LB 2009 Onkyo THX 7.2 receiver that still works great. Does no one make a surround processor with 2.1 HDMI,eArc and atmos/ DTS:X etc to extent the life of these AV receivers that are much beefier inside than the similar prices units available today
Hi thanks for giving idea of the different of receivers. I have a problem my remote control is already broken how can I have the original remote of drx3.hope you can help me thanks and more power .

@@crash7098 Yes, good question, we have not heard of anything coming. Integra, like most brands who make stereo products, do not change them every year, typically they last 3-7 years.
@@AudioAdvice thanks again for the response. I was interested, obviously, in the DTM 7. I can’t find them in Canada, and couldn’t find much info on next generation Integra.
I know this is an old video, but I just watched it. Have you tested the Integra DRX 5.4 against other brands like Marantz and Denon (comparatively priced models)? Which is the better brand? I’m really having trouble deciding. Also, is there any appreciable difference between the Integra 5.4 and either the Onkyo TX-RZ50 or the Pioneer Elite VSX LX-505? Thank you.

Great question, Onkyo is the parent company of Integra, sorta like Toyota and Lexus. The Integra units have beefier power supplies and better component parts. However, the fact the RZ50 has Dirac Live is pretty great. We should be getting some of the RZ50's in the fall and will know more then. There will likely be a future Integra based on this unit that sounds even better. Thanks for watching
@@AudioAdvice I watched an Integra marketing video and learned that the dot4 versions have true wireless Bluetooth aptx HD. Do the dot3 versions have this? Thanks

I went from a Onkyo to a Integra that I paid 1200 dollars for that was a home theatre top pick before it were sound and vision. They still look the same 10 plus years later and felt cheap. It absolutely had no weight to it for being a preamp for it's size. It lasted about a year. Threw it in the garbage and went with emotiva.i will buy anthem before I buy one of these again.
Wait.. why would you show these units when the new Onkyo and and also Integra (I guess) soon are to be released with Dirac etc? Or is it confirmed that Integra will not get Dirac? That would not be reasonable.

Integra has always been known for their clean and powerful sounding A/V receivers.
Integra has been a leader in the industry for decades. Excellent sound and performance for the money.

I still use my Onkyo Integra TXDS838 from the early 90's!

This video helped alot. Thank you !!
We are very glad it was helpful
Never heard of it before but I love it!!!
Thanks, Integra has been around a long time but under the radar a bit.
80 WPC on the DRX-2.3, 160 WPC here in Australia, I'm guessing the difference is due to our 220-240 Voltage?
How does the 5.4 compare to the older DHC 80.3

is there still a silver/gold version available? I've an old 989v2 gold and rather would stick to the colour...

What are the differences between the DRX-5.3 and DRX-5.4? Can one of the analog outputs be used like a tape out? Thanks.
The latest HDMI specs is the main difference. Yes, if you set zone 2 to a "fixed" audio out, it could be used that way
