    Great video I will be tackling this to change my injectors. only comment would be to disconnect the battery before starting.

    Hey man great vid..learning more and more from guys like you.. Ive got a mint 95z convertible..Ive been in LA for the past 20 years but now in a cold climate, my Z now has fuel leaks. I can see it drip when it idles, not sure where its coming from but it looks to be dripping from the front end of the engine compartment, sort of under where the timing belt covers are. Any advice? Thx in advance.

      Very likely the fuel hoses connecting the two rails, they are probably factory and rotted. Another possibility is the hose clamps, they require almost seasonal retightening. A plenum pull to replace the bad hoses (along with most everything visible lol) wouldn’t be a bad idea though.

      @@TheFeesher Yep thanks for the quick response. Prolly long overdue on the hoses. Where Im at now I dont care for dealership mechs (or anywhere for that matter) but maybe my only "safest" option.

      No problem! Depends entirely on experience level. Without all the deletes done, this one one of the hardest cars to work on, so it’d just depend if the previous owner had it kept up with and made anything easier. With decent mechanical experience, my first plenum pull took like 6 hours because the hoses were so old and seized to the pipes.
      Problem with dealers is that no one will want to work on it, and the ones that do, will likely not know how, and you’ll be charged more typically in both cases. Just something to consider

    Silly design. Thank you for your video :) I am going to do this job once some parts arrive. My EGR and coolant lines are all still plugged up on both my 300zx -_-

    Awesome, my plenums still stuck so ive done the eight top bolts as suggested. When my temper cools down ill look for the other bolts!!

    Love the video I’m halfway through right now and trying to figure out how to get the old style injector clips off, I was able to get the metal binding off but when I pulled the injector clip shattered. Where did you get those replacement ones and how do you put them on?

      Thanks! Should be able to get the injector clips from Z1 motorsports, they are usually super brittle. The clips (I believe) come as pigtails and have to be soldered on. If you have the means, I’d recommend upgrading to new style injectors while you’re in there, they have normal clips instead of the stupid paper clip ones

    on the back side of the balance tube you talked about the vacuum lines. the one on the driver side what does it go to. I have put my plenum back together and I cant find where that vacuum hose is supposed to go.
