Board and Dice has a very smooth preorder system on their web site for Gen Con. I used it last year for Barcelona, and I have another preorder for pick up this year.
Yeah, it's super nice that publishers are doing that sort of thing more and more. Just helps cut down on all the stress of running around trying to grab games you want.
If Play to Z is at GenCon, check out Lynx at their booth. I played (and purchased) this one at Origins. A real gem of a game that's not getting nearly enough attention right now. Highly Recommend!
I got to play ROCK HARD: 1977 recently. Production is top notch. Rules are fairly sImple. Gameplay-wise, I'd say it's clearly on the lighter side of the spectrum. Super fun, thematic and with a lot of variability. Can't wait to play it again.
That description sounds about like what I expected. Probably won't set the world on fire for more medium to heavy gamers, but I love a euro-y game with a lot of good theme.
@@markfenrick5661 They are one of a few companies that I buy from pretty much every time. I've backed there last few. I still have to get RPA at some point when it's in my budget.
I didn't get it played before recording this, but NOW! from Scorpion Masque (Hachette) is fantastic fun! We played it 4 times in a row our first go. This will be the little card game that I'm advocating most at the con for sure. If you see me, and want to try it, just ask. I'll have it with me.
Yeah, I'm not really a fan. I love music, but not while doing something I want to concentrate on. I'm the same way on the disc golf course. I really don't like it when a nearby group is carrying around loud music with them. 😅
Chit Chat will be back for sure. We've been having a lot of people ask about it lately. We put it on hiatus at the beginning of 2024, and we hope to bring it back (better than ever) before the end of the year. We're considering an adjusted format, and some other surprises too!
I hope you'll also drop by to check out the final version of Star Trek Captain's Chair... We'll have demo copies.
You know I'll be doing that!
River of Gold is on BGA. I've played it a few times on there and have pre-ordered a physical copy.
I had no idea! I'm going to have to try that now.
Great List! Maracaibo Pirates & Forrest Shuffle expansion, plus Windmill Valley are tops on my list...

agreed. and sweet promos!

Thank you for this! Just placed my preorder for Reef 😊
David isn’t lying. I can vouch that he carries Nana with him at all times. We ran into each other at Origins and played multiple games!
You know it! By the way, if you haven't played NOW! You're going to want to give it a try. I just got Seer's Catalog too, but still need to try it.
@@meeple OOOOh. NOW! looks like some hilariously good times! I'll have to hunt for it at GenCon!
I'm excited for We're Sinking releasing at GenCon! Especially since I learned about it from you guys a year ago!
Nice! I had no idea that would be first in the wild at GEN CON!
Doggerland looks interesting, I haven’t seen an English playthrough of it yet though, it should be at GenCon I think.
I'll be looking for that one. I saw that it was going to be there, and didn't know anything about it.

Well alright! I'll look into it.
The player boards def go to 11 in Rock Hard! Perfection!
Seriously? That's awesome!
Yeah River of Gold, fantastic Game!
I assume you played it on BGA? I didn't know it was on there.
@@meeple many times ❤
How the heck do you not have Video Game Champion on there?! :)
Ha! I'll have to try it at the show. Plus our contact at the publisher calls us out in our comments too much. 😂
@@meeple lmao
Great video. One small correction, Panda Panda will be coming out from AllPlay and not 25th Century
Thanks for that correction. I weirdly confuse those two publishers in my head frequently. 😅
Metrorunner does look cool! I'm also excited about the Clank: lairs and lost Chambers expansion.
Clank! Catacombs expansion could have easily been on this list. We just had to cut it down a bit, but I'll definitely want to get a copy of that.
The hacking puzzle in MetroRunner is what hooked me on the game.
Adding to my GeekList for GenCon. THANKS!

Thunderworks has a few games not in the World of Ulos and have more coming. I like that they are branching out more.
They always do such a solid job on all their games!
@@meeple they really do. They are one of my top companies.
Thunderworks is always on my “must buy” list!

My Crossbows and Catapults arrived today!
Sweet! I'm hoping we get it on our doorstep prior to GEN CON.
@@meeple it’s such silly fun
Great list.. Just wondering are there any games that are off the radar or that maybe good but no one is talking about?

Cat Poker is a fun little game
That's what I've heard. I definitely want to get a hold of Panda Panda.
Exciting stuff. Thank you.
Yeah, it should be a pretty good GEN CON!
We are so excited for Looot!!
You might be a bit biased. 🤣 But we're excited too!

Great list!
Glad you enjoyed it! You have anything on your personal list we didn't cover?
Whatever happened to Chit Chat? Will that ever come back? Or a new format in similar vibe?

Only one game I was involved in? Someone is slacking 😂 might be me 😅
Or there's a game that is on nobody's list that is awesome and everybody plays it at night at Gencon. So exciting :-)
Right?!
River of Gold map looks beautiful but too dense 😢my eyes feel dizzy 😵💫
You mean the board looks busy? Have you ever seen Bitoku by chance? Now THAT is a dizzying board.
@@meeple I know~ beautiful but 😵💫
