It really is the best instrument, one of the most ancient too. There are different types of jaw harp present here too. There is a woman playing a Khulsan Khuur - a wooden jaw harp played by jerking a string. There is a man playing a mouth bow. The rest are metal jaw harps
Incredible, the best I have heard, here in Chile there is a person who makes it incredible, and who travels the world in search of the history of this wonderful instrument, thank you very much
@@washifify Hello, the name is Nico Trompe, here in Chile the instrument is called Trompe, there is a page and a television program called La Ruta del Trompe, you will love it, watch it and look for it
Imagine adding drums to this performance. A full orchestra needs no more than percussion, throat singing and the sound of the jaw harp to bring any music or symphony to life. Imagine 2001 a space oddyssey with only that. (By the same rule, Barbie Girl by Aqua would probably sound awful, but the original did too so no change there!) And yes, I'm perfectly aware that 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' was scored for a full orchestra originally.
Hi Owl Shadow, I love your video. Would it be possible to get permission to use a snippet it of it for a project I am doing on the history of the jews harp? Is so what is the best way to contact you directly? Hello from Ireland
they are probably altay khomus style as they are also out of that region you can find them in oberton.pro shop bamboo one is more like asian/indonesian style one

It usualy happens when you try out or begin to play without propper knowledge, how to hold it right, how to rest it agaist teeth and pluck it... all should be made without force in harmony movements when playing most players had clipped teeth at one or another time and I know its not plesant feeling, if you learned your lesson that shouldint happen again..
So far the best I've come across as far as a group of harpist. I love every second of it! I need a group to play with, I'm missing out harping solo...
