This also brings up the question of how artificial people can use visions? Raiden can be programmed with her abilities by Ei but from my understanding Abedo received a vision in a similar was to regular human characters, so do the God's think they can grant visions to whatever they want as long as they are worthy? Even if the recipient isn't human?
One of the things that make Albedo more human is his art hobby. He said he only started drawing cause of alchemy, but ended up enjoying it. Maybe he was "programmed" to be an alchemist and to search for the truth of the world, but doing his arts in his free time is a passion he "chose" alone for himself
For the question about individuality within the replicas of Genshin, I hold the opinion that it’s what grows outside of their original programming that makes them who they are. Albedo clearly has emotional attachments to obvious characters like Klee, Alice, and the traveler, but he reveals more than he’d like by asking us to be there to stop him if he ever goes rogue. He’s afraid he could hurt the people of Monstadt. He knows love, fear, kinship, and none of that is technically necessary for his only goal given from Gold (faster to type), which was to discover the truth to this world. While it’s true you catch more flies with honey, it’s obvious from who Albedo chooses to interact with (Klee, traveler, sucrose and timaeus) that while he’s not standoffish he’s not trying to wheedle his way into the heart of Monstadt either. He’s an honest man. Taking that same criteria into account, Scaramouche is an honest asshole. Not that he doesn’t have good reason mind you, as he was alone in the world and ended up being mistreated just bc he had ornaments to someone he had no connection to. The correct heart theory may burden him with a conscience and some guilt but he’s “been raised” by his experiences to naturally think lesser of normal humans. Hell, putting himself on a pedestal may even be a reaction to the fundamental wrongness of not having a heart but not knowing what’s wrong 🤔. Alfredo… he has the most potential out of the three right now, and it’s entirely bc he just woke up. His path is not marred by a gardeners preplanned structure. Similar to Scaramouche though he has a longing for something, in his case it’s not a heart but a life. I hope he comes to the realization that he doesn’t have to compete with Albedo, as he understands the desire to live and maybe Alfredo will realize he’s not bound by Golds original design either. His individuality is right there for the taking, but he may be too focused on subject one to realize this. Technically this spiral into conflict with Albedo and friends would shape his personality as well and he’s clearly got his own personality as he has his own consideration of flaws and if they should exist on him. (Also he has the potential to join the abyss as another face instead of just lecterns and mages in his search for Gold) But those are my thoughts concerning the unbound artificial life forms of Genshin. They’ve all grown one way or another while committing themselves to what they consider should be done outside of any specific programming.
Makes me wonder if the Traveler siblings themselves are artificial creatures. Obviously we know barely anything about them (and I hope that changes soon), but it's crazy how they are interdimensional travelers potentially billions of years old (since apparently they've lived long enough to see stars be born and die), can manipulate their own unique powers, fly, and don't age (physically). Can they be classified as gods/demigods or are they also artificial in some form as well? Or are they just so alien that classification is impossible for them?
also their wrists (or wristbands) look a lot like ball joints? and they're suspiciously similar to scaramouche's wrists, who we know for sure is a puppet. kinda sus
I'm still on the side that Albedo at the end of the quest is our Albedo. Because when he walks up to them he still has his star. He did the removal as a way to test/Troll the traveller. But Albedo A likes to troll not only the Traveller but also Kaeya and Diluc... we've seen Albedo with his Smug face multiple times by now. Albedo is never rigid in his thinking, him questioning the nature to create, or be a God is the Nature of Alchemy. Although it might seem contradictory he's also giving us the other perspective of what it means to create, that life itself doesn't need to be beholden to the God that created them. Albedo is able to see all the possibilities in the world which is why his dialogue at the end of Day two of the event held such understanding about his discarded "brothers" actions. For now, we know that Subject 2 the prototype is filled with anger that the traveller picked up on when they first saw them in Mondstad and when they excited the Cave on day 1. This Subject 2 was filled with cynicism toward humans. I don't see him cracking jokes at the Traveller expense just yet. ;)
I just had a realization, the concept of being a "Gardener" could mean something different in Kanria where it means your someone who gives birth to new life via one form or another either through construction like with the Ruin Guards or via alchemists like Gold making new life, hence why the Ruin Guards true names are "Field Tillers" implying their job was to till the life created by "Gardeners"
and also Dein being from Khanria as well is called "The Bough Keeper" meaning he's, I guess "guarding" the main branch of a certain tree. Damn, they love their plants and gardens XD
About why there are robots all over the place... Maybe it has something to do with Celestia and Khanreiah. After all the events that took place, the Feild tillers, the ruin hunters/graders/sentinels, etc. remained, sure, some shut down, but most of them are still there functioning based on their orders. If Khanreiah was taking on the act of creation, working small towards something bigger would be ideal. Start out on synthetic humans, so close to the original that they could blend in perfectly with us, and then work on organic humans. I'm sure there is atleast one person in Teyvat who has travelled to another dimension, maybe seen a godless land prosper? and wished to go against Celestia, who for some reason did not want that to happen. Celestia is stopping them from discovering the truth of this world, holding them back, limiting their knowledge, keeping them in check, a constantly looming threat. They wanted to create an unstoppable force to Celestia's immovable object. Imagine if the Abyss take in Dottore who uses the same methods and has the same objective in mind. But he gets corrupted by the Abyss's presence since at the end of the day he is a mortal, and he takes up one last experiment before his complete corruption. His magnum opus, the creator becomes the creation...
@@ChillwithAster Nah I reposted it lmao. I'd like to know if anybody else thinks anything of it, also I went to add the Dottore part in a response but ya deleted the video. Sorry about that
@@scaranara9970 No worries ! I just had a mental boom at 12 am afjklas i should get some sleep. As for the Dottore, it would definitely be an amazing twist if Dottore removes his coat to show that he's become his own greatest creation ! I don't doubt he's experimented on his own mortality as it is
@@rajamrifqi5764 Oh? That's interesting!! I didn't know, I was thinking of someone like Alice, Gold, a god, etc. but yeah that could be it, especially if they somehow contacted someone in Khanreiah which would have pushed them to research it since they were so technologically advanced and all
I really can't decide what the "bad heart" Scaramouche obtained in HoOD is. Is it referring to the Gnosis, meaning that the Gnosis he wanted was not what he expected and then he might get something else in the future? OR is the "bad heart" perhaps a Delusion given by the Fatui and the Gnosis is his last missing piece? It's very vague, does anyone have an idea?
little off-topic but kinda sad how rosaria wasn't in the event as she was in albedos story quest already sus of him in the first place. imagine her seeing albedo attack the knights and getting the wrong idea. She tells jean and once you get back to mondstat you get apprehended. itd make a good cliffhanger imo. Good video btw
i feel like it would be really interesting if rhinedottir was just another name for lumine (although that probably isn’t the case because the gender of rhinedottir stays the same whether or not you pick lumine as your traveler). the main reason i think it still could be possible is that rhinedottir tells albedo to find the truth of the world and disappears, and lumine does the same to aether. also something interesting that i found while researching was the origin of rhinedottir’s name possibly being the 3 rhinemaidens from this opera idk the name of, who are 3 entities that are treated as one. idk what exactly that means in genshin but i think it’s cool
I don't think she's Lumine, since, as you said, her pronouns are the same even when you picked Lumine (and I know because I picked Lumine too), but she's from Khaenri'ah, and possibly is on the abyss order, or at the very least had some sort of contact with them at some point (I'm quite sure she works with them, but who knows). At the very least, she either shares, or is looking for some knowledge about Tevyat that the abyss siblings has.
This video got me thinking about Dainsleif lines about Albedo on his collected miscellany video... I wonder why Dainsleif would want to stop Albedo and/or Alfredo if their goals, as alchemists, are aligned with Khaerin'ah in the end. Did Khaerin'ah get destroyed by Celestia for creating artificial beings like Albedo and for that defying the authority of the gods, who might be the only source of life for the humans in Teyvat? Because if the reason for Khaerin'ah getting destroyed was the creating of artificial humans, why didn't Celestia take down the Fatui as well? Is there a difference, since they kinda rule over the Tsaritsa? If that wasn't the case, then, why does Dain want to stop Albedo/Alfredo if they step out of the line? What is stepping out of the line? Is aligning with the Abyss? How come is alchemy and the Abyss related? Are they even related? Because alchemy and celestia can't be related, we would have known by now. And Dainsleif don't like Celestia, but wants to defend Khaerin'ah. Why would he go after Albedo if he was doing exactly what the people in Khaerin'ah were theoretically doing in the first place? /No thoughts, head empty
Unfortuantely the art of khemia, which gold practiced, was what ended Khaenriah. Albedo's legacy ended Khaenriah, which may be why Dain is so weary of him
I think that if Kuni DID go through a factory reset, it could still be him. He would still have his memories and experiences, but without the Fatui's tampering, he would just have a whole new way to look at it. If you've read Wings of Fire (spoilers for Book 7 ahead) It's like the deal with Hailstorm and Pyrite. Hailstorm was a rough-and-tumble IceWing not unlike Itto actually, but he cared for his brother and sacrificed himself to save his brother. Meanwhile Pyrite, a shy and insecure SkyWing, is not an actual dragon, but an enchantment made so that Hailstorm no longer remembered his past life and thought he was a completely different dragon. Small bits of his old personality peek through his new one, like being more comfortable around IceWings and liking the cold, etc. But it is a completely different personality and world view. Later in the book, when the enchantment gets removed, Hailstorm goes back to his old self. Or does he? His two personalities are seen visibly warring with each other in Possibility, and he even asks if he can just become Pyrite again so he only lives with one set of memories. It could be the same with Kuni. If we think about Kuni as Hailstorm and Scara as Pyrite, he's been living as Scara for who-knows-how-long at this point, so much so that he thinks this is who he is. The Pyrite part of him has almost completely overwritten the original part. But if he went through a reset, he would be reverted to Kuni, with his old personality coming back to light and Scara completely disappearing. But not all the way. Just like Hailstorm and Pyrite battling, Kuni and Scara would both still exist, and they would both still be a part of him. He has the same memories, but now he's looking at them from two different points of view. But it's still him, just two different versions of him. You can also relate this to Fischl and Amy. Two completely different personalities and histories and fantasies and stories, but still all combined within the same girl. And it's all still her. The girl before she read Flowers for Princess Fischl and the eccentric cosplayer that became of her is still the same person. But Amy isn't completely gone. Something I find remarkable in Kuni is that he is so similar to an actual human that his struggles and a human girl's struggles are almost entirely the same. Two personalities, one natural and one new, exist in the same person. Said person is trying to live up to their new personality, but can't help but let little bits of their old one shine through every now and then. (I'm pulling both of these examples from Unreconciled Stars, what a coicidence!) When Fischl leaves the Traveler and Mona to finish the investigation, she accidentally drops her guard and says goodbye as if she were just Amy and not Fischl von Luftschloss Narfidort, the Prinzessin der Verurteilung. Similarly, when Scara wakes up from his meteorite-induced sleep, he seems vaguely different, like he's a bit friendlier and more amiable to direct and comfortable conversation. Letting some of the old Kuni show through Dottore's reprogramming. Anyways this just a theory and MY GODS IT TURNED INTO AN ENTIRE ESSAY Aster if you read all this, you're a great person, thank you, and also you are surprisingly and scarily dedicated to Scaramouche. Now please go outside and touch some grass, because trust me, you've earned it.
Scara and Albedo have the one similar thing of being Artificial, haven’t watched the video yet but I’m hoping to see them here Aster it’s 11:53pm why are you awake
My nickname for fake Albedo was Nigredo for the earlier stage of Alchemy, but I think I prefer Alfredo, lol. In my opinion, what makes you the same person is continuity of self. If you make a replacement of someone, there is no continuity of self, as it’s a separate self being created. Identical, but not the same. The history certainly isn’t the same between both beings either.
“So I've been thinking: We need humans for these tests. And since the only human within a thousand miles of us is a test-ruining sociopath... I'll just have to MAKE some.” *- GLaDOS (Portal 2)*
I wonder if Katherine was made after they recruited Scaramouche? Dottore could have gotten a rough idea on how to make something that can be programmed to follow orders but still have a very human form. Obviously she's no where near Scaramouche's level but still a baby step to something bigger. Better to have an army of artificial life forms then a bunch of meat shields that Celestia could probably plow through with little to no effort, yeah by the time they fight the Tsaritsa will probably have all the gnosis and be extremely powerful but Celestia might have a plan for that. Honestly it would be kind of strange if they didn't have a 'just in case an archon gets overpowered' strategy.
whenever the fatuis child experiments are brought up, i always wonder if they will ever actually address it in game and if so how they're going to justify the tonal shift between the general tone of the more recent quests, or how they'll handle an event story quest about child experimentation when juxtaposed by cool character art for the event and banner that will inevitably accompany it.
I also noticed that other Albedo at times sounds more laidback and more Khoi like. Note the tone during "I don't think being a gardener is so bad" his tone is not something . What makes it different is experiences of the copies during life. There is one thing to emulate character, but other is experience. We wouldn't call twins the same person if one pretend to be other. We also wouldn't consider a person thinking they are other person due to trauma as other person. Technically it is possible for a person not to be himself after trauma, having a personality shift, but that wouldn't make him a different person entirely. that's part of experience. Number 1 had build his life, became brother to Klee and chief alchemist, Number 2 was ressurected and doesn't have this experience. He is, essentially, a jelaous twin, that wants to take over life of Albedo. That's the main reason he will never be Albedo but only his faulty copy. As for Scaramouche, it can be considered a personality shift after brainwash/trauma if he indeed changed from how he was before. Resetting him would make him have a case of amnesia.
"Artificial life is such an interesting topic with a pletora of moral dilemas and-" Me: *I want to see Albedo and Scaramoche throw hands to decide who is the ULTIMATE LIFE FORM!"*
Great video. you def bring up some interesting points on artificial life vs organic life. I am exited to see where this is taken in Genshin further down the line
Ahhh yes i knew there was something off about Albedo in the last cutscene - it just had to be Alfredo. The real Albedo wouldn't talk so nonchalantly about the creation of life (which as you mentioned was what the whole 'gardener' metaphor was about).
🌸😼I suppose at this point, that should one have not completed majority of 2.3’s tale, it is their own fault should they behold any spoilers for opening social media😼🌸
As a programmer, I would say that it doesn't matter if an object is identical another in all it's attributes because what makes them unique is not their attributes but their instance. The same could be applied to all of these, if you change the original albedo, no matter how you change it, it's still albedo, but if you copy it, you create something new, even if its identical.
Hmm well yea The idea of artificial being, has never sit right with me. If someone can create a being so similar to one of a human, then what's saying others can't? Let's put it this way; there are two of you, you went through the same experiences, said the same things, and develop in the exact same way...what's to prove that one of you is fake and the other is real? Even if that is the case, who is which. If human life can be so easily replicated, then it is no longer special. Of course at the essence, we can never completely create what we call a "perfect artificial human." Humans are so difficult to decipher and to create such a being, one must have a vast understanding of human psychology and programming, and even with that it's impossible to create a perfect human no matter how similar a creation is to a normal human being. Albedo and Scaramouche, as much as it hurts to say, can never be truly human. They are creatures of an imperfect creation and will stay as such. My thoughts on artificial humans is that....they can never be truly human, and when mass production is available, no one in this world can ever create a true human being.
I think it is really important that Aether and Lumine are twins - since twins are the closest to "natural human copies" you can get. Maybe someone is testing/ studying their behavior in some way.
i mean after the whole event n how rhinedottir basically: 1)"accidentally" created riffhounds that BLEED people to death, killed hirichurls & attacking other wolves. The fact that these hounds once everywhere & MIGHT BE THE "ABYSSAL MONSTER" mentioned in every cataclsym lore, thus the one that create signora's suffering 2)throw failed albedos to durin as he ended up in dragon's belly for some reason, and somehow probably this make durin corrupted n attacking 3)leave albedo after find heart of neberius n make him feel abandoned even when she leaves him with a "friend" make me think the whole khaenriah fiasco is about: "knowledge advancement SOMETIMES, hurts teyvat" just like we have internet n stuffs but struggle to conserve our resources, human development can be harmful & I appreciate albedo's sentiment about creation in this patch more than alfredo's
Now I am more confused, so which albedo is it that we are talking to at the end of the story quest??? There are some theories that point out to be alfredo, but there are also some analysis that said it is the og albedo. Or this is purposefully done because of the theme of imposter and replaceable? Maybe its just MHY way of saying: "Screw ur headache, just wait until Christmas next year where albedo is going to get re-run again and we are forced to be in dragonspine"
Such a great video *.* I really appreciated the Albedo analysis at the end. I've read many theories and arguments about whether the last Albedo we talked to was the real one or not and was on the fence about what to believe. BUT when you put those conversations back-to-back next to each other... wow. That. Is. Not. The. Same. Person o.O no way is that the same person talking. lmao now I'm disturbed. Thanks for the amazing content as always xx
Albedo is an artificial life form Albedo has a geo thus can manipulate geo energy So basically albedo is an artificially made structure that can manipulate geo energy In conclusion albedo is a geo construct
I think that a person is defined in a large part by their experiences. As you said, we all have “programming” in the form of parental and societal examples that give us a baseline for how we should behave and react to things, but our differing experiences alter how and if we use that programming, how we perceive and react to new instructions and experiences, etc etc. As we experience, we evolve. As such, I think it’s important to ask whether or not these creations were designed to be static or not, whether or not experience will change their thoughts. If they can THINK in new ways, regardless of limitations on their actions, they are individuals. In that vein, “resetting” Scaramouche would be a pathetic cop out, and would essentially be killing off a whole life of experiences. Because I think the only way to really remove the part of Scaramouche that made him join the Fatui would be to remove the experiences that caused him to see the flaws in humankind and revel in their pain, and at that point yeah, he isn’t Scaramouche. While I think it’s VERY possible that Scaramouche wasn’t Like That before the Fatui, I don’t think it’s necessarily because of literal reprogramming. If Scaramouche is capable of evolution, that attitude could definitely have come about naturally. Additionally, how WOULD you even reprogram something like that. Like, not only was the tech used to make Scaramouche is long lost, but his mechanisms were divinely created. Breaking a seal on something already installed in him is one thing, doing an overhaul on his identity is another. But the Fatui ARE the most technologically advanced nation in Teyvat, so maybe it is possible. Although in that case I can’t imagine why they’d let him. Yknow. Go MIA. Maybe it’s part of Pierro’s grand plan, but then why is Childe looking for him? Childe doesn’t even like Scaramouche, no way he’s doing this on his own time. Plus, Pierro’s super loyal to the Tsaritsa, isn’t he? Why would he get in the way of her goal to obtain the gnoses? And besides, considering Pierro’s done metaphorical puppeteering on Scaramouche before (totally blanking on the event name but we all know the one), Scaramouche must be capable of his own thoughts and actions, right? Or at least Pierro must believe so. If he could just be reprogrammed, such games are worthless. It could be argued further that this is an internal politics things, and this scheme is something Pierro wants to keep away from Dottore, but still, subterfuge implies that Pierro believes that Scaramouche is capable of independent thought. Meaning Scaramouche is an evolving being this was the same argument being made in circles good video have a nice day Edited to improve general cohesion even though it still kinda spirals at the end
What we haven't seen so far is the Upload where humans Upload their consciousness into a synthetic. A concept very prolific in the sci-fi genre. Technically even the Matrix Movies are, for the majority, a story about synthetic humans grown by machines. They have the ability to download skill sets, a particular useful feature that actual humans lack. And for the most part, nobodies asking if Neo is truly human. Isn't that just odd?
This topic is very interesting to me as a person and as someone who wants to study psychology. What makes 'Scaramouche' Scaramouche? Scaramouche is the Fatui harbinger, he is still the prototype because he keeps on yearning a true heart (gnosis?) but he is too that entity who got burneded by other people problems just because of his connection to the Shogun. A exact copy of Scaramouche personality is just that, a copy, the experiences are no longer genuine for them because the feeling of 'I gotta experience this myself' arises (Like Leonardo Da Vinci from FGO) What makes ' human's ' human if there's the tech to create organic human bodies and personality? Would it be the unique experiences after creation?
there's artificial life everywhere in Genshin cause its a Mihoyo game and that one of the bingo check marks. Honestly, this is one of the few topics that have some pretty direct parallels to honkai, artifical life is a large part in Honkai and though its not confirmed I suspect they follow similar rules. K423, A103, A110, the e.l.f Klein, even the Herrscher of Domination and Otto's soulium bodies, I think theres one key aspect to making all of these artifical lifeforms actually live in Genshin, and the precedent has been set by Honkai, its the concept of a soul. Without a soul an artificial lifeform would just be an empty husk, unmoving, unthinking, they require something, they need something usually from a human or.....other beings to be implanted in them to actually "wake up" per se. Btw i haven't played the event yet but i think the fake Albedo is more like a brother to the real Albedo rather than an imposter.
Interesting, that reminds me Nier Automata, when you die in game, you're dead, the way to continue your progress is to load a new body with your saved memories, your new body is devoided of the chips you had (the upgraded gear in game) and you have to go to the same place and find the body of your past self to retrieve that gear, the way you save the game is to upload your mind to a server, so if your current body dies , you are reloaded from that point into a new body. And Self destruction is a valid option! the first time you do it is in the tutorial and you need to come back there to retrieve the sword your past body was using.
This is a great video, but when it comes to Albedo, i have a theory. In the end of part 2 we see Albedo pulling his sword in order to find and problably fight Alfredo, but what if the second guided Albedo to where Durin's remains are to show his progress on his investigations? After all Durin's remains aren't that far from Albedos camp. So what could Alfredo show to Albedo? Perhaps an unfinished body of Joel's father, hence to why he take the childe from Eula, and maybe that progress could only be possible due to Durin's energy, just like when Albedo describes the whopperflower, so my take on this is that both alchemist work togerher to bring back Joel's father and end in an agreement so that Albedo can progress on his investigations using Durin's remains while Alfredo could live on his behalf from time to time, that could actually explain why Albedo brings the conversation about creating life and why Alfredo it's still alive and has a diffrent point of view about the creation of life. But that could be just me overthinking things, if you take tour time to read this in my horrible english, then thank you and have a nice day. La gente me llama lasagna
@@ChillwithAster LOL! But seriously, I got the idea because of two Fatui members talking beside Mondstadt's lower Waypoint. Great video, by the way, Aster.
This is the only thing that blows my mind.If Albedo that we know is an artificial human. Then how on earth did he get a Geo Vision in the first place and capable of using it.
This is gonna be copium at it’s highest potency but what if they put this lore because the abuss sibling is actually artificially created and that the original is either sealed or dead. Or are we, the main traveller, artificially created? It would explain our memory gaps.
Your video made me think of how our gacha characters fall from the sky maybe as a replica of original character from the story as a artificial life like Albedo and Alfredo. What do you think about that? I hope they somewhat explain how this work lorewise in the future or maybe give us more story like this to make our guess.
i love your videos and theories so much Aster!! they're made so well and you speak with such eloquence ^-^ that robot voice at the end tho,, got me questioning if you're artificial too @.@
Every time I watch these lore videos from the memory data and to artificial life, I feel like Teyvat is simply just a simulation and pretty much every single character we see is more or less just a artificial being, kinda like how it is in Fate/Extra: Last Encore with the Moon cell having data and simulating of every single human that ever existed
I just want to add this as a Genshin and Honkai fan. In the main Honkai bubble universe(the world that we play) Otto Apocalypse was be able to create a perfect copy of him using nano liquid metal known as Solium(basically T-1000) . A body that was created resemble the human anatomy down to its individual cells(it can bleed and eat like a normal human), it can only be disturbed or broken using a one of a kind Divine Key(godly weapon created using herrscher remnants). Back then Traveler and Albedo drink a potion with a similar end results, that made me think they has a similar body structure. They both had been shown they can consume food and drink, effected by cold, heat, and more. So it's a possibility that Albedo, Fakebedo and (maybe) During was created by Gold using something similar to Solium(Fakebedo can change his appearance in second just like Otto). That open a possibility that the twin was also created in a similar manner but maybe more advanced, so they can use Elemental power using their own body as a catalyst instead of a vision. This is basically a Honkai x Genshin theory, they are in a different world(Bubble Universe) but in a same universe(Hoyoverse). But hey it's just a theory.
Hmm....a bit far from the video but I wanna say this. Now that fakebedo is introduced....we sort of have a similar story with scaramoche. Both were thrown by there creaters because they were regarded as "imperfect". One by a god and other by a human(let's assume that gold is human or who knows what). Quite a cruel act. This takes me back to the tevyat introduction trailer where Dain says "I say we humans have more humanity". Yet we see gold straight up making durin swallow fakebedo. But if we read cinnabar spindle lore it say. "You must pursue that which your elder brother, the one-horned white horse, could not accomplish. Reach the far side of philosophy, and create a new destiny for myself and your brothers..." Makes me wonder if gold did feel sorry for her act......and also this in comparable to ei line about scara sa she states she does not care about what he does....not feeling of sorrow at all... I kind of forgot about what I was talking about cause I am probably sleep typing....but whatever And one more thing.....who the hell is one-horned horse? And how do you think Klee will be with fakebedo if she were every to meet him? Hehe Cheers everyone...... Edit:We seriously need mona in story. Not only would thinks have been easy, seeing those two genius on screen and not just reading about them together off screen is killing me inside. Mihoyo give me more albedo and mona conversation...
Honestly, yea! Some people were even theorizing when act 1 came that alfredo was scara, and while it was definitely a stretch, it did have sufficient grounds because their stories were very identical. As for the one-horned horse, it's most likely a unicorn, but i couldnt find any possible connections of the unicorn to the prose edda / das rhinegold which were the inspirations for the khaenriahn characters, so it's probably a new literary reference
I interpreted Albedo’s thoughts on creation more as skepticism of the divinity and authority of the gods (which makes him based as heck) as opposed to fearful respect He seems to know a little a bit what he does is related to Gold, and the destruction and calls into question why the act of creation is considered arrogant And I think this would help explain the ending scene as well because I’m under the belief that it is Albedo and not Alfredo
I really wonder what were the rules Ei gave to the Raiden Shogun, because in usual philosophical questioning about artificial life, if she wanted to preserve eternity in the land, but being able to make changes (like the visual hunt decree) , one of the faster solutions would be to kill everything that lives there, so no change could happen. Ei most have learned a thing or two from making the prototype, or at least had the foresight to impose enough rules so that people wouldn't suspect that something happened to the Shogun.
Katherine is like the Genshin version of Alexa. One difference seems to be that the Katherine's seem to share information with one another. Tiki Taisho is your classic servitor a classic magical being that operates via a set of commands. The longer they exist the more self awareness and freedom they obtain. Interestingly there's very little difference between such creations and synthetic beings. The Raiden Shogun, Scaramouche and Albedo are very much the Cylons of Genshin. There longevity and independence can often lead them to turning against their masters if given enough cause. The argument of nurture vs nature when discussing synthetic life is a very common discussion the anime Sword Art Online brought this subject up in Underworld. It's been brought up in Battlestar Galactica regarding humans and Cylons. The series Andromeda actually goes so far to use the AI of the Andromeda, her hologram and her synthetic manufactured robot to show the differences of said AI. (Quite interesting as their personality alters depending on perspective and challenges) Just a few suggestions for those interested in these topics.
So the real questions are now : Is there Alfredos everywhere and is Aster a robot too? Maybe we are robot too. Inside a giant robot without knowing it. Is my bed a robot?
It is fair to say that scaramouche was the same person. It isn’t YOU that determines who you are, no matter how much you might think it. ITS OTHER PEOPLES PERSPECTIVE OF YOU THAT DETERMINES WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU. Because of this and the fact that the traveller and nahida both were able to remember what past scaramouche did, it does not matter that he lost his memories because others continue to know the truth and treat him in regards to that truth. The traveller is shown to be suspicious of him even after he had made the changes in irminsul, this treatment leads scaramouche to QUESTION, what could cause him to be treated like this which leads us down the path of him regaining the memory of his crimes. Showing that no matter how hard he tried while some other people may have forgotten, his past caught up to him.
Maybe katheryne's purpose also is keep an eye for powerful adventurers who have a potential to be harbingers or even full on spyware for the case of war. After all someone here is starting a reballion....
the algorithm took me here and I thought that aster has a cold T-T this is a year ago. anyway hope you recover soon! I get dopamine when you have a new upload
what if the traveller is an artificial human as well knowing that they could be the project ark from honkai, that could explain why albedo said that we're both different just like him
Crazy theory, but hear me out. All the NPCs (with a few exceptions like Signora and Yae Miko) are artificial life forms. They fall into one of three models and almost all look the same. They even repeat voice lines and when you do daily commissions, you can do the same one for the same npc multiple times. Now you could say that's just mihoyo saving time on character models, but they always blur the lines between gameplay mechanic and lore (i.e the genesis crystals and masterless stardust/starglitter), so who's to say they don't use the same logic with the NPCs? Might be wildly off but it just intrigues me to think about it. Edit: typo
ASTER UR A GENUIS?? it never occurred to me that one of the twins might not be real and i love that speculation/ theory so much! I hope we get more information on fontaine soon so we'd be able to deduct the probability of this- and if she which one is real ? asdhgkhghgf
Imagine Alfredo replaces La Signora 💀 Pierro already went around picking angry artificial beings full of revenge anyways. Probs looking for new replacements.
Hi just here to tell you that I got Albedo today and so I am ready to destroy Mondstad 👍🏻 (and here’s to hope if Mihoyo decides to make Scara playable in future I’d get him too)
It wouldn't be impossible to day after Celestia descended to this world and wipe out the Seelie Civilization and the Primordial Humans they later found this world lonely with creatures to worship them. Hense they mass produced Humans and assign Archons to rule over them. This world could just be a world filled with only clones of Primordial Man.
Gonna watch after commenting so that the video doesn't guide my thought process. On the topic of Artificial Life in Genshin Impact it may hint towards something interesting with the themes of the story. At first glance it appears to be a story about what it means to be a God vs what it means to be a Human however the creation of Artificial Life is literally the act of "playing god." The seats of deities are things that seem to be able to be "filled" by mortals/otherwise. Likewise these "deities" themselves as the story progress have succumbed to earthly desires in some way. The Archons' journey results in them "playing human." Deities covet humanity and humans covet divinity. This cycle of ambition seems to be at the core of Teyvat. As some speculation let's take Asmoday. It's appearance is taken after the Herrcher of the Void who herself was an artificial lifeform. It's very likely that they are an artificial god. Scaramouche themselves can also be seen as an artificial god. Albedo however? He's an artificial human. So what could it mean to be an Artificial Human vs an Artificial God? The differences are apparently severe enough that the former justifies the destruction of a nation.
wait, did it say or imply anywhere in real genshin content that kathyrene is a synthetic human, or is that your theory? forgive me if i didnt quite catch it in your video 😅 (which was aMAZING by the way, i love all ur vids
In new book added in this patch it is said Ei died so her sister could win in archon war and was resurrected to a new body by Makoto, so can it be that the origin of an art of creating an artificial life belongs to the first electo archon? Then Ei just used her sister's knowledge to make Shogun and Scaramouche. And if that's true, then Before storing her consciousness into sword the only difference between her and her creations was that she had a soul that was stored in a body. Do Shogun and Scaramouche have souls then? And what about Albedo? Body can be created by magic in genshin, but what about soul?
Mhm! I saw the "Ei sacrificed her body for Makoto"! Though I never did find the book itself, do you know what name is? I think it's cool though, that now we have an implication that "consciousnesses" can be put in another vessel. So hmm I wonder yeah if Sho and Scara have souls? And if so, what even are SOULS?

Letts goooo
omg i was wondering what happened LOL i had the other video open in a tab before i went to sleep and woke up to it unavailable i was so confused
So thats why the first one became private...
(Also he has the potential to join the abyss as another face instead of just lecterns and mages in his search for Gold)
But those are my thoughts concerning the unbound artificial life forms of Genshin.
Why are both the travellers' necks covered tho? I'm going to be so surprised if they have a similar mark like albedo
and why is there a thing on their chest that glows depending on their element
also their wrists (or wristbands) look a lot like ball joints? and they're suspiciously similar to scaramouche's wrists, who we know for sure is a puppet. kinda sus
This comment aged incredibly well
I'm still on the side that Albedo at the end of the quest is our Albedo.
Eugh.

No one knows yet and it's intentionally vague because Mihoyo. We'll find out when he comes back i guess.....in 1 year...

little off-topic but kinda sad how rosaria wasn't in the event as she was in albedos story quest already sus of him in the first place. imagine her seeing albedo attack the knights and getting the wrong idea. She tells jean and once you get back to mondstat you get apprehended. itd make a good cliffhanger imo. Good video btw
yess I was also disappointed about that.
i feel like it would be really interesting if rhinedottir was just another name for lumine (although that probably isn’t the case because the gender of rhinedottir stays the same whether or not you pick lumine as your traveler). the main reason i think it still could be possible is that rhinedottir tells albedo to find the truth of the world and disappears, and lumine does the same to aether. also something interesting that i found while researching was the origin of rhinedottir’s name possibly being the 3 rhinemaidens from this opera idk the name of, who are 3 entities that are treated as one. idk what exactly that means in genshin but i think it’s cool
I personally think Skirk is Rhinedottir

I have a theory that Fontaine and Snezhnaya are working together as they seem to be the most advanced nations in Teyvat

How true, Mein Freulein.
Fascinating. I used to study Computer Science before (which was what sparked my love for these motif) and I can definitely agree with this perspective
Hmm well yea
The idea of artificial being, has never sit right with me.
Yeah it's unsettling to think about.
I think it is really important that Aether and Lumine are twins - since twins are the closest to "natural human copies" you can get.
Maybe someone is testing/ studying their behavior in some way.
There are so many robots because, just like Gods, humans wanted to control something or someone. Creating things for their sake and their joy.
i mean after the whole event n how rhinedottir basically: 1)"accidentally" created riffhounds that BLEED people to death, killed hirichurls & attacking other wolves. The fact that these hounds once everywhere & MIGHT BE THE "ABYSSAL MONSTER" mentioned in every cataclsym lore, thus the one that create signora's suffering 2)throw failed albedos to durin as he ended up in dragon's belly for some reason, and somehow probably this make durin corrupted n attacking 3)leave albedo after find heart of neberius n make him feel abandoned even when she leaves him with a "friend"
make me think the whole khaenriah fiasco is about: "knowledge advancement SOMETIMES, hurts teyvat" just like we have internet n stuffs but struggle to conserve our resources, human development can be harmful & I appreciate albedo's sentiment about creation in this patch more than alfredo's
It's the beauty of cliffhangers
Such a great video *.* I really appreciated the Albedo analysis at the end. I've read many theories and arguments about whether the last Albedo we talked to was the real one or not and was on the fence about what to believe. BUT when you put those conversations back-to-back next to each other... wow. That. Is. Not. The. Same. Person o.O no way is that the same person talking. lmao now I'm disturbed. Thanks for the amazing content as always xx
Albedo is an artificial life form
Albedo has a geo thus can manipulate geo energy
So basically albedo is an artificially made structure that can manipulate geo energy
In conclusion albedo is a geo construct
Meaning Scaramouche is an evolving being this was the same argument being made in circles good video have a nice day
Edited to improve general cohesion even though it still kinda spirals at the end
A exact copy of Scaramouche personality is just that, a copy, the experiences are no longer genuine for them because the feeling of 'I gotta experience this myself' arises (Like Leonardo Da Vinci from FGO)
What makes ' human's ' human if there's the tech to create organic human bodies and personality?
And Self destruction is a valid option! the first time you do it is in the tutorial and you need to come back there to retrieve the sword your past body was using.
thank you for contributing to my trust issues
I mean, I wouldn't want Albedo to be replaced, but I sure as hell wouldn't argue having an Albedo harem. Idk, might just be me, lmao
No no the stream chat also agrees that it is now scientifically possible to have an albedo harem
Yes and all of them forgot to put an off button
The memories and experiences is what makes personality
I... I feel like iv watched this video before...
Just can't remember when....
This is not a repost people, it's a brand new video👀
there was no repost. the repost is not real
Always love your theory/lore videos!
I can’t believe I misspelt lore with love
Who thinks susAlbedo is gonna fill Signora's roll as the 8th Harbinger?
"Alright you are now the fair lady"
"...what"
@@ChillwithAster LOL! But seriously, I got the idea because of two Fatui members talking beside Mondstadt's lower Waypoint. Great video, by the way, Aster.
That would be special and cool
everytime i watch aster's videos is where my brain doesn't feel slurred for once
This is the only thing that blows my mind.If Albedo that we know is an artificial human. Then how on earth did he get a Geo Vision in the first place and capable of using it.
Yess, I also call subject 2 Alfredo bc he's an impasta
a *Hive Shrieker-like* sight of method for a powerful being to observe.... *(**03:42**).*
not unsettling enough....
I hope they somewhat explain how this work lorewise in the future or maybe give us more story like this to make our guess.
i love your videos and theories so much Aster!! they're made so well and you speak with such eloquence ^-^
that robot voice at the end tho,, got me questioning if you're artificial too @.@
Every time I watch these lore videos from the memory data and to artificial life, I feel like Teyvat is simply just a simulation and pretty much every single character we see is more or less just a artificial being, kinda like how it is in Fate/Extra: Last Encore with the Moon cell having data and simulating of every single human that ever existed
Artificial body pillow of albedo and Scaramouche when?
lyney and lynette are the reason i started playing genshin Scaramouche is the reason i stayed
Watch it turn out celestia is a robot from the travelers old world sent to create a new safe world for their people
if you throw the video playspeed at 0.25x when Aster goes to start her 4th kind of lifeform, it goes a lot more spookier.
2:45 the way I actually got scared of this
Hmm....a bit far from the video but I wanna say this.
Reach the far side of philosophy, and create a new destiny for myself and your brothers..."
Makes me wonder if gold did feel sorry for her act......and also this in comparable to ei line about scara sa she states she does not care about what he does....not feeling of sorrow at all...
I kind of forgot about what I was talking about cause I am probably sleep typing....but whatever
And one more thing.....who the hell is one-horned horse? And how do you think Klee will be with fakebedo if she were every to meet him? Hehe
Cheers everyone......
Good thing I played Fallout 4 and learned that I still dont know how I feel about this
SAME. When i saw the 2.3 event i was like"this is some institution war flashbacks"
I interpreted Albedo’s thoughts on creation more as skepticism of the divinity and authority of the gods (which makes him based as heck) as opposed to fearful respect
He seems to know a little a bit what he does is related to Gold, and the destruction and calls into question why the act of creation is considered arrogant
And I think this would help explain the ending scene as well because I’m under the belief that it is Albedo and not Alfredo
Freaking love that Nahida spilled some beans on her
I really wonder what were the rules Ei gave to the Raiden Shogun, because in usual philosophical questioning about artificial life, if she wanted to preserve eternity in the land, but being able to make changes (like the visual hunt decree) , one of the faster solutions would be to kill everything that lives there, so no change could happen.
(Quite interesting as their personality alters depending on perspective and challenges)
Just a few suggestions for those interested in these topics.
woooo, that's what i need after a sports lesson.
oh damn, PE?
So the real questions are now :
Is there Alfredos everywhere and is Aster a robot too?
Maybe we are robot too.
Inside a giant robot without knowing it.
Is my bed a robot?
the end scared the shit out of me-
It is fair to say that scaramouche was the same person.
Showing that no matter how hard he tried while some other people may have forgotten, his past caught up to him.
so glad I'm not the only one who calls fake Albedo 'Alfredo'
Maybe katheryne's purpose also is keep an eye for powerful adventurers who have a potential to be harbingers or even full on spyware for the case of war.
After all someone here is starting a reballion....
After 5 minutes of pausing and playing i can finally conclude that the picture at 2:46 is paimon
the algorithm took me here and I thought that aster has a cold T-T this is a year ago. anyway hope you recover soon! I get dopamine when you have a new upload
Alfredo my beloved
so that’s why “human life is worthless”? bc it’s easily replaceable?
I think Joel's father is also a double Like Alfredo who died
4:06 *my commissions that are set at random:*
what if the traveller is an artificial human as well knowing that they could be the project ark from honkai, that could explain why albedo said that we're both different just like him
Crazy theory, but hear me out.
Edit: typo
The 'Art-of-icial Life'
ASTER UR A GENUIS?? it never occurred to me that one of the twins might not be real and i love that speculation/ theory so much! I hope we get more information on fontaine soon so we'd be able to deduct the probability of this- and if she which one is real ? asdhgkhghgf
Imagine Alfredo replaces La Signora 💀
Pierro already went around picking angry artificial beings full of revenge anyways. Probs looking for new replacements.
Question when you swap to Albedo or any of the Archons in your part do there visions resonate?
Albedo's does cause it's a genuine vision
Hi just here to tell you that I got Albedo today and so I am ready to destroy Mondstad 👍🏻 (and here’s to hope if Mihoyo decides to make Scara playable in future I’d get him too)
1 minute into the video and its kinda easy to see that asters vv exited
It wouldn't be impossible to day after Celestia descended to this world and wipe out the Seelie Civilization and the Primordial Humans they later found this world lonely with creatures to worship them. Hense they mass produced Humans and assign Archons to rule over them.
This world could just be a world filled with only clones of Primordial Man.
Gonna watch after commenting so that the video doesn't guide my thought process.
On the topic of Artificial Life in Genshin Impact it may hint towards something interesting with the themes of the story.
At first glance it appears to be a story about what it means to be a God vs what it means to be a Human however the creation of Artificial Life is literally the act of "playing god."
The seats of deities are things that seem to be able to be "filled" by mortals/otherwise. Likewise these "deities" themselves as the story progress have succumbed to earthly desires in some way. The Archons' journey results in them "playing human."
Deities covet humanity and humans covet divinity.
This is perfect to listen to while in class and having major iron deficiency 💪💪💪
JASLFKJAKSL DONT LISTEN TO THIS IN CLASS FOCUSSSS SEVENNN
Count me in
The f???
I thought Genshin was a simple fantasy game but apparently artificial life exists😳
Artificial video but where has the original gone LMAO ...
Wait am I artificial... .___.
agdjgsld this is subject 2
Plot: all but playable characters were robots
Layton reference?
This can mean Scara will be factory reset for the sake of redemption. Have your expectations low
Nah my bet is that he wont be playable. he will die and we get a really cool puppet fight scene
@@ChillwithAster he already have voiceline about him among other playable characters... Signora didn't - even tho she was very important character
30k soon
wait, did it say or imply anywhere in real genshin content that kathyrene is a synthetic human, or is that your theory? forgive me if i didnt quite catch it in your video 😅 (which was aMAZING by the way, i love all ur vids
A theory ~ There's no in game confirmation for Katheryne's (Katherynes') origin
wasn't subject 2 killed off screen?
Nope; no one has any idea where it is
Human creation?
Daddy + mommy = baby.
I opt to call fake albedo as alberto though
