I was holding my camera below my face on my shoulder level and I am pretty sure I didn't block anyone's view. I always record from shoulder level and make sure I do not obstruct anyone's view, that is also why I prefer front rows. I never heard any complaints from people behind me at any shows. If someone would complain I would put it down. The dude in front of me in the first row however did from time to time, so I think you need to address your complaints somewhere else.
Honestly, I didn't take my phone out and just tried to experience it. However, I was sad that I didn't have any footage of it to watch after. I do think people should just be present and focus on the ritual. I also don't hate that there's such good footage of this to look back on now.
