Just got an email from Xugua and had to look it up. I shot over a connect request on LinkedIn 👍
I got an email from xigua offering a contract to get 4 videos per month uploaded but I chose to create my own account (so I retain control) using my mobile phone number (with country code). That worked fine and I have uploaded 3 videos and got some decent views. Problem is I can't apply for monetisation because the 'Bind Douyin account' form does not allow my complete mobile phone number to be entered. Only allows 11 digits and not 12 like the xigua account setup. Doesn't appear to be a way to contact human support. Not uploading anything else until they fix that.
Douyin and Xigua are separate platforms, you shouldn't have to bind a douyin account to use it? Do you not have a point of contact with Xigua?

Further reading and seems I need to join the Creation Incentive Program in the watermelon video app. Can't see a way to do it on the regular website. Problem is can't get the Watermelon App to download to my phone at the moment.
