I’ve seen Werster lose because his attacks keep missing. I’ve seen him lose because the opponent keeps getting crits or landing OHKO moves. But I never though I’d see him lose because his opponent kept missing.
who could believe that would actually be the worst kind of lose? i mean, unless you count facing a shedinja with no moves to hit it and no option to retire. not sure if that can happen.
Wait, once i saw him losing the run because he missed so many Thunders that by the end of the game he didnt have any Ether/Elixir, and he needed em to keep going, he had missed so many times that he didnt took that % to heart, in his mindset he still had enough PP, no one was supposed to fail so many times, not even him, he failed at least 60% of the Thunders on that run of HeartGold, at least 30/50 from a 70% acc move, it was some years ago, i dont know why he didnt make that a "Pokemoment" must have something to do with him just turning off the stream without saying anything, it wasnt even funny, it was sad.
Even with that run not being a wr potential BY A LONG SHOT (THX THUNDER) i still think its a worse case lose scenario than the Shedinja in battle tower, or this one mostly because Wobbuffet while being effective its a shitty strat that can fail a lot, its just askin for the shit to please hit the fan IMO
That actually happened man - he met shedinja in his All Gold Symbols run with only 1 pokemon left and no moves to kill it so he had to reset the game and start from his save, i pretty sure it was in Tower Gold segment.
Werster has taken it up the backside by RNG for years, but this one is out of this world. He is granted the most insane run ever, to get absolutely obliterated by Claire. I just wanna sum it all up: -3 Hydro pump misses when only 1 needed to hit. -Multiple Headbutts to get chip damage and waste time. -Switches into Rhydon which proceeds to put Wobbuffet in range of Pump. -Hits the only pump that kills. -Kingdra misses yet another game winning pump on Voltorb, wastes another turn with headbutt. -Unnecessary Selfdestruct crit to add salt. -Dragonair uses Outrage, get's through Paralysis twice AND does so 1 more time, but with added confusion, to top it off. My sincere condolences dude. It's rough out there.
@@worldsboss my calculations show the odds are 0.008%, or 1 in 12500, not even counting the crit or headbutts, just the results of hydro pumps and para/confuse. Its absurd.
Plot twist: The Announcer is the one calling all the shots and deliberately rigs the battle to whatever he finds amusing at the moment. Thank god his voice is so glorious, I'd actually would be mad otherwise if he was getting his jollies off to our collective suffering.
That actually might be true, because there are cases where the announcer seems to have some psychic power to predict what's going to happen. If an attack will end the match if it hits, he'll always say something like "Will this decide it?" during the attack's animation, so you know it's guaranteed to kill if it doesn't miss. And he can always tell when a Pokemon has survived a hit, even while the HP is still draining. Yeah, I think your theory is right.
Clair saw Werster as her opponent and commands Kingdra to miss the Hydro Pump on Wobbuffet on purpose and used Headbutt to lower Wobbuffet HP in hope Werster kept using Mirror Coat. Later, finished it off with 100% acc Hydro Pump this time. Troll strats. Elegiggle
I think the odds of missing 4/5 Hydro Pumps (0.2^4) is a 0.16% chance of happening. Same shit happened to me with my Muk's Gunk Shot in Ultra Sun not too long ago so you have my condolences.
It's astonishing how Werster's astronomical bad luck turns into the best luck you have ever seen at the exact moment it puts him in the worst possible position
Hmm. Hydro Pump has a 20% chance of missing, or 1/5. 5x5 is 25, x5 is 125, x5 is 625, that give you 4/625, rounded down is 1/156. Unless I did it wrong. How did you come up with 7.5%?
In all the Pokémon Stadium 2 videos I watched on your TH-cam channel Werster, I never seen Clair have her Kingdra missed hydro pumps that often! That never happens in the johto gym leader castle! Man RNG hates you so much!
Omfg funny story related to this video. I just did a 1 Pokemon Run on my Emerald, after finishing and moved on to the battle frontier. I did an open level Single Pokemon Challenge and it had Blastoise with Hydro Pump and it was the only good pokemon with these moves. First battle begins it was a Magmar. I said "EZ" i spammed HydroPump And can you believe. Out of the 5. Only 4 misses and 1 attacked. Magmar was just spamming Flamethrower had 2 CRITS LEAVING ME WITH ONLY 38 HP. NOW AT THE LAST HYDROPUMP IT FINALLY MANAGE to hit this stupid Magmar. and then we move on to the next pokemon. Took 4 minutes to go through the nightmare. I know how you feel Werster..
Well, I don't know how often the AI switches, but missing 3 Hydro Pumps in a row is 0.8%. It's twice as likely as a Gen 1 miss, or two consecutive critical hits.
I dont know how you got 0.8% but i thank you, i took the moveset thing into the equation, and i got a silly 0.6%... 0.6%! Not the chances of missing 3 Hydro pumps, but the chances of everything that happened, happening, in this exact same way.
I'm going into the comments only to find four comments. Fifth? Nah, probably closer to 50th. Whatever, TH-cam is drunk every other video the notification squads find.

I can see *_Clair_*-ly now the run is gone.
Why is the Rum gone?
I was working on a project with Twitch in the background. I knew this was going to be a clip once I heard it.
She missed 4 out of 5 Hydro Pumps! I've never seen that happen in my life. My condolences.
Meanwhile, Red's Pikachu nails Werster with Thunder ten times in a row. The man is straight up cursed or something.
These are daily events in competitive.
There's a reason why it is called Hydro Miss in Competitive Scenes.
*The white hot battle continues*
I always feel a sense of schadenfreude when watching Werster's Pokémon videos.
Truth is: The game was rigged from the start.
That's why we come back every time

Well played, Clair. It took some phenomenal strategy to win that one... :P
Clair and her Dragon Pokémon!

Aww look at you, expecting a Pokemon game to be fair!
That's just adorable!

Only Werster could lose because his opponent was too unlucky.
It's astonishing how Werster's astronomical bad luck turns into the best luck you have ever seen at the exact moment it puts him in the worst possible position
In other words that Clair just won a lottery
Clair: That's that. lmao
What you’d expect? She wants revenge.
I bet that ppl could make an hour long video of just Werster being in absolute rage mode.xD
Make that a whole day, then it'd be a good start
Clair, the bringer of despair...
So, Clair is Werster's new rival, then? Interesting.
Barely a minute into the video and we're already on some serious bullshit.
Is indeed Werster.
The level of hax I've seen you go through is unreal.
These videos are still funny to this day.

Came to this chanel for pokemon, stayed for salt. Delicious.
It all has to come crashing down at some point, doesn't it.
This was just.....cruel
The one time we want Hydro Pump to hit, it fucking misses 🤣
Werster acting like Hydro Pump has 90% accuracy instead of 80 lol
Still means it has higher chance of hitting more . As opposed to 1/5.
Should hit 4/5 times then
Yes then it should, but it isn't 90, it's 80. Which makes it not that extraordinary to miss a couple times in a row.
