I lived in Brooklyn. NYC shaped the core of who I was as a young man. I experienced my first real long term relationship there, my first real job, my first college. The lyrics just hit me in a way that only someone who’s lived, loved, and lost in the city would understand. Even if you haven’t, you’re almost certain to feel that soft fire of a memory of a really important time in your life. Whatever that may be. Thank you, Midnight, for bringing back memories of a very real time for me ❤️🩹❤️🔥
This is my all-time favorite song from The Midnight. It's soft, and warm, and wistful. It reminds me of when I lived in Chicago, walking through the loop in the evening snow.
Ah to be young again, when you truly believed that everything could be solved with enough love and hope... I like Monsters, but I keep returning to this song. The hope in the lyrics is why we keep moving forward. Beautiful.
How do I say thank you for this song? I visited my best friend for the first time in 10 years in the height of the pandemic. We went for a night drive into the Texan countryside, playing the new album. I saw the Milky Way for the first time with her by my side and felt humbled by everything all at once as the warm winds rustled our hair. Then we drove back to our rental, and she didn't know, but I recorded us belting out the lyrics--"we'll just buy CHEAPER WINE," so loud and off-key. Now I watch it back and just cry at how lucky I am to have such a sterling memory I can carry with me for the rest of my life even when everything else feels so heavy and crushing. And I'm so very grateful to The Midnight for it.
This song reminds me of her. We met one day at a friend's house and almost instantly felt something. I asked her out she agreed and together we spent the most beautiful 48 hours possible. I wanted to hold her hand as we walked on the beach at night, as the orange shore lights rained down on us beneath an open starry sky. I have loved her every single moment since the day I saw her. Unfortunately, things did not turn out in favor of us. But I still miss her to this day and reminisce about that night together. I guess I have to move on.
I really like this song. To me, it feels like two people fundamentally unhappy with their living situation, but trying desperately to hang on because they love each other. There's hope mixed with melancholy that I think a lot of us can relate to.
This song is really growing on me. Of all the songs on Monsters, this one makes me feel nostalgic for time past and hopeful for the future at the same time.
“And hang on to see if whether, constellations hold together, or not” What a great line and an altogether amazing song. Loving this album. Prom night and deep blue are my 2 favourites so far, but haven’t heard it all yet. You guys are just killing it time after time. Thank you!
A few months back I was searching for something about midnight and this band popped up. I first played "Los Angeles" and instantly loved it. I couldn't believe music like this existed and I just didn't know about it. I can totally relate to this song. I play it all the time. Magical, Nostalgic, surreal.
There's certain things in life that we all experience that are hard to come to terms with whether its good or bad but sometimes music can take you to a place were you csn just relax for those few moments and just relax and enjoy the moment your in i think this song is one of them
About to see my best friend again for the first time in ten years. She introduced me to the Midnight, and now they're my favorite band. This song feels like it was written just for us and our trip. Thank you. It means everything.
Some really good writing in this song: “and hang on to see if whether constellations hold together or not.” Nothing lasts forever. Not our homes, our cars, our lives, or even the stars. Millions of eons will pass and constellations as we know them today will not exist. For the stars will have moved and distanced themselves from the patterns we see them in today. The singer is devoting this amount of time to his love. And for us, that’s forever.
Don't know why I'm typing this on this particular song but anyone can fell down and be at its lowest in life. Battling depression, one day I found Midnight. This is not music, this is something much more ! it mend my soul, it gave me hope, that everything will be alright. Listening for months, every day , I consider myself now cured and in parts this is thanks to Midnight's music. I'm grateful that you guys and girls exist !
I absolutely love THE MIDNIGHT and all their songs strike a cord with me ie sunset , comeback kid , synthetic but this track is so beautiful so loving and full of feel good vibes and its exactly what this world needs right now but irrespective of that they are just BOSS at their craft may they be around forever and forever
His voice has a... unique color if colors may describe sound... Everytime I hear it, it feels like the first time I've ever heard it, yet so familiar like I've known it for centuries if not millenniums...
This song is...my reality. Pandemic year...a society and beliefs that hang by thin wires. My wife and me. Buying cheaper wine so we can pay rent...waiting to see if our lives will hold together or not in this new reality...with firm belief that things will get better. Her bday this month. Thank you Midnight. Thank you. Your music has changed my life giving me that absolute smile, the luxury of crying remembering and at the same time laughing and thinking of a future that one day will be a remembrance. Your music has been inspiring, powerful and a much needed boost in these hard times. Thank you.

This year has been awful so thank you for bringing me joy
Been awful for all of us...Nice to have this music to destress.
I just can't stress enough how beautiful and comforting this song is.
Thank you, Midnight, for bringing back memories of a very real time for me ❤️🩹❤️🔥
never been there, but i missed living in Brooklyn 😊😉❤️
The way he releases his breath at the beginning was made my day
This is my all-time favorite song from The Midnight. It's soft, and warm, and wistful. It reminds me of when I lived in Chicago, walking through the loop in the evening snow.
I come here every f day....
What a beautiful voice
What a beautiful song
What a beautiful music
What a beautiful band.
Thank you so much The Midnight
Words are not enough to express the feeling... Midnight thank you so much
When words fail to describe, music begins to speak!

SO TRUE
You are awesome friend!!! 😃😄 beautiful memories is what it’s all about!! Keep smiling and keep living! ✌️
Hey buddy glad to see a bong
This is a song that would play when you are in a mall with Jennifer Connelly in the 80's and then end the night with a night drive together.
that's it.
Jennifer Connelly 💙✨ ..... Sounds like perfect moment
A night drive through New York City.

I really like this song. To me, it feels like two people fundamentally unhappy with their living situation, but trying desperately to hang on because they love each other. There's hope mixed with melancholy that I think a lot of us can relate to.
“When the rent’s too high, we’ll just buy cheaper wine” is desperation and hope and defiance and love wrapped up in one beautiful, tragic line.
We need more music like this. Straight from the soul.
This song is really growing on me. Of all the songs on Monsters, this one makes me feel nostalgic for time past and hopeful for the future at the same time.
To everyone of you who's in love with synthwave, I'm happy for you. Having found The Midnight was the best accident I've ever had and ever will be.
Easily the best song I've heard in the past few years.
I can’t get over this tune. Beautiful stuff, thanks guys 🙏🏻
My soul is relaxed listening to this
“And hang on to see if whether, constellations hold together, or not”
What a great line and an altogether amazing song.
Soo obsessed with it 😭❤
❤me too 😢
Some really good writing in this song:
“and hang on to see if whether constellations hold together or not.”
Nothing lasts forever.
I'm grateful that you guys and girls exist !
billions of people are not gonna find this music💔 that just hurts on whole new level
ENJOY IT FRIEND 😃 and share and spread the word! Don’t hurt!
The heavy breathing at the beginning always remind to take a deep breath, and relieves much...
The privilege of being among the few people in the world who have good taste in music
True
So mellow.
Los Angeles is my favourite song from The Midnight.
When, the topic of the song is a location, I feel like they just pour their hearts out.
Might be my favorite song in the world
I absolutely love THE MIDNIGHT and all their songs strike a cord with me ie sunset , comeback kid , synthetic but this track is so beautiful so loving and full of feel good vibes and its exactly what this world needs right now but irrespective of that they are just BOSS at their craft may they be around forever and forever
this song was Me and my gf favourite song but sadly she doesn't love me anymore and broke up with me 😖😖😖 life is uncertain fr
His voice has a... unique color if colors may describe sound... Everytime I hear it, it feels like the first time I've ever heard it, yet so familiar like I've known it for centuries if not millenniums...
Best song on the album hands down. This is one of their best songs ever!
This actually made me cry, I love it, favorite track in the album
Same. This song has gotten me so much in my feels over a lost love, or maybe something I thought was love :)
The Synth Gods have blessed us.
i finally listened to this live in mizoram aizawl i am so happy
This song is...my reality. Pandemic year...a society and beliefs that hang by thin wires. My wife and me. Buying cheaper wine so we can pay rent...waiting to see if our lives will hold together or not in this new reality...with firm belief that things will get better. Her bday this month. Thank you Midnight. Thank you. Your music has changed my life giving me that absolute smile, the luxury of crying remembering and at the same time laughing and thinking of a future that one day will be a remembrance. Your music has been inspiring, powerful and a much needed boost in these hard times. Thank you.
Wish her Happy Birthday for me. May you guys be blessed with brighter days and sunshine on the road ahead. Live long and peaceful.
I cannot understand how 2 younger men can encapsulate the 80s so well, you 2 are fabulous
I'm so happy this made the album. Tyler's original version was already amazing, but Tim's production work on this is phenomenal.
Midnight ..you guys are bringing back my beautiful memories.. Thanks a Ton !
4 AM, the night is so peaceful and more listening to this song.
I listen to this song every single day, beautiful and Tyler’s voice is heavenly

First time I got introduced to the Midnight was when I heard Los Angeles and oh lord..I played it all night on speakers in my hostel...from the day after every one asked about the song...it was playing in every hostel for months 💕💕

Wow this song is sick! Even God is proud at you for making this music i know he is.
Midnight got me my imaginary gf! So happy to have her ❤
Love this song. Tylers vocals really shines here. Instrumental balance compliments very well
Ang there's a possibility
That one day, things'll get better
For the huddled masses in between
The shadows and the stars ...

Synthwave brings so much peace,
Synthwave brings back those memories,
Synthwave makes u think things which never happened,
Thanks big time "The midnight" for these all tracks.
Love them.
I can say these are the only things which makes me calm.
I have a place inside me where all those things will always stay which I can't write but can just visit listening these tracks.

Till there is this air filled with your music, retrospect would be my refuge for I refuse to be in present.
I'll just close my eyes and listen to this album for the next hour. Thank you
Oh God, how could a song be this beautiful to listen to. I'm surely keeping this in my heart. Even if I know I'll forget things some time soon, I'll try not to forget this one. Thank you for such a beautiful song 💌
It was already great when Tyler made it first on his solo career, now its pure art
This would be lovely to just people walking in Brooklyn and couples at a diner booth and in the snow it is just has such a lovely soft sound the band has released another gem
The story paints a perfect picture 🎨🌃🖌🎶🥰
I'm in Brooklyn right now. Watching the huddled masses pass me on Bedford ave and playing this song on my car speakers. Surreal. Wish you were here. 🌠
: )
Going through some turmoil with my wife. The guitar solo got me. Babe, we've been through worse..we can move past this.
The Midnight through their songs never fails to take you through the nightlife of 80's and once again they did it through this track. This is the reason why I have turned on all notifications for The Midnight. Thankyou once again.
I love this band. They successfully took the niche which was empty. Their music so lyric, nostalgic and beautiful.
Brooklyn is the most Beautiful Sounding Soft Synth music I’ve ever heard 🖤💜💙🟣🔵🖤 #themidnight #onelove
Hi Stranger, while listening to this beautiful song, close your eyes, imagine the arrival of that astonishing sunset, your inner peace. Right away, let the chords embrace for a moment the one you love most...Yourself. Now smile, you are alive.
this song heals my soul somehow
I'll always come back for this song❤
I think we can admit that the 80s-90s were the happiest years of the last three centuries, the world was taking such a sparkling route. We were lucky kids, now we are lucky adults, thanks to this music.
I love this song so much, it's my music every day, I like all midnight songs
Definitely the best song in the whole album, really beautiful, his voice, the music, the lyrics. Pure perfection ❤️❤️❤️
There are lyrics, and then there is poetry.. "And when the rent's too high
, We'll just buy cheaper wine" - man that feels like Springsteen.
How applicable this song is for today's Times and the hardships we all face.
Thank you for your faith belief and soul soothing notes, as a writer you trigger so many thoughts and invoke so many memories, to which I have cried tears and then let go, but also tears of happiness in the moments of utter bliss you create in my heart mind and soul.
Thank you.
Thank you for writing this song about your wife you tell it comes straight from the heart
