This episode made me cry. The fact that Midoriya was able to reach these villains is proof of his belief that they can be saved. For him to see these people that society gave up on not only redeeming themselves but fighting to protect him is overwhelming. This is the push he needs to still reach out to Shigaraki because he believes he can break through to him, just like the others. He doesn't believe yet it's too late.

As goofy and crazy as the mini arc of Gentle Criminal was, it was honestly one of my favorites of the series. Seeing how he and Midoriya were pretty much parallels to one another and that Midoriya literally could have gone the same route without guidance strengthens their connection. Not only that but Gentle and La Brava are in totality the most wholesome and best couple of this entire series. Im just spewing out random shit at this point but Gentle is and will always be one of the best boys and he deserves to shine and have his hero moment! Im so glad the animation did this scene justice.

Ever since season 4, I have been waiting for these two to redeem themselves by doing something amazing, and by gosh, they did! I will say that stopping and the entire island from falling was impressive. That shot from Nagant was just gorgeous, like, it came from the mainland.
Gentle and la brava are both made to look older and younger then they really are respectively to reference American comics where you'd have an older character with a young sidekick. However they are both adults with gentle in hisb30's and la brava in her 20's. Gentle looks old cause his hair is naturally white and la brava is short. Also it's never actually confirmed if they have romantic or platonic love for each other as we never see them do anything more physically romantic then hug. So their relationship can be read in whichever way a person wants or feels comfortable with, all that matters is that they love each other a lot.
Gentle and La Brava are proof that Midoriya's path as a Hero can work. he fought them to a standstill and delivered his ideology to them in order to make them reevaluate their own path, AND THEY ACTUALLY CHANGED. there might be irredeemable monsters in this world, but there are also those who simply fell onto the wrong track in life and need someone to snap them back to the right one. i firmly believe Twice is another example of this, but he was simply in the wrong place fighting the wrong person. if Twice had been face-to-face with Midoriya instead of Hawks i SINCERELY believe there is a chance that we could've gotten through to him, with the only doubt being his love for Toga and his dreams with the League. as for the Sad Man's Parade no there is no limit, the only limit is the 30-40 minutes she said she had to use it. that is exactly why Hawks decided to kill Twice: it's simply too fucking dangerous to allow an infinite number of enemies onto the battlefield in ANY circumstance. it's up there with Kurogiri's Warp for top quirks for disruption in battle ALSO HUGE SHOUTOUTS TO HOT SEXY SNIPER WOMAN FOR LANDING THOSE HITS FROM LITERALLY MILES AWAY BRO SHE'S THE BEST
Iirc La Brava has the condition that doesn't let your body grow to normal maturity(I don't remember what it is called) and that was part of her sad backstory that led to her being a shut in, becoming a hacker, and basically being a villian to a light degree because she was so inspired by Gentle. Its been a couple years since that episode but I seem to recall that was the story behind her extremely small size.

Of course, Bones couldn’t use the group’s name or song, so Skeptic said “THE Pump” dance, which is what the kitties on the screen were doing. Da Pump used that dance in their music video. I’m glad Skeptic got wrecked!! Also, another fun fact: us manga readers had to live with Bakugo being “dead” FOR A FREAKING YEAR AND SOME MONTHS before we found out his ultimate fate. I’m praying hard that they don’t do something similar for the anime, but it was PAIN!

Yeah, La Brava is just a dwarf (she’s like 3’ 7) but she is 22 and if I remember correctly met as adults too. As a woman, almost 30 and mistaken for a teen because I’m petite with a more athletic build, it’s rough out here being a tiny adult woman. 😔

Toga copying his technique meant she can have her clones make clones which made her exponentially explode with copies and was the reason why her eating his blood was such a big deal.

For a villain to get redemption, they need to either have been forced into their circumstances or shown some signs of remorse. Dabi is neither one, he actively chooses to do evil just to spite Endeavor, intentionally targeting those that had nothing to do with his suffering. Redemption was off the table as soon as he said, "I've killed over 30 innocent people."
