Mine has 139k. I have replaced the water pump, purge valve, and crank position sensor. Other stuff would be running board motors and camera module. Typical higher mileage items I guess. It's not perfect by any means
@@javonta4422 no matter what my wife says I still love my truck! I have a 16 platinum V8. Bought in 2019 w/ 93k now has 136k. Since then I replaced the basic high mileage stuff. No major drivetrain issues and my truck has never left me stranded off the road. I avg 16.5 mpg as a spirited driver. Absolutely no regrets.
I just bought a ‘15 Platinum V8, 5.0 for 4k. It does need 2-3k worth of repairs, but I don’t think it was bad for the price. It has 244k miles, the engine is good. The problems it has it an oil leak and an overheating issue due to dry rotted hoses. Other than that, it’s good. Can’t wait to get it fixed and running 100%. I drove it around town a bit and absolutely loved it.
awesome truck, i just picked up a '16 Platinum.. my first truck/Ford, your videos have been a great help! looking forward for updates on this one. got a new sub!
Good looking F150! We bought a new 2011 Escape Limited new back then as the wife's daily. It was in that tuxedo black and I always loved that color when it was all shined up. The metallic was great.
I have the same one that I bought used with 85k on it. I really wanted a truck and at the time I liked everything in this one. Mine is 5.0 v8 and currently has 102k on it now. Running boards still work fine and I live in Colorado, very cold winters and dry in the summer. Added cold air intake, mudders, 20” fuel wheels and. Tuner she’s paid off so I’m gonna keep it that way. I hope to get another 300k out of her, I still love how she looks.
I got two years out of my power running boards (2016 f150) before i swapped out for non powered. I live in western PA and the mechanic at my local Ford dealer said I did well. They only work well in dry western USA climate.
Your truck is set to default to Canadian units. To set it to US, scroll over to Settings (far right on my display), then set up, units, select miles/gallons.
Beautiful truck but dang man you aren’t even gonna vacuum, it out before you do your review?? 😂😂😂 Just kidding bro, beautiful truck. I’m looking for something exactly like this. Can’t decide if I want a Platinum or a Limited. BTW, I’m in Ann Arbor 🤘🤘
Btw, glad to see you got the Coyote! That is the only engine I would have in my truck. So powerful and reliable and super easy to supercharge in the future should you choose to do so. The Ecoboost guys will brag about their 0-60 and MPG but IMO you can’t beat the reliability and power of the good ol 5.0! Enjoy the truck, I love it!
I have a FORScan question for you related to the platinum, I have a 2018 and it has the heated steering wheel and multi contour seats. I don't have anything on my sync screen for either one of those options so my use is somewhat limited. I noticed in a video you did it shows the heated steering wheel and seats on the APIM FORScan list, can you turn those options on and off in FORScan?
I have the same truck and it's also Canadian, and the default mph thing it's annoying, mine does the same I have to press ok everytime and it also does it with the power running boards, they always go back to auto, the won't stay down, as soon as you start driving they go back to auto.
I think I am going to have to keep my 2015 XLT as my work truck. Plowing and trips to Home Depot and Lowes and such. But I would love to get myself an older Raptor as my daily driver.
I have a 2015 Platinum in Blue Jeans Metallic. It's really dark from a distance......beautiful truck. 5.0 6-speed. Mine currently needs a new driver side step motor.....the one that gets used the most. It can be bought online pretty cheap. I woudn't buy anything newer than this.....too many problems with newer.
Is 100k + considered high mileage for these trucks? Are they pretty reliable after that kind of mileage? I’m in the market for a new truck and I am considering pulling the trigger on an f150 with 115k mes
Just spent 5500 bucks so the dealership could fix my 2015 F150 ecoboost with 50k miles on it. I bought it for 52000 at the same dealership. They made a mint of cash by me loyally following their maintenance plan. The pile came with extended gas tank and tow package. Good thing I never tried towing anything. Probably would have made it break down faster. Can't give it away. It taught me to never buy one of the worst trucks ever. It was specially built in Michigan (came with a cute sticker saying so). So like the dog doo doo. This piile is sitting in my yard to rot. Why at least it can't break down and gets better gas mileage and trying to get rid of it has been fruitless. I strongly suggest do not buy this model. It will cost you only grief and cash.
Sorry to hear. The 5.0 engine in the 2015-2017 model is the best one of the lineup. Once they added the auto start stop feature in the later model, it started to have issues.
I have the same truck with 221,000 still going strong just changed plugs recently. Great truck.
Looking to get a 2016 one like this. Are they good and reliable

It definitely can. I once came across a King Ranch if that year with over 270,000. I have an Oxford while platinum and I hope it lasts me 300,000 too.
I just got an 18 Platinum, I've always heard that the king ranch was the top package.

Does the 2015 have adaptive cruise control?
Yes

if u dont mind me asking how did u pay for this trim of truck? thanks
In the setting you can opt to leave the running boards open or closed position.
After 10mph they go back in
@@AutoDad not unless they broken 😅. I replaced driver and passenger and like you said I turn them off during the Northeast winters.
I have a 2017 F150 Fx4 supercrew v8 no ecoboost @150,000 miles any suggestions on keeping it running good. I bought it in 2019 with 48,000 miles
Change the oil at 5000 miles, always. And use a good full synthetic.

Nice informative video. Im planning to buy 2015 with 211k miles. Maintained looks on carfax 2 owners. Any suggestions? Asking $15k ..
Seems like a lot for 211k miles. Maintenance should be straightforward. I did a lot to mine.
i thought sync 3 was in 2015 onward
Why trade down a year instead of up?
I have a 2015 and been wanting to upgrade from SYNC2. Do you have a video or links to what you did to upgrade?
