this guy knows how to use gimp, Photoshop, Inkscape and edits his own videos!?!? You are a true talent and the fact that you are sharing your knowledge to everyone is helping a bunch of people including myself!!!
He already uses OBS (who doesn't?) and now imagine if he is using Da Vinci Resolve to edit his videos and running Linux in his computer, he will have the ultimate combination of freeware for his profession.
Hey Nick! I would like to extend my gratitude to you and your channel. If it wasn't for your videos I would not be a designer today. I started with dabbling around illustrator with an old laptop, but really had problems with Adobe CC as it is too heavy for the specs. I then tried Inkscape, and that's when I discovered your tutorials, especially the inkscape explained playlist, where I fell in love with vectors and knew the basics (Paths, Boolean tools etc.) of any vector software out there. Now, I have been a web designer and brand identity for around 2 year, and I can say that your channel helped me a lot. Yes, I did get to borrow a Macbook from the small agency I am in, but again, the basics of vectors and photo manipulation tools remain the same. All I can say is i'm grateful for this channel and I hope you would inspire other aspiring designers as well. Kudos man! Cheers!
You're the best 😍😍 I'm not a graphic designer ... I was struggling for a month to create my own logo on canva . Thank you so much for this tutorial 🙏🙏🙏
I was able to replicate this logo without any issues ( 1st time gimp user) all due to your easy to follow and detailed step by step well paced walkthrough process. Definitely will watch as many of your videos in order to become familiar with GIMP and its working layout because planning to make own logo and thumbnail for my TH-cam channel. Thanks for making these videos.
Oh my god! Really? I was watching another video about this tecnique and you post a video about it, Nick? LOL! Amazing as always! I started to create content about GIMP in the last weeks and I'm trying to post twice per week. You are my inspiration as always and I really like how you continue to grow up your knowledge. Thank you very much for teaching us! You are the best!
@@LogosByNick Thank you, Nick! I'm studying some way to grow a little more the channel. I don't know if you made something "special" to do it but I think it's only hard work and patient.
Hi Nick. I just want to thank you for the Black Friday bundle special for all of your courses. Right at this time, I'm enjoying and learning your logo academy course. Thank you again.
Your tutorial is a masterpiece. Your wealth of knowledge in this field speaks for its self, and you know how to pass your Logo Design knowledge to a beginner like me.I am starting from the scratch using your tutorials for my reference points.I admire your Logo Designs.
Nick, the first video I watched from your channel is creating the lightning bolt logo in 2017. Since then, I've binge watched all of your Inkscape series, and I have been able to do a lot of things by knowing how to do graphic design. Thank you for creating all these videos, without your channel, my life would have looked very different. Since then, you've also expanded on to GIMP. Which I really liked, because these are free softwares available for anyone to use. I have an idea which can take your channel to the next level: motion graphics using Fusion inside Resolve 16, this would be a good choice because Resolve is powerful yet free, there is a lot to be gained here. Good luck!
I love your work ! I’m just messing around using GIMP, and I try to create my own images as I follow along your tutorials. Of course you have advanced artistic and professional skills that make your images look really much better than mines, but you drop so much knowledge and make it so accessible to use it.. great videos man !
Great video! Thx! Please add video how to create the effect of text applied to a surface with giving this text texture of this surface as on the splash screen for this video.
Thanks for the tutorial! Is there any particular reason you wouldn't do this using layer masks? Because that would probably be my first reflex. Is it just because it's not necessary to do it that way in this case or is there an important reason why using layer masks here would actually be a bad idea?
I was just looking through your videos hoping you had a video about this logo design. I had to figure it out on my own Haha but you always make it so easy
Nick, have you already made a tutorial on how to apply a metalic finish to Lettering as well as how to apply lettering to a textured background, Both these appear in the thumbnail for this video. Please advise
Hi @logosByNick I just purchased your business bundle from your website and downloaded all the zip file and extracted them on my laptop So I need your assistance I wanted to know how can I edit those Logos with GIMP or Inkscape
Sorry if this is answered in another video. I just can not seem to find it. Silly question... Could I bug you for the link to the GIMP Theme you are using? Hi Nick, i have to thank you once again for your efforts and sharing. respect Do you know how to open EPS files in gimp or inkscape on retaining layers? I have installed Ghostscript that opens files but images are flatten. many thanks
Hey Nick, I need help with Inkscape. When two gradient handles are nearby, if one of the nodes in a handle gets too close to the other handle's node, they just combine together and are apparently inseparable. This makes it very difficult to have different gradients for stroke and fill of a shape. How do I fix it? Thanks!
hello I have a question. When the gradient ball moves, the light remains constant. I wonder if you can help me. I made a ball clearly and gave a light on it. but when they shrink all of them, the light does not play, it stays in place. thanks
Excellent tutorial as usual Nick. Thanks so much for all your great tutorials. On a side note...Photoshop CS2 is available for download legally for those who want it. Here is the link I got it from.
