The only thing she did (and she did it so well! ) is brought the dorment feeling that people felt hearing the original and introduced it to the external reality. Andre knows the meaning. the point of producing it upbeat is exactly in the song lyrics. that they were in denial pretending to be happy when they’re really not. Andre is a genius artist
I was gonna say the same thing. The voice singer sounded amazing but sang it the obvious way it’s supposed to sound. Andre is the genius, rapping obvious feelings and expressions that a lot of people mask behind a fake smile pretending to be good while hurting inside. When you understand what Andre was doing… genius! Her? She was great. Great rendition.

do you even know the meaning of "Hey Ha!" ? its one of the darkest songs if you know what its about, but they disguise it very well to make it seem like a happy song, when in reality its far from happy

Not only is her voice beautiful, but she has complete control over it too. When you feel she’s about to hit high notes, she controls it and tones it down beautifully. What an amazing rendition. Well done!

Andre wrote this song for this beat n tempo.. but he cloaked it with a fun upbeat tempo.. you take away the cloak, you see Andre n what he was feeling through the lyrics he wrote.... A genius i would say

@@Interscepter they are saying that if you take away the beat and tempo you hear the true meaning behind the song (i.e the lyrics). He did say in an interview he hid the meaning behind the song with an upbeat tempo. The song is about relationships and how people are told that they should stay together so they hide their true feelings behind what people see on the surface. So the tempo and beat acts like people in a relationship.
Can’t believe I’ve only just found this, what she did with that song is just phenomenal and gave it a different life, absolutely blown away by her.
I would pay to see this live. It's hard to turn that kind of song into something like this
