If I recall correctly Butch Harmon was teaching a lot of players that leg separation followed by left knee and left hip rotating to the left drill back in the 90s.
@@ZachAllenGolf Here is a bit of an old Greg Norman video where Harmon and Norman talk about Norman rotating his left knees and left hip to the left coming down. Earlier in the video they also talked about Norman keeping his back foot grounded on the downswing so that he was rotating instead of tilting and raising out of the shot. th-cam.com/video/np-l2oojBVk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5nikGft2B8XKoUVN&t=1384 th-cam.com/video/np-l2oojBVk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_WU0O71IeTqDZ4rj&t=1668 There was an October 1993 Golf Magazine article that talked about rebuilding Norman's swing that had a page or two on the leg action change. You are incorrect, sir. The hottest golfer on the planet is Scottie Scheffler. I wouldn’t call a golfer who wins exhibition events “the hottest golfer on the planet.”
Scottie is a great golfer. No doubt. However, if all the players on the LIV tour came back to the PGA, I doubt he would win as much. Scottie's foot shuffle will be his undoing if he doesn't get that corrected. Quirky swing mechanics can work well for you when your young, but eventually get you in trouble.
@@azcharlie2009 I respectfully disagree. What you call a “foot shuffle” is actually a very fundamental move. There have been great driver’s of the golf ball who have slid their right foot away from the ball… Greg Norman, Bradley Hughes, even Tom Watson did it early in his career. If you are torquing the ground correctly in your downswing, your lower body moves away from the ball. Many amateur golfers who struggle with early extension may benefit from such a move.
Hey man, just come across your channel and love the videos. I’m a +3 golfer and suffer from early extension and have done for the best part of a decade. Just can’t get rid of it no matter what I try! Was wondering if I could send you a couple of swing videos and see if you can diagnose me and help cure this horrible golfing killer!

Might have been jimmy Ballard. I don’t recall Butch doing it could be wrong though.

Hi! I´ve been into this..sortof . But this is so clear and esay........I really thank You for this lesson.
Glad it was helpful!
Will the Down Underboard work for this drill as well?
Down under board is more about keeping the downward and inward pressure in the legs. Not the same as this.
LOVE IT!
Does the weight still shift to the front leg on impact?
It does just not too quickly.
👏👏👏👍
Thats the George Gankas move hes been teaching for years.

Touché that is a great point. But I would say over the last 6 months it’s Joaqo
