Oh how I love every issue of Meadow Afternoon ❤🍓. The cross stitch segment was my favourite as it's a hobby I enjoy myself. I have wild strawberries in my sheffield garden. I usually pull them up as they tend to grow like weeds, but I might plant some in a pot for next year and see how they grow. I love the detail and work that goes into your journal. ✨️ Thanks, Ida. 😊
Another lovely video, thank you. I especially liked the advice about using alcohol markers, I’ll be practicing using your tips. The fruit tarts looked delicious, I haven’t made the custard ones before so will have to give them a go. Looking forward to the next video as there is so much in them that inspires me 😊
I draw my own as well but there's also something nice and relaxing about colouring in pre-drawn illustrations. I don't need to think about anything other than picking colours. It's nice to mix things up every now and then 🌿

I'm feeling under the weather today and I'm sure some of your fruit tarts are just the medicine I need - where can I order an oven-warm batch of them 😉🧡 I've always wanted to try my hand at cross stitching too, but somehow never got around to it - this was just the inspiration and motivation I needed to give it a go, as you make it look like a fun and relaxing activity! Hello Nessa, Sorry to hear you are not feeling well, I hope you're on the mend now. I would happily send over a batch of tarts but I think the postal service may make a mess of them :) I personally find cross stitching really relaxing - it's like doing a jigsaw puzzle, filling on all the colours with thread. What sort of design would you like to work on? Have a lovely Sunday as well.
I thoroughly enjoyed each segment especially the cross stitch as that is the medium that I also use. We are currently in peach season so I intend to bake something tart based on your strawberry theme.
I am very glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for your kind comment. I don't have a recipe out yet for the pastry dough but it was an olive oil pastry. You combine white flour, a pinch of salt, a bit of sugar (depending on how sweet you like your pastry), a dash of water and then add olive oil, a little bit at a time and combine until the mixture forms into a dough. I hope that's helpful 🍓🍓🍓

The turnips were more than a little addictive. I had to force myself to stop at three - I wanted to keep going :)

My sister gave me for my birthday a couple of years ago Ohuhu brush pens, I like that they're soft and ink doesn't bleed.

I usually draw my own illustrations. But coloring the prints looks so relaxing ❤ Maybe I will try it one day...

Oh a peach tart sounds yummy. I enjoy having a cross stitch pattern on the go, it's really relaxing 😊
