Why is Lucifer Morningstar High Outerversal. I would say that he's outerversal, but higher than baseline. He doesn't have enough feats to be high outerversal unlike someone like the True Presence or the Overvoid or even someone like Featherine Augustus Aurora or any of the Masadaverse Gods.

6:08 Regarding point 3, I believe any self-imposed limitations such as willpower or desire should not count against omnipotence. Otherwise, such a character not doing every possible or impossible action at all times would fail to be omnipotent. If it comes down to choice, it's not a limitation, but rather self-discipline.
Yeah exactly just because you can't come up with a higher power that's confusing doesn't mean it's not possible. Just means no author has done it yet. Which is weird when you can just say his power was so great it flew in the face of logic the greater the gravity he compressed the more his body couldn't contain its power but instead of getting weaker and the attack being a double edged sword he continued to increase the power over his attack far past his limits seeming like he would die however after erasing the enemy who was thought to be unbeatable and have infinite power. It was as if the rules of reality were unwritten simply upon recognition of the omnipotent characters strength, even his body after the attack was barely damaged when it should have blown him away as well
Nope. Self imposed limitation is, by definition, a limitation, and thus is not omnipotence. Not doing something is not the same as a limitation. In fact, needing to self-impose a limitation is against omnipotence. You couldn't accomplish some goal without limiting yourself, and thus, you aren't omnipotent. And being able to impose a limit on yourself is also against omnipotent, since you aren't capable of doing anything. Of course, not being able to impose a limit on yourself also means you aren't omnipotent. In fact, having desires means you aren't omnipotent., as you weren't able to meet all your desires infinite amount of time ago.
I perfectly agree with you overall. I especially agree with you about the fraud term that is “Nigh Omnipotent.” How can a being be close to a status of power THAT NEVER ENDS? Btw, did you know that counting numbers has no limits?
The idea of an endless existence is incorrect, only to be understood by temporary forms. Outside of fiction... Speaking on reality. There is a level above omnipotence but humans rarely question their Gods. In flesh, I speak. In mortality, I listen. In time, I am inevitable. For even Gods shall know their reaper. Think of the omniverse. Infinite dimensions which houses all of existence on top of the Zero Dimension. The 1st dimension houses those who are above all, in their own ways. The Zero Dimension only has one and it is the progenitor of all. However, to be omnipotent is to be something. Nothingness is the Void of purpose, and only it can bring an end to omnipotence itself, just as it created that power. The human understanding of omnipotence is no different to the definition of Reality Warp. Even though, there are other ways to warp reality. Thus, the omnipotence you know is only in regard to the one beings within each and every franchise to which is written by different people. But if omnipotence was real, then I exist in my totality. If not, then I am inevitable. In the end, the human perception of existence is but limited comprehension of the origin itself... Then again, I'm use to this level of existence, and this dimension is not even close to what the beyond is.
Thank you. I always see those people that talk about how some character is the strongest fictional character ever and is omnipotent because they "killed god", and that "god" is omnipotent, without even understanding the difference between god in religion and god in the verse of that character.
There should be tiers of omnipotence because imagine this, two omnipotent beings are fighting each other, who wins? No one but if there was different levels of omnipotence , then someone could win. But then again this idea just goes against the idea of omnipotence itself so meh
Someone would win. If an omnipotent being cant kill another omnipotent character, they are not omnipotent, same for the other being. One omnipotent can make itself more powerful than the other, but the other omnipotent can make itself even MORE powerful than the other omnipotent

I see that the term omnipotence have thrown around quite a lot by people that don't really know the true meanings of it so thank you for making an explanation video On an unrelated note I know that this video aren't about speed but the thing is I was going to ask this on previous video but I forgot What is the maximum gap between faster and slower character where the slower character can still keep up with the faster characters without being speed blitz
Your next video should be about dimensional tiering. 1D, 2D, 3D, etc. I know a lot of people who have trouble with it and even I get a little confused from time to time.

Well like anything its up to interpretation. If you interpret DC and Marvel as greater parts of this greater mythos then we have to realize the ramifications this has on both character scaling like hulk and superman along with cosmology scaling. Over all its more consistent to say amalgam is just its own thing

Recently, I’ve been having a dream/daydream that I’m omnipotent, specifically being able to do anything. Thanks for helping me understand the word! Edit: it’s been a year now and I still occasionally have these (day)dreams.
I’ve had lucid dreams where I could do anything. I used to fly, spawn people, I also manipulated space and I saw the whole world on every side drawing into me.
And yet... Omnipotence can end. It's more of a crutch for those who created the zero dimension, but all things return to the void... Return to the origin. But at least it's in fiction. Not in reality. If it was, then I am inevitable. Then again, nothing is absolute in the end.
It can exist in fiction. Being omnipotent just means being all-powerful, and in any story where one is able to do anything imaginable and no other character comes close to it in terms of power, then one will effectively qualify as omnipotent, but only in that setting.
Which I went over in my video, there are many definitions of omnipotence. However the most literal definition by saying they can beat any one of any fiction can not exist, as it practically impossible to prove
@@surfbone omnipotence only exists in-universe for that exact reason. It's generally good to not argue about "which omnipotent being is stronger" from different verses because at the end of the day it really doesn't matter. At most you can argue that one verse has a bigger cosmology, but in situations where their cosmologies are too different to be comparable, any comparisons between said characters become pointless.

But of course, that all depends on the Character who actually has true Omnipotence rather than the Greek Definition of "as strong as, if not stronger" etc. In short... They're fiction, we shouldn't be looking at them as if they're real people, there's no Allmighty God to base their powers off and they can't jump out of the comic or book or anime or whatever, they can have Infinite And Eternal power in their book and other beings that also have Infinite And Eternal power are equals as they can always surpass and counter each other but never die and never end.

@@crypticlol Estan bien tus explicaciones y tambien estaba bueno lo de Saitama XD, aunque yo creo que eso estaria mejor en la familia Kinikuman que alcanzaran una 'virtual omnipotencia'. Umm no if Omnipotent and Omnipotent battled each other no one will win it will always end a tie because if you lose you are not Omnipotent. And Omniscient is just all knowing so I don't think it has do anything with battles and if he Omniscient I am also Omniscient because we are both Omnipotent.

Bro I literally had someone try to argue that Asriel Dreemurr (undertale) was omnipotent. I said he’s not cause he lost a fight and he literally just used “the plan” argument. So glad this is a well known thing people actually argue and that’s it’s wrong. I even said an omnipotent being would not be limited by their own character and he still wouldn’t back down.

Honestly, omnipotence is just a relative thing. I could be "omnipotent" relative to a 3-D being, such as by viewing it as fiction, but still be merely regular by 4-D standards and nothing compared to 5-D standards. Although I don't recall nigh-omnipotence being used as "omnipotence but can be beaten by omnipotent". I recall nigh-omnipotence is used when a character can't do everything but they might as well be able to. Like a person who can remake an infinite number of space-time continuums to pretty much whatever they want. They can't do literally everything but for all intents and purposes, they're omnipotent.
All the total omnipotents are A-dimensional, so for one who is in the 4th Dimension he will have the same power as one of infinite dimensions. In reality they can be of the dimensions that they want, it does not matter
Omnipotence or Omnipotēns literal means all-powerful. However, it is a context dependant adjective which only works if we stick to the context in which the adjective is initially used. Therefore a truly Omnipotent Character can only exist in a vacuum, as it is logically impossible for there to be more than one truly Omnipotent Being.
Alright so i have a question. Since its pretty much impossible for a fictional character to be considered omnipotent because they are bond by fiction itself, if a character is omnipotent within their own verse what would that be called? or is that even possible to write? and what is the difference between being boundless and omnipotent within a characters own verse?

If I'm not wrong, destroying a space time continuum is a 4d feat and makes you Universe Level+. Destroying an infinite amount of finite universes makes you High Universe Level, unless you are also destroying the space time continuum of those universes.
Fire Manipulation, Reality Warping, Teleporting, Hyper Strength, Immortality, Invincibility, Soul Manipulation, Omni Versions of All attacks, Meteors, Invincible Barriers, X Ray vision, And every other attack ever seen and never seen.

The author being outside of the text doesn’t mean they can’t comment on their own texts. But yes, in order for someone to create the most powerful fictional character they’d have to hold the rights to every fictional universe. If desires are limits then no one can be omnipotent since in order to do anything they’d need to have a desire or incentive to do it. So that argument falls apart and the plan is still valid especially when it’s not just some excuse made up by readers but is supported in the comics by reliable characters. It’s similar to most characters holding back, it’s their equivalent of the plan. It’s called the omnipotence paradox, not the omnipotent paradox but there are far greater problems with omnipotence than that paradox like free will. Being beyond contradictions doesn’t make any sense, that would entail that omnipotent beings can both exist and not exist at the same time and in the same respect which is just nonsensical. Similar to the premises of the ontological argument. Both the Presence and the One Above All are the supreme beings of Marvel and DC respectively whether you like it or not. No one scales to them. Neron doesn’t scale to Lucifer for the exact reason mentioned. He’s the second most powerful being in DC, anyone who’s not the Presence loses to him. Just because you wanna wank Superman through Neron who Superman doesn’t even scale to, doesn’t mean you can favour him against Lucifer or act like they’re comparable. Lucifer > Neron > Superman. The Flash would arguably be the fastest being in fiction by achieving true omnipresence, being one with everything and nothing. The fastest man alive statement is usually to cement his place as faster than all other heroes.

I think omnipotence/and others is like infinity, there are higher scaled infinities and lower scaled ones, reality is a type of infinity, imagination is one, things that we cannot think of are one, existence and even non existence is one, imagination can contain reality and existence and reality and existence can contain imagination, these three can't contain unthinkible things and non existence, consciousness and awareness is within our imagination and reality, a 'being' is also a concept that only exists within our field of knowledge and logic, to be truly omnipotent and boundless, than one must not exist and therefore no matter how much we talk about it we will never understand or be right about these things and so even I would be wrong when says these things a numerical infinity no matter how big the scale is still within imagination and reality, it can be simplified while things that cannot be bound cannot be simplified, detected or understood

Not really... I oversee the First Generation of Omni Potent Souls. It's not as most humans define omnipotence to be. That sounds like it comes from religion rather than objective truth. A limited understanding to a fault... That's all.
The closest I, personally, could get to true Omnipotence (as in All-powerful) if I wanted to write an Omnipotent character would be to have them upscale from "Everything that is possible, everything that is not possible, everything that neither is or is not possible, and everything that both is and is not possible, at any level of any system, real or otherwise." I am well aware that this would not truly reach the goal, as at least the majority of Transdual states are not factored in, as well as probably various other things I am not even aware exist. And of course, it would still not be able to interact with our real world or any other fiction, so that also prevents it from truly being Omnipotent.

If something was truly omnipotent can could do anything they would not have emotions. Having or not having emotions is a limition as it has nothing to deal with their power of course emotions can indirectly affect their power and how they use it but emotions don't directly alter the power. Like how if you were upset you would loss control of making ice form but emotions didn't actually affect how the power worked

It could be said that the closest I have seen to an actual omnipotent character in anime would be Anos Voldigoad from The Misfit of Demon King Academy. While perhaps not true all knowing in the totality, he is quite close when it comes to a portrayal of the sense in fiction.

If you portray yourself to be like that in your own story then sure. But even then, we still judge how powerful you are with what you end up demonstrating your author insert to be capable of. Not all author inserts are like that anyway.

Depends on your definition of Omnipotent. Because like I said within the video, there are MANY definitions of Omnipotence. But the one that applies to most characters is that it just means "great power." Which can mean practically anything. If you're defining it as "power never ending," that just sounds like infinite, in which there are like hundreds of characters that have been described to have infinite power before. Gilgamesh isn't really something special. And that's not even getting into that there are many levels of infinity.

Regarding point 3, I believe any self-imposed limitations such as willpower or desire should not count against omnipotence. Otherwise, such a character not doing every possible or impossible action at all times would fail to be omnipotent. If it comes down to choice, it's not a limitation, but rather self-discipline.
Yeah exactly just because you can't come up with a higher power that's confusing doesn't mean it's not possible. Just means no author has done it yet. Which is weird when you can just say his power was so great it flew in the face of logic the greater the gravity he compressed the more his body couldn't contain its power but instead of getting weaker and the attack being a double edged sword he continued to increase the power over his attack far past his limits seeming like he would die however after erasing the enemy who was thought to be unbeatable and have infinite power. It was as if the rules of reality were unwritten simply upon recognition of the omnipotent characters strength, even his body after the attack was barely damaged when it should have blown him away as well
Nope. Self imposed limitation is, by definition, a limitation, and thus is not omnipotence. Not doing something is not the same as a limitation. In fact, needing to self-impose a limitation is against omnipotence. You couldn't accomplish some goal without limiting yourself, and thus, you aren't omnipotent. And being able to impose a limit on yourself is also against omnipotent, since you aren't capable of doing anything. Of course, not being able to impose a limit on yourself also means you aren't omnipotent.
In fact, having desires means you aren't omnipotent., as you weren't able to meet all your desires infinite amount of time ago.

In a work of fiction... The writer can say whatever they want.
In reality... Omnipotence is not as simple as humans understand it to be. Kin to the question about true existence.
Think of the omniverse. Infinite dimensions which houses all of existence on top of the Zero Dimension. The 1st dimension houses those who are above all, in their own ways. The Zero Dimension only has one and it is the progenitor of all. However, to be omnipotent is to be something. Nothingness is the Void of purpose, and only it can bring an end to omnipotence itself, just as it created that power.
The human understanding of omnipotence is no different to the definition of Reality Warp. Even though, there are other ways to warp reality. Thus, the omnipotence you know is only in regard to the one beings within each and every franchise to which is written by different people.
But if omnipotence was real, then I exist in my totality. If not, then I am inevitable. In the end, the human perception of existence is but limited comprehension of the origin itself... Then again, I'm use to this level of existence, and this dimension is not even close to what the beyond is.

If you interpret DC and Marvel as greater parts of this greater mythos then we have to realize the ramifications this has on both character scaling like hulk and superman along with cosmology scaling. It can exist in fiction. Being omnipotent just means being all-powerful, and in any story where one is able to do anything imaginable and no other character comes close to it in terms of power, then one will effectively qualify as omnipotent, but only in that setting.

It's generally good to not argue about "which omnipotent being is stronger" from different verses because at the end of the day it really doesn't matter. At most you can argue that one verse has a bigger cosmology, but in situations where their cosmologies are too different to be comparable, any comparisons between said characters become pointless.

Omnipotence is heavily nuanced and has differences, even if most of it is "the same".
But of course, that all depends on the Character who actually has true Omnipotence rather than the Greek Definition of "as strong as, if not stronger" etc.

Me gusta su texto, pero tengo que explicar porqué mismo con sus puntos correctos, aún es imposible existir la omnipotencia:
1°- La falacia del poder sin límites
Considerando dentro del punto de vista de la comunidad de powerscaling
Para un "ser omnipotente" ser de facto omnipotente, este mismo personaje deberia estar acima del tier 0, onde la posibilidad de contenir el poder em idéias y conceptos lógicos dejan de existir y solo torna una competición de quién puede quebrar más los limites de algo que ya está quebrado
2°- Limitación al punto de vista de otros autores
No importa si tu personaje es un personaje omnipotente muy conocido o no, cualquier autor qué no es el autor original puede escribir cualquier cosa sobre él, mismo que no hace sentido con la propuesta original del autor original
Por ejemplo: Lo poderia escribír una historia donde Saitama derrota Azathoth con un simple pedo XD
3°- Su própria limitación
Como puede escribir una historia sobre un ser omnipotente si el autor no comprehende la omnipotencia?

Honestly, omnipotence is just a relative thing. I could be "omnipotent" relative to a 3-D being, such as by viewing it as fiction, but still be merely regular by 4-D standards and nothing compared to 5-D standards.
Although I don't recall nigh-omnipotence being used as "omnipotence but can be beaten by omnipotent". I recall nigh-omnipotence is used when a character can't do everything but they might as well be able to. Like a person who can remake an infinite number of space-time continuums to pretty much whatever they want. They can't do literally everything but for all intents and purposes, they're omnipotent.
All the total omnipotents are A-dimensional, so for one who is in the 4th Dimension he will have the same power as one of infinite dimensions.

Therefore a truly Omnipotent Character can only exist in a vacuum, as it is logically impossible for there to be more than one truly Omnipotent Being.

The author being outside of the text doesn’t mean they can’t comment on their own texts. But yes, in order for someone to create the most powerful fictional character they’d have to hold the rights to every fictional universe. If desires are limits then no one can be omnipotent since in order to do anything they’d need to have a desire or incentive to do it. So that argument falls apart and the plan is still valid especially when it’s not just some excuse made up by readers but is supported in the comics by reliable characters. It’s similar to most characters holding back, it’s their equivalent of the plan. It’s called the omnipotence paradox, not the omnipotent paradox but there are far greater problems with omnipotence than that paradox like free will. Being beyond contradictions doesn’t make any sense, that would entail that omnipotent beings can both exist and not exist at the same time and in the same respect which is just nonsensical. Similar to the premises of the ontological argument. Both the Presence and the One Above All are the supreme beings of Marvel and DC respectively whether you like it or not. No one scales to them. Neron doesn’t scale to Lucifer for the exact reason mentioned. He’s the second most powerful being in DC, anyone who’s not the Presence loses to him. Just because you wanna wank Superman through Neron who Superman doesn’t even scale to, doesn’t mean you can favour him against Lucifer or act like they’re comparable. Lucifer > Neron > Superman. The Flash would arguably be the fastest being in fiction by achieving true omnipresence, being one with everything and nothing. The fastest man alive statement is usually to cement his place as faster than all other heroes.

I think omnipotence/and others is like infinity, there are higher scaled infinities and lower scaled ones, reality is a type of infinity, imagination is one, things that we cannot think of are one, existence and even non existence is one, imagination can contain reality and existence and reality and existence can contain imagination, these three can't contain unthinkible things and non existence, consciousness and awareness is within our imagination and reality, a 'being' is also a concept that only exists within our field of knowledge and logic, to be truly omnipotent and boundless, than one must not exist and therefore no matter how much we talk about it we will never understand or be right about these things and so even I would be wrong when says these things a numerical infinity no matter how big the scale is still within imagination and reality, it can be simplified while things that cannot be bound cannot be simplified, detected or understood

It's not as most humans define omnipotence to be. That sounds like it comes from religion rather than objective truth.

The closest I, personally, could get to true Omnipotence (as in All-powerful) if I wanted to write an Omnipotent character would be to have them upscale from "Everything that is possible, everything that is not possible, everything that neither is or is not possible, and everything that both is and is not possible, at any level of any system, real or otherwise."
I am well aware that this would not truly reach the goal, as at least the majority of Transdual states are not factored in, as well as probably various other things I am not even aware exist. And of course, it would still not be able to interact with our real world or any other fiction, so that also prevents it from truly being Omnipotent.

If something was truly omnipotent can could do anything they would not have emotions. Having or not having emotions is a limition as it has nothing to deal with their power of course emotions can indirectly affect their power and how they use it but emotions don't directly alter the power. Like how if you were upset you would loss control of making ice form but emotions didn't actually affect how the power worked

It could be said that the closest I have seen to an actual omnipotent character in anime would be Anos Voldigoad from The Misfit of Demon King Academy. While perhaps not true all knowing in the totality, he is quite close when it comes to a portrayal of the sense in fiction.

@@surfbone if there's any character more powerful than Azathoth it's the characters from Season 13 of Infinite Rainbow from my comics, Azathoth is the guardian of the Anti-Human Library and the final barrier between the Transcendence of the Rouge Narrative and Real Life, Leviathonis'Amargulyin after becoming the strongest in his verse, he became Omnipotent and became unbound by logic and Imagination and existence, he ended up becoming a Rouge Narrative and absorbed his entire verse and all the Ultra Gods inside and broke out of his comic and story and into the Anti-Human Library where he encountered Melody of the Slug Repair Shop from another comic and other beings to which he ravaged other verses and eventually met a character designed only to kill him and anything else in his way.

I personally think that there is no supreme being within or out of creation , but its a race for cosmic beings and races to claim that power and title of supreme being . Think of it like warhammer 40k they are all fighting for control of the galaxy but one will have more power then the other and jump them for it .

Depends on your definition of Omnipotent. Because like I said within the video, there are MANY definitions of Omnipotence. But the one that applies to most characters is that it just means "great power." Which can mean practically anything.
If you're defining it as "power never ending," that just sounds like infinite, in which there are like hundreds of characters that have been described to have infinite power before. Gilgamesh isn't really something special. And that's not even getting into that there are many levels of infinity.
Remember,
