Not sure if this is canon or not, but since the ferrymen use knowledge of their past life to improve their ferries, the ferryman’s corpse we took the rocket launcher off of could’ve been made by him to defend himself from other ferrymen.
Yeah and v1’s the only machine to heal from bleeding, some of this is just outright wrong, he also says humanity dies in the last war but he forgets about the new peace. It’s not clear how humanity meets its end

@@ricky2012100 in the ARG there was a hidden message which explained that Hell itself was alive and started taking control of the machines and technology that were in it
The guy in the message then says that they should cancel the hell expeditions before Hell found a way to reach the surface, which implies that the machine uprising might have came from Hell

@@ricky2012100 Machines DO heal from blood, I think-they just can't collect it simply by soaking themselves in it mid-battle like V1 can. They have to manually extract it and refuel themselves.

Love how far hakita goes to explain all the batshit game mechanics, my man could have easily skipped all of these explanations but he decided to go full sci-fi on us and its awesome.
Still, waiting for the explanation on how sanded enemies trigger rocketlauncher explosions if they dont bleed.
my theory is that the sand absorbs the blood, so when sand that has absorbed blood comes into contact with a rocket, it detonates
He’s even written the terminals and the point system into the lore too (you find these lore entries after the prime soul boss fights)

i think the initial rocket that hit the enemy goes deep enough to reach the blood inside of the enemy and the rocket explodes
well, i went into sandbox mode to see what the rocket looks like
i'm pretty sure the pointed tip of it is meant to stab deep into the enemies causing the rocket to collide with their blood.
so the rocket probably just goes fast enough with a sharp enough point to where it just ignores the sand
Fun fact, there was an picture made by the devs of V1. You can see weapon's outlines in the wings.

Yes that's how the triggering mechanism works but it still has explosive chemicals stored inside. If you ignite the chemicals in some other way, say by shooting it, it will explode.
I didn't even know about the 4 screws on the rail cannon dam the attention to detail

i like how the lore explicitly states that the nailgun and the railcannon were machine-made creations and yet you never seen an actual machine use them, meanwhile the shotgun was implied for human use and the only way you get it is through a machine

I want v1 lore, we know little abt him besides the obvious, that he's a war machine and has a twin that is the opposite in job. Sure he has technically no importance in the main story, but i want more than just that, more than just being a existence or side character that u play as instead of the main one, you know ?
He is the antagonist and Gabriel is the protragonist. Gabriel is there to react, evolve and travel. V1 is there to push Gabriel to his limits. , Besides defeating Gabriel and the prime souls, V1 hasnt done much to destroy hell. That is why Gabriel is the protagonist

@@dev4159 V1 is definitely the antagonist. Gabe is pretty much indisputably the protagonist, and his only real rivalry is with V1, who is actively pushing his character development by straining him to his absolute limits like no opponent could before

waiting for explanation on feedbacker... how the hell does it reflect entire masses of energy or even a massive undead fist without violating newtons third law, lest the feedbacker splits into a bunch of little pieces, not to mention that instead of breaking the projectile it sends it full force in the direction that the user wants, this means that the energy isnt coming from the projectile but rather the user, as to redirect the projectile in any direction you would need to either absorb all the projectiles energy without storing it in a flimsy metal arm or generate enough energy yourself to hit the projectile in atleast double the speed it was originally moving, when factoring in the weight of the projectile that becomes an insane feat, especially when the arm is quite literally just a bunch of metal and a joint, no strings attached
because its awesome, stylish and ridiculous
V1 is a math god he calculated that shit and taped a loop de loop to his arm to redirect the energy right back to the enemy

considering how experimental and insane V1's creation was compared to the other machines, leaving only a single model ever made that's more than enough to kill every other machine it ever meets, they probably have some advanced ass technology to reroute the momentum of an object in play. I mean, Mind Flayers can teleport, it's not the biggest stretch

i think of the ultrakill weapons as of biblical instruments of the passion of Christ or the Arma Christi
piercer revolver - lance of longinus
marksman revolver - 30 silver coins (converted to gold) that Judas paid to the guards
sharpshooter revolver - the dice with which soldiers were casting lots for Christ's seamless robe (not sure, the weapon's new)
shotgun - the symbol of numerous lacerations that were done on Christ's body
nailgun - the nails with which the jesus got pinned to the cross
sawblade launcher - the symbol of Christ's profession -- carpenter
rail gun - the hammer that was used to drive in the nails in the Jesus' palms and feet
rocket launcher - the ladder that was used to take off Christ's body off the cross (because you can ride the rockets)
feedbacker - the hand that gave Judas the money
knuckleblaster - the hand that slapped Jesus in the face
whiplash - the ropes that were used to lift up the cross

I dont feel like flakes of metal would be strong enough to deal the damage we see unless its moving at like 10% the speex of light. I’d say its a short but very powerful EM rail gun.
