tbf, xiao at his current state is very easy for the abyss to convince/manipulate, which can be a good way to introduce abyss lector and have xiao be corrupted right in front of us, with xiao in the character screen actually smile after the 'corruption' i can see the deal given by the abyss literally just be >free from his karma >no need for constant fighting or battles >no need to follow rex lapis' contracts >ability to rest/retire and in return, simply >be loyal to the abyss
i doubt this will happen, since xiao was manipulated by some unknown god and used as a "bloodhound", and his concept article specifies that he's not as naïve as he used to be. the only reason he served morax at first is because he had neutralized the first god xiao served and him and the other yakshas saw it as an unpayable debt.
I think it might be the opposite, seeing how fiercely he fights for Liyue and keeps going with Rex Lapis’s contract. I think, that due to his personality, if he wouldn’t care about those he holds close and about Liyue, he would stop with fulfilling the contract by now. And as we saw Zhongli say while handling his gnosis to the fatui ,,contract, to end all contracts” might be implying, that all contracts he ever created, are over by now. Nevertheless, Xiao continues to do his work, no matter what. We also need to remember part of the enemies he fights might be the abyss mages (I’m taking references from watching videos from his story quest on TH-cam). He’s also very loyal to those who he deems his friends, that is Rex Lapis and traveler by now. He was also manipulated by an unknown god in his history, that he got freed from by Zhongli. In return of his saving, Xiao became the adeptus of Liyue (which he must do willingly, considering his character).

Targeting the very repressed aspects of an individuals desires amplifying their inner shadow as described in Jungian psychology. Isn't it interesting how Mondstadt and Liyue have these very powerful individuals precariously balancing on the edge of corruption? By that I mean Albedo and Xiao of course. What is more alarming is that both characters often are found alone far from the centers of their respective nations. The plausible outcome here definitely exists whether Mihoyo chooses to take that path in the storyline or not it remains forever a potential dilemma to be wary of. Wow, seriously I can't say it enough, well done Aster!
Xiao's teapot line means that the traveler could save him from abyssal corruption. We are the only ones able to wield the sword made out of Durin's remains which are full of abyssal corruption. :)
Xiao has one of my favorite stories, I spent a while just reading his story inserts and voice lines, and people often disregard him because he’s the basic emo type, but if you read his story his character makes more sense and becomes a lot more complex
And if you listen to his Chinese VA aka the original one or even his Japanese one you'll realize that he isn't some basic edgy teenager but an immortal being who is being destroyed from the inside because of the actions of the past and the death he has brought for the purpose of protecting what is dear to him. This isn't me hating on the EN VA of Xiao but more on the person who directed her. Every time we defeat an abyss mage they drop ley line sprouts. They're able to manipulate elements because of the white wooden staff in their hands. As for the lectors and Heralds, if they were open world enemies then I'm sure they would have similar drops. So yee just a thought

I'd love that. I've seen some people say that the missing yaksha might be a fatui harbinger because they held a grudge against Rex Lapis for failing to prevent the corruption of the other yakshas. Like Tsaritsa, it's fair to assume that the missing yaksha might also want to destroy/defeat the other archons in a form of revenge? I prefer the abyss thing though, only because the abyss doesn't really have any strong and interesting characters.

If I may I'd like to make a note on the editing of this video, the color changes were a tad distracting and it was just a bit dark to properly see a good chunk of the time. Also while I live them whenever you do the whispering segments in your other videos it's just a tad too soft and I find myself missing some of it. This is an amazing video just as your others and idk if I'm alone in these gripes
