Using the totes is the best way to go really. If there's any ammonia in the water, it will gas off over a 24 hour period and you don't have to worry about losing fish. Tank looks awesome Adam!
Haha, gotta keep it light. Too many people get crazy angry debating water changes. I've already gotten 2 private messages on Instagram saying I'm an embarrassment to the aquatic community due to my sarcasm lol
Tank looks great!!! I was curious what kind of light you using? Are there any major differences in your 300 gallon tanks compared to your others like glass clearness or anything else. I was looking at some 210 gallon Aqueon tanks and cost would be 1700 compared to custom aquarium almost 4 grand. Curious since you have one from custom aquariums and many others from swipe Marineland
Thanks T. My light is a kessil tuna sun. I do notice a difference in my 300 because I have low iron glass on the front panel. But really I wouldn't say the cost difference is essentially worth it. I was willing to spend on this because I got a big check when my 220 burst. Otherwise I probably would have gone with something less expensive. But I can tell the quality difference. And the stand is solid oak and I could park a car on it and it would hold
I recently have actually gone back to buckets on my refill. Not necessary, but accident proof for the most part. Only takes one mishap to stress fish and cause disease/death. Already tired of it, but better results imo. Looks like you already have "tanks" set up for an automatic water changer.
I do the same. After your past horror story videos I didn't want to take chances anymore. Also added a carbon block and sediment filter. I live in Kansas City and just couldn't rely on the water. Varies too much from month to month especially in the winter
Fritz buffer and not Seachem Malawi buffer? I am a big fan of Seachem and am pretty certain you have used it. Any particular reason for going with Fritz?
Nice video its looking healthy aquarium friend👍😊
Thank you
Many would love the water clarity that you call “cloudy.” 🤣 Things are looking great Adam😀👍🏻
Lol thank you Ben

Nothing wrong with buckets
@@adamc7918 Yes, yes there is. I would much rather have your setup.
Do you need a water change every week. What happens if ya go on vacation for 2 weeks. Thanks for the video. Great as usual.
No I don't have to its just my process. They are fine for 2 weeks. They seem to have a little brighter color with weekly changes

Thanks for watching Joe. Yes here across the state in st louis the water isn't consistent or reliable. Your plan sounds good
Can you show us the over flow filtration system?
This is just filtered with some larger canisters
How do you clean the algae on your glass tank? Mine is about a meter deep, and about due. Should I go inside the tank?? Please help

I've used both. They work about the same. Ive found the fritz seems to last just a little longer
