Nice studio you fixed up there. The monitor behind you on the right kept distracting me from what you was talking about though. It actually made me miss some of what you were showing on the apps and I had to rewind a couple of times.
Do what you want and the monitor may not even be there anymore but I would at least not put it on a slide show.

Cool video Stephen I could have done with the three little words app when I broke my leg in a park and it took them nearly 6 hours for them to find me

Good choices Stephen although I have an android phone. I couldn't get the same geolocation app and runkeeper seemed to be the same sort of thing as Tect o Trak without the ability to record finds. Not that it matters, we all have our preferences. As a result I've got the St Johns app, the tide tables and what 3 words apps installed so a worthwhile informative video. Thank you for sharing 😀😀

Your results with run keeper same as mine, I grided a 50yd by 3yd strip and walked it across the narrow dimension, plot is all over the place. It is not accurate or fast enough to cope with rapid change of direction. By the time you have changed from e-w to w-e, you have changed back to w-e again so it draws a line from last known pint to current one , hence a mess. btw my android version of your 1st choice is "save location" you can save gps position with notes , then recall one or more and pull up a satellite view of the tags, ie if you notes say hammered you could just show all the hammered you found in that field
Although I'm seeing plenty of magnifying glass apps available. I could tell that the one with the highest one (4.8) was reviews by either their own workers or people they know. Too many of the reviews were worded the same 😂

I would love an app that could identify a coin. Nice vid.
They do exist, but every one of them I have tried failed with dug up coins or old hammered / roman etc

I see you had artifact tracker on you screen and that was last year. What did you think of it and how cane we improve it? I recently updated it to work world wide. And we will be running on android in a few months.

@@TheManWithTheHat I wish I did. I don't know why there are not more females into this hobby. It's not due to physical work. Women garden and that is just as hard. Maybe we don't take enough time for our hobbies. My best friend has no interest in it. I can't figure it out!

Hey Stephen , hoping you are well. I enjoyed the apps the Magnifier and RunKeeper are excellent tools foe shur. I want to recommend one of my favorite apps for importing old maps and using them to find old home sites that have been long since lost. It is MAPRIKA, originally designed for ski resorts, but easily adaptable to our hobby. You can take a picture of a Map in an atlas and bring that image into the app. Then using 2 or more anchor points then you can use your GPS to walk the Map of 1877 or the Map of 1942. Really useful App for finding old roads that have been abandoned in modern times or other landmarks, home sites , etc etc . Have a great weekend my friend and remember to smell the clovers! Hello there!
Im going to try to see if any of these work on my MOTO phone. I don't usually have my data open all the time. But some of these will be good for when I find a spot to hunt, I can save it and then get the spot back at a later date. I like the walking one. I cycle and this will help me see my route and know where I am. I will pass this on to others that detect that I know. #coinringhatgiveaway

@@TheManWithTheHat it's just had usual updates but know big changes I've used it about 4 times and found it easy. You can take pics at location only once did it take about 1 minute to find my location but feel that was due to phone.
You get grid references as well and where you have walked stopped and dug.

I would love to go to uk and go detecting its on my to do list. I like your video's alot. I know you use XP detectors i have ons to but my lady always takes the xp deus when we go so i use my Nokta Anfibio or my minelab equinox 800. Do you use other brands? #coinhatgiveaway
