On out viano campervan we just set up a hotspot on our phones, unlimited data on our contracts so easy really and no expense. We have a couple of tablets on ceiling mounts which are just set to look for our hotspots . Also with the tablets you can mira cast to multiple devices from mobiles, 2 tablets both receiving the same film and the Audio is just bluetoothed to the van radio. Or the kids can watch different films and listen on bluetooth headphones

Sounds like a neat set up 👍 I think this little WiFi unit we got was just to give us a relatively cost effective solution too that we just keep in the van.. I don’t have unlimited data on my phone so using it as hotspot would give it a hammering 😂 it’s worked pretty well and the 5G connection which I don’t have on my phone either… maybe I should upgrade my mobile contract though! 🤣

Maybe , we are pretty lucky with our phone contracts , I've got home mobile broadband router, and 2 phones with unlimited data , free calls /texts to uk numbers and ee. All for £81 a month, maybe worth you while shopping around

I'm guessing you have an unlimited data plan to download/stream movies etc? If so how much you paying per month and what network? I was thinking of just using my mobile as a WIFI hotspot. Cheers.

Hi - Thanks for the comment and checking out the video… I have just gone for a pay as you go sim for now on O2 was £39 pre loaded with 100gig of data it’s only going to be for occasional use really and we wanted have something to keep in the van.. I think yeah using the mobile as hot spot too be OK for sure 👍

@@TransitCustomCamper Thanks mate! I suppose that might be a good idea. Once it's used up, just top it up rather than be stuck to a monthly cost.

Yeah and will stop the kids keep asking me to give them my hot spot WiFi code 👍 When I looked into too the WiFi dongle was better at handling multiple connections apparently… but will see when kids trying to play Fortnite and the good lady wife trying to steam latest episode of Love Island 😂

@@JamesWestVideo- can you explain? Not intentionally intended to mislabel - it’s a 5G enabled dongle.. so let me know what you mean and yeah more than happy to get this updated as needed 👍

@@TransitCustomCamper yes I can explain super easily. That is not a 5G dongle and lower down you even wrote that’s it’s 4g

@JamesWestVideo - oh yes.. looks like I have made an error there - thanks for pointing it out.. I am sure when I purchased it said it was 5G enabled but I can’t find the product now either.. I’ve changed the description but not the thumbnail.. I’ll edit the notes too 👍 thanks for spotting this
