Ocala National Forest is where I did my first ever backpacking trip! The 88 Store to Rodman Campground. Beautiful area!

So fun watching you guys..... But......I want to hike and I can't right now....arrrgh 👣. I've hiked Ocala several times. The springs are incredible. Stayed at Juniper Springs a couple time. 88 store is a great hangout. You can order pizza for delivery and camp right behind it.

💥400💥 So bogus the shelter peeps were loud. That's just trail etiquette 101. Beautiful hike. Rest them shoulders. ✌️

The Ocala Natl. Forest is one of my favorite parts of the FT. Alexander springs, Juniper Springs, Hidden Pond are all great places to cool off.

    Those springs though! Love it.

Wow, that's crazy that a National Forest campground on a long distance trail has a 2 night minimum! At least you got a shower though.

I'm glad you are doing this trail, and I can watch. Because I will never do this. Your AT and PCT tours are epic! Followed you on all. I'm the dude that declared you the official honorary Fla Girl. This is surely securing the title 😉 You are going for it.

Adventure Ocala runs several of the parks out there. It's crazy to have a 2 day min, but even crazier that they have a 2 tent max per site. Two cabin size tents take up much more space than (in my case 2 adults-3 kids) 4 backpack size tents

Has you go north the elevation goes up. You should see more dryer conditions. Thank you for sharing you journey ❤

There are some hills in the Keystone Heights area of Florida, some in Gainesville as well and a lot in Tallahassee.

In this area you are finding the natural spring water. You are getting into the more central Florida and yes the elevation changes.

Ha! Whenever I start watching footage (pun intended...) of your feet actually walking on the trail, I instinctively mistake the white sand for snow.... :) Love watching your channel and hiking adventures!!

YEY!!! You went through my favorite section... I have sectioned hiked from the Seminole State Forest at Black Water Creek Camp to Rodman Dam. Love that whole area! I am with the FTA Highlanders Chapter that maintains that section. 🙂 Hope you enjoyed it! Dana Happy Trails 🥾🥾🥾 PS The cal in Ocala is pronounced Cal like in California. 😉

400 miles 🎉Ocala national forest is a Florida treasure! The 88 store is a great pit stop in the Ocala national forest. They used to let hikers camp behind the store. Not sure if that’s still true.

That was a beautiful section of woods. All the little palm plants that you see most fall under the category of palmetto palms, thought you might like to know. Stay well and safe. Congrats on the 400.

Cool video, some parts looked like you were on the set of Gilligan's Island. Question, a lap top is too heavy to carry, what are you using to edit and send videos to you tube? Out in the sticks?

I saw that place before on the Flintstones. It's where Fred Flintstone lived. There are probably descendants of them nearby even today. Good job. Keep goin'.

I grew up in Ocala (the 60's-70's) and spent a lot of time recreating in the National Forest. The FT didn't have any significance back then even though it was essentially birthed in that area. I suspect this section may be one of best and I'd like to go back (I'm a native Tarheel back living in NC) and hike that section.

Was just waiting for someone in a t-Rex costume to jump out. Sweet scenery even if the trail is a soggy mess! 😇😂
Edit: today is -22C. I enjoy seeing the warm weather even if you aren’t enjoying being in it 🤷‍♂️😄
Thanks for showing the food. Rounds things out nice. That’s part of what one looks forward to when the trail gets hard. I feel better knowing y’all are getting enough calories.

Why don't you wear gaiters to keep the stuff out of your shoes? Might help with the blisters

Amazing how 5ft of elevation can keep your feet dry and 10ft feels like you're on a different trail...
