The PPSH in COD WW2 is fine. In real life Germans did use captured Russian PPSH-41s and even used them against American soldiers. Another fun fact about the PPSH is that .30 Mauser (the round that the C96 pistol uses) will work in a PPSH, since .30 Mauser and 7.62x25 are so dimensionally similar. Germans would frequently put the weaker .30 Mauser ammo in PPSHs because they had plenty of that ammo in their supply lines. The weaker .30 Mauser ammo would slow down the rate of fire of the PPSHs down to around 700 RPM, just like in Cod WW2.
@@Voucher765 Yes, the Germans loved the M1 Carbine because they didn't have any rifle that was nearly that light. The Germans had their own designations for numerous allied weapons that they would capture and use.
COD treats .50 BMG like you're getting hit by it from 10 miles away or something. 50 BMG at close range will cut probably through 3 plates like toilet paper.
The PPSH did make *some* sense in COD WW2 because the Germans did capture and reuse many weapons HOWEVER there were an unrealistic amount of soviet weapons in the hands of Wehrmacht soldiers on the western front throughout COD WW2. In reality there certainly weren’t as many (if any at all) PPSHs and SVTs used on the western front as there are seen to be used in the COD campaign. The first time you encounter a PPSH is actually on D-Day in COD WW2 and it’s found in a pair of two soldiers armed with the SMG on the beach which doesn’t seem realistic and the frequency at which you encounter these weapons throughout the campaign is also unrealistic but German troops DID in fact use many captured allied weapons and machinery on both fronts of the war in Europe.
I mean they were literally fighting the Soviet Union on one front, and the allied forces on the other, kind of like how we were fighting Germany on one side then had the Pacific theater going on with Japan.
They took a bunch of firearms from the Soviets, czechs, poles, and used them as behind the lines use, sometimes even being given German designations and even new German firearms came from their designs
Most of the weapons and uniforms in BO1 are from the 70s and 80s(except the FAMAS variant in the game is from the early 2000s...) to the point that I think it was originally supposed to be set in the 80s and they changed to the 60s after a lot of development had been completed.

Black Ops 1 has anachronism written all over it. You start off in the Bay of Pigs invasion with an M16 + grenade launcher attachment. Neither were in official military service in 1961, not even for Special Operatives. The Soviet Mi-23 helicopter appears in one of the escape missions(set in 1968) in Vietnam, a helicopter that deubuted IRL in 1972.
The ppsh was actually used quite a bit by the germans during WW2. evil mustang man really like the gun and had many of the converted to 9mm for his army
Ive actually shot both versions of the Tommy gun, the thing that makes it obvious its the A1 version is the iron sights, since the M1928 has a round iron sight on the rear, which for some reason is on this gun, but it uses the M1928 Iron sights which is a V iron sight on the rear like shown in the game, just carved into the round iron sight above it
@sirspoonkm. why? It was the final ar to be unlocked, inaccuracies include the fact it never had an iron sight and came with sight attached as the developers thought they could not achieve decent accuracy with irons. The development started in 68 and carried on to the 80's and the platform itself was never brought into service
Yeah but they got a lot right. The fact it loads disposable cartridges, the three round burst and the way you twist to chamber a round. One of the later black ops completely botched it with a box magazine and 5.56 ammo

3:04 then when you said germans would drop PPsh's, that is a fact. After Operation Barborossa happened and the germans invaded the soviet union, very often would some SS and Heer divisions take PPsh's and use them along Frances coast, or the fields, etc. My favorite example is a photo of a german sniper holding an SVT-40, as well as the soldier in the ditch beside him holding a PPsh, mind you, the photo was taken right before Operation Varsity in 1945 in Belgium
My favorites are the vanguard weapons JUST because of the attachments You can use an M1 garand with a 40 round drum mag, which still gives you the *PING* There were magical thibgs you could put on your gun, like a muzzle to 2x the fire rate,a supressor and ammo type to nerf it down till a DMR level,or you could put on a silencer and a bayonet on any weapon at the same time.
In regards to the thompson, the m1928 / earlier version of the thompson has the charging handle on the top. The refined variant of the gun, the thompson m1a1 (The ww2 era design) moved the charging handle over to the side how it’s portrayed in the video. I think this was done to improve aiming, since I sliding slamming charging handle at the top of the gun can be distracting. However towards the end of the Second World War it became clear the thompson as a whole was unnecessarily expensive to manufacture and this is where the grease gun (I believe it’s specific designation is the m3) began to see rapid production and usage. The grease gun began to be the favorable combat weapon since users found its recoil and fire rate much more manageable, and the cost was much lower. The grease gun would later see use in the Vietnam war, as many WW2 weapons did.
The Streetsweeper (BOCW) There was never a fully automatic version of the Armsel Striker and it would probably have been impossible to convert it. The "Street Sweeper" variant IRL wasn't made until 1989, years after the game takes place, and it's outstanding feature was an automatic spring-powered reloading system like the Striker in MW2 has. 1:51 You use the stripper clip to incert ammo into your rifle by pushing down onto the bullets, into the internal magazine, and the stripper clip is discarded, there's 2 components, the stripper clip which is usually a skinny aluminum or brass slit the length of a pinky, and the ammo, which have grooves down the bottom of the casing that clings to the clip, the absolute best comparison is like a conveyor belt
The FG42's is FAR more of a slight, especially considering the WAW FG42 shot decently fast enough. I remember unlocking it in WWII and wondering why it shot so slow.

It's core was that of an aircraft version of the Browning 1919 machine gun, which gave it an insane rate of fire which you can see with reconstructions of the weapon. Fun fact!: in almost EVERY CoD game with a Thompson they always get the reload wrong. The Thompson is an OPEN bolt SMG meaning you need to open the bolt before putting in the mag, otherwise the mag won’t go in.
3:04 The Germans captured a large number of PPSH during WW2. The Wehrmacht officially adopted the converted PPSH as the MP-41(r). The unconverted PPSh-41s were designated "MP717(r)" and supplied with 7.63×25mm Mauser ammunition. 10:49 They pushed the MG15 into infantry services also you forgot how cod WW2 ruined the MG42 with its abysmal firerate
3:04 Germans did capture a lot of PPSh's on Eastern Front, so them Dropping PPSh's in Normandy is plausible. Plus the fact that unit that defended the Omaha beach was 352nd infantry division, which was mostly composed of Eastern Front vets who were transfered to france for Light Duty/R&R, so it's very much plausible that they brought their captured PPSh's with them, as well as many other weapons, due to the fact that they suffered from Weapons shortages up to the June 6th.
You are right about the Tommy gun from ww2. I honestly just started fully using it and do extremely well with it actually. It's accuracy is what kills me sometimes though with that fire rate. 👍
The FG42s stats really should’ve been swapped with the M1941 since the latter was capable of having a super slow rate of fire. Plus the later pattern FG42 was closer to 750-850 RPM.
There were Ost troops who were stationed in garrisons behind the front lines or in quiet sectors. They captured so much ppsh during operation babarossa that a whole stockpile was sent to France. American captured loads of them during D-day. German know to use box magazine on ppsh rather than soviet drum mag (unreliable)
Near the end of the war, the Germans were using captured weapons like the PPsj 41 power converted to 9 mm Luger as they were losing the ability to create new submachine guns due to ally bombing
How about the Bren Gun in WWII because SHG made it have a slow ROF and painfully slow reload for a magazine fed weapon compared to its RL counterpart that fired faster and easy and quick to reload. That and for some reason SHG never put the Browning M1919 in the game.
You also could have included the Cod WW2 MG-42 which fires at about 600+ rpm instead of the blazing fast 1,200 rpm like in real life. The Machine Pistol is another one that is inaccurate since while it did exist, the Cod WW2 version lacks the selector switch for semi and full auto fire, and it fires at around 700 or so rpm instead of 900 to 1,000 rpm like the real life one does.
i mean the actual rifles in cod ww2 seem pretty historically accurate. the mosin has a PU scope, the 1903 has the right scope, and the k98 does too. the stripper clip thing is obviously just a gameplay thing and isn’t historically inaccurate it’s just not possible for those specific rifles with a scope. so they’re not historically inaccurate, just mechanically inaccurate.
1:48 this part isn’t really inaccurate as most rifles have a double stack internal magazine and that means you can have the cartridge beside each other without having to make the internal magazine longer hence why the body of the gun is shorter than the stripper clip

Bruh how could you forget the m4/m16 in almost every call of duty. There has been a problem with the historical accuracy of that gun in EVERY COD
Nice unique video Chaos would love to see more! 👍
Spas 12 from bo1, didn’t enter production until 79, and the suppressor
Day 8 of asking Jimmy or Chaos to rank every specialist (bo3, bo4, infinite warfare)
That would be a good video!!!
And for the Famas it use the Felin models. This was developed in the 2000 and use in 2010
i mean the actual rifles in cod ww2 seem pretty historically accurate. the mosin has a PU scope, the 1903 has the right scope, and the k98 does too. the stripper clip thing is obviously just a gameplay thing and isn’t historically inaccurate it’s just not possible for those specific rifles with a scope. so they’re not historically inaccurate, just mechanically inaccurate.
The Kar 98k used a double stack internal magazine so the stipper clip would be longer than the chamber and bolt
You could make an entire video about exclusively Vanguard.
BO6 L85: never jams
1:48 this part isn’t really inaccurate as most rifles have a double stack internal magazine and that means you can have the cartridge beside each other without having to make the internal magazine longer hence why the body of the gun is shorter than the stripper clip
Please revamp the Jimmy or chaos top 10 best ARs in cod history and smg please Jim would love to see your picks again
Bro confuse inaccurate and history inaccurate as the same topic💀
1: Almost every gun in Black Ops 1
