I decided in my 30s (quite a long time ago) that I didn't want another relationship. Not because I suffered some great trauma, but when I looked at it objectively a single life offered me more peace, enjoyment, meaning and time. I've honestly never looked back and it was certainly very freeing.

Love is the end goal, but we have it all wrong. We look for it outside of ourselves. I feel the purpose of life is to find love inside of ourselves, not outside of ourselves, and many people struggle with this, loving oneself is the biggest battle we face, and I dont mean superficial love I mean really loving ourselves, realising we are already whole and complete, but we're so broken inside from programing and conditioning as children that we're so far away from ourselves. It's coming back to wholeness and oneness. If I find myself in a relationship he needs to be complete as it's not my job to fix him or mold him, he needs to already be everything he needs as I am that for myself. Healing leads to love and thats where we should all start from, the inside so it pours out of our very being. ❤

Yes that’s beautiful. I do believe many people enter into relationships while never having learned to truly love themselves. This is a complex topic, I could make much more content on it!

@@myselfasevan ooh yes I'd love to hear more on your thoughts about this. I come from a traumatic back ground myself, people pleaser, abused, highly sensitive and I used to walk around with that label victim. It took me many years to realise I was operating from a place of pain. Actually owning up to my own bullshit as I hurt a lot people in my life. That was hard for me owning that but once you truly see yourself, who you are and who you're becoming it triggers and avalanche and roller coaster ride, but through all of that pain and suffering comes empathy and compassion for yourself and releasing the shame and guilt. I could talk about this for hours haha I'm not surrounded by those who think like me, all good though I love finding the answers inside anyway.❤

In a course in miracles, Jesus teaches that the “special relationship” (an unevolved unconscious relationship with ego goals) is the biggest trap that the ego uses to keep us from Heaven. Most humans use relationships to satisfy their ego wants and desires. And a relationship going down that road may start with fun and romance, but will end in hatred, which is what is underneath all that fluff. To experience Heaven (peace, happiness, love of our true self), we need to get out of those future dreams and come into this moment.

I agree and when you are in a relationship, it should be constant growing individually and together. Being complete within is priority before committing at least for me it is.

I've fallen into that trap several times and I've found in the worst way in one of these relationships that it's not all flowers all the time. The latest one made me realize how incomplete I am and that I've projected my traumas and insecurities, and that's something I'm working on. Your content offers a great deal of help 🙏🏻

You're right. People really don't realize how much effort you have to put into a relationship and make it into something. Evan, can you talk about the shadow? And how can we work with it?

Absolutely 💯. We absorbe a story from our exposure to media on what love is.
Then, we chase it and when the truth hits us, we continue to use it as a distraction from our feeling about the uncomfortable truth we just realised.

You are right on the money. Have you read all about love by bell hooks? She said sometbing really similar to the concept here. Daniel Mackler on TH-cam also said that most romantic fantasies are really a parental rescue fantasy.

..the greatest example we have for true love is Jesus. He sacrificed himself for everyone...he also was a servant to the people....everything he did was out of love...for us...draw closer to Jesus and he will show you how to love others the way he designed it...that is just my thoughts ❤️ peace

LOVE IS A VERB- it’s ACTION- most women are loyal to their feelings and emotions only- The wedding is a party and the vows are just words, not a commitment- NEVER MARRY YOUNG MEN

I’m not religious but Jesus was real master and he also seems to have been a Disciple of some Indian Guru’s and learnt many spiritual things and came back to west to teach it but they have a misconception about all of it now and made it a religion
But unconditional Love can be real when one sees Oneness in everyone .

4:38 why does wanting to reproduce become a serious thing? The question should be why do you even want to do it?
Where did that desire come from? When we go to the root? It’s as well the social or brainwashed mentality
I want to reproduce cause everyone is
First one had to evolve and for people on a spiritual path their evolution is the main goal and even with a partner
They’ll mostly not focus on making kids or anything but growing together and making a peaceful life
I’ve even heard that people who want less karma won’t even try to have kids. A spiritual marriage is beyond ALL of this 🫂
5:16 a true spiritual marriage is where we consider each other the same person🫶🏽 as One.
It does brings fulfilment with the right person.
