I just read Think Again too and was soo excited for a new Jacqueline Wilson! Also completely agree with your comments about Wuthering Heights, I didn't know there was an adaptation and was excited for a whole 2 seconds until you said the casting 😂
Your shelves look amazing!! Also group mine by genre and then alphabetically within each genre. Oscar is so cuddly!! My cat doesn't like being picked up at all sadly. Yay for knitting and gbbo!! Agree with what you said about casting for WH. Weirdly I'm 40 but have ever rwad Jacqueline Wilson. I think she was popular just a little bit later. It was all about Judy Bloom when I was growing up!
Thanks so much - I’m really happy with how they turned out! Painting them was pretty easy - the hardest part was the prep as we filled all of the holes for shelves that we weren’t using, after that the painting was pretty easy - probably took me a couple of weeks to complete as I was doing it on lunch break and after work rather than just blasting through it
I’m reading the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and almost finished! Will be watching the film adaptation of it shortly! I also can’t wait to read Think Again by Jacqueline Wilson. Even though I live in Australia, I very much enjoyed reading Jacqueline Wilson in my childhood and teenage hood. ❤
It’s been so long since I read guernsey that I can’t remember much, but I love Lily James so hope you enjoy the film! And aw, hope you enjoy all the nostalgia vibes when you read the new Jacqueline Wilson!
wonderful vlog as usual 💖 I always get so excited seeing new uploads of yours ! congrats on moving and settling in, I know how exhausting and time demanding it is ! I've been alternating between the Assassin's Apprentice, which I'm reading at the same time as my partner, finishing the Comte of Monte-Christo (my main summer read, oops) and listening to Starling House for the fall and spooky vibes 🍂 omgomg I'm in Canada so I don't always check to see if and when the new baker's season has started; I'll look into having access to it because otherwise I have to wait for it to be uploaded on Netflix. happy knitting as well and welcome to this wonderful world !!!! have a great day 🌞
Thank you so much! I definitely need to try and read Monte Cristo soon… just haven’t quite been able to make myself commit to something so big! The first episode of bake off was lovely - hope you can find it somewhere and thanks so much, having such a lovely time learning to knit!
@@ciarascorner It is soooo long I totally understand ! I put it off for years... it's my brother's favourite book so I constantly hear about it ! I'm looking forward to the vlog you'll make when you get around to it !
When I watched the movie Z For Zachariah I really loved Margot Robbie's performance.I would give her a chance here.Lovely moment with Oscar and your shelves are gorgeous!
I personally was super excited when I heard the casting for wuthering heights! Margot Robbie is such a great actress I think she'll be great and as far as her modern looking face you should really check out Mary queen of Scots the movie she played queen Elizabeth in it was a really good movie and showed how diverse of an actress she truly is! I haven't actually watched any of the other adaptations of wuthering heights because I didn't like the casting you'll have to let me know if one of the others was good!
Margot and Jacob definitely have modern faces! I don't know how I would feel about it while watching. And also, I think Heathcliff might not be white, so I'm not sure about this pick.
I don't think they need Hollywood stars to sell Wuthering heights. People would go to see the film anyway because they know the book, unknown actors would be so much better.

I love the green on the shelves, looks so cute! Oscar being such a needy boy! 🤩
The green colour on the shelves is so pretty!
Thank you - I'm so happy with how they came out!
You and Oscar were so sweet together! ❤️ The shelves look amazing!
Rewitched is on my tbr for this autumn as well! 🤗
Oscar is just the sweetest!
Thank you for picking up that kitty!!!!! Love the book shelves and so happy to see you talking about books
Hahaha always keen for an excuse to pick up a cat!

Oscar made me smile. It was much needed cuteness overload. ❤😊
Hahah isn’t he just the cutest!
I love the color of your shelves! How long did it take to paint them? Was it difficult?

I do really like Margot but struggling to imagine her in this role - time will tell! And thanks so much!
Thomasin McKenzie was in Life after Life, it was based off the book!
And also was in Last Night in Soho which is really good aswell!
Life after life - that’s the one - it was so good!
This vlog is such a great way to start the week-end ! :)
By the way i love your jumper at the beginning, where is it from ? :)
Thanks so much - that jumper is from H&M!
I organize my books by author, series, and by size.
Very organised!

It may work out okay, but right now really struggling to imagine them in the roles!

My thoughts exactly! And it would be such a great opportunity for up and coming actors, just like normal people was for Paul and Daisy!
