I have been attending opera and vocal concerts for 55 years and have heard most of the great voices of the second half of the 20th Century live. This man is a vocal phenomenon equal to Callas [who I heard live], Sutherland [who I heard live], Horne [who I heard live] or any other great singer of the 18th and 19th Century vocal canon. He is a phenomenon and should be recognized and treasured as a once in a millennium voice.
Bravo !
+Martin Digweed the first version I ever heard was of Magdalena Kozena, and it is my favourite one! I think we always have a soft spot for those "first times", don´t we? Have you heard the version of the tenor Rolando Villazon? I quite like it
Wooow ! Thriling ! His high notes ! His coloratura ! His voice ! I just wished to be with the audience for clapping and cheering ! Now we want his "Scherza infida " Please.... And many thanks for sharing this unique moment !
I do agree with you, isn't he marvelous!!!! A very sound technique, an exceptional voice with close to three octaves range and a flawless breath control. His coloratura, thrills and vibrato are incredible
Sorry for my English, but there is a lot of argentinians that have conquered Germany: Juan Manuel Fangio, Daniel Barenboim, Martha Argerich, Mercedes Sosa, Susana Rinaldi, and now Franco Fagioli, a wonderful and truly accomplished artist.
Julia J He probably is the closest, although the castrati voice is impossible to replicate without, well, a sacrifice in childhood. They were described as having the power of a man, the range of a woman and the suppleness of a child.
MIMI SAGE Certainly his voice is less demanding and lyrical, but really, this is outstanding, if only for his mastery of technique and difficult arias.

Alberto Gatti says it beautifully. FrancoFagioli has the most beautiful voice this side of Heaven's gates
When musical art serves every human need. Franco's voice is a real treasure, a blessing, a miracle
Bravo Fagioli!
Simply brilliant!
He really is amazing.
He is amazing!
BRAVO, MARAVILLOSO 👏!!!! VIVA FRANCO!!!!
I first heard aria this from Janet Baker, and that will always be my favourite. However, this rendition by Franco Fagioloi is also very beautiful.
+Martin Digweed the first version I ever heard was of Magdalena Kozena, and it is my favourite one! I think we always have a soft spot for those "first times", don´t we? Have you heard the version of the tenor Rolando Villazon? I quite like it
Bravo ... genio!!

perfect, fabulous ... I do not think there's a man or woman singer to interpret this theme as well as Franco Fagioli countertenor . Bravo!!

Probably the best singer of last 20 years... (In my opinion)
Beautiful!

Ariodante in Karlsruhe was so great!!!!!!
4:28 - 4:46 OMG!! Que dominio del aire.
WOW!!!
Ann Hallenberg's interpretation is also a very GREAT example of capability to sing this difficult aria!

Bartoli brought him out with her a couple of years ago for a Handel concert at the Barbican....
No dislikes!!!!!!? That is quite a wonderful thing for TH-cam.
Unfortunately I don't have his "Scherza infida".
This is countertenor gala concert in Karlsruhe which is broadcasted.
Stunning...he never ceases to amaze me :-)

Someone screamed " Farinelli!" with the applause. I think he came the closest so far!
Julia J He probably is the closest, although the castrati voice is impossible to replicate without, well, a sacrifice in childhood. They were described as having the power of a man, the range of a woman and the suppleness of a child.
OMG :3 :3 :3
Yes he is amazing, but I think Jaroussky's voice is so much more pleasing.
MIMI SAGE Certainly his voice is less demanding and lyrical, but really, this is outstanding, if only for his mastery of technique and difficult arias.
David Hansen is much better in vocal range. musicality and artistry. Though I would this piece to Joyce DiDonato. hands down.

C'est parce qu'il n'a pas une gueule d'ange à la Jaroussky...
Alberto Gatti says it beautifully. FrancoFagioli has the most beautiful voice this side of Heaven's gates
And he’s not the only one to say so!
