Ch or tch? Help your kids learn when to spell words with ch and tch!

  • Help your kids learn when to use ch and when to use tch in this video.
    Tch is generally used when you hear the /ch/ sound immediately after a short vowel (catch, hutch, pitch, match, latch, etc). There are four common exception words - much, such, which, and rich. If the /ch/ sound comes after a consonant or “trick”, just put ch (bench, punch, branch, beach, porch, etc).
